The melodies are very funky and compared to your average Goa the vibe is a little laid back, which works well with the hints of space ambient it has. One way I thought about it is if you took MFG Project's Genisis and made it less chaotic, more coherent and smoother, you wouldn't be many Astronomical Units away from this sound. Rather than adding loads and loads of layers, Off The Beaten Track Of The Universe often achieves more with a little less. I have enjoyed listening to this quite a few times already. My favorite tracks are 2, 3, 4, 7. I like the track titles a lot too complete with Star Trek reference and I swear one of the sound effects sounded just like a photon torpedo launch! Can you tell me which two tracks you liked? I hope you liked The world is a narrow Bridge, because it is a very emotional and sad track. The name of thetrack feats very well in my opinion to the melody of the track. The world is a narrow Bridge means that the life is short, and the melodies do determine that very well in my opinion. OF the old stuff I unfortunately only really like Desert Sun,Journey beyond the Planet, New Kind of World and Experience and some Project Genesis tracks The other old stuff is good in my opinion, but not great. The album Message from God however, is great in my opionion and there are four or ive tracks that are really great for me. I would like to hear which two tracks you like of that album.

This is an awesome track and one of the best Goa Trance tracks.

Yeah I get that they did it to earn money, but that doesn't help me to enjoy the music, unfortunately. I love most of MFG's music, but this one just is not to my taste, although one or two bits sounded good.

OK firstly, the music is pretty lovely. About harshness though, when I heard the first track I was going to say any harshness was a marginal thing, maybe hidden by my tinnitus. But I heard the second track and I started to notice it more. It is not the worst ever, but it is enough to notice, and enough that if I crank the volume my ears will start to get tired after a couple tracks or so. Across the whole album though, some tracks are more tolerable in that regard than others because they don't all flood the upper mids all the time. I wonder if it is just due to the fashion of cranking up the upper mids to increase perceived loudness, which isn't such a great idea for Goa because most Goa fans won't want to feel like someone is hammering metallic objects right into their ear drums, well IMHO anyway. Maybe we just need a cassette version AP! Good album.

Ill just give an overall impression. There are very interesting pieces of music here, on all tracks. So i recommend if you like Mindsphere and New School goa, you will like alot of this one. But, something is wrong with the sound. I cant pinpoint it, but its very sharp, annoying and doesnt feel good. I think the wrong files was sent for mastering. Or rather, the wrong files was sent FROM mastering. Thats just my honest thoughts. Because it sounds harsh, digital, annoying, and the bass+kick doesnt feel well defined or pleasant. So while I might hear it in a technical problem area, you might not. But for me this reduces the grade ALOT. Cause, theres really no excuse for sounding bad anymore. Musically sure, but soundwise? no. Again theres tons of really cool tracks here, that I invite you all to check out. Maybe you dont hear the issues I hear. Afterall, Mindsphere is a great talent, so it saddens me that for me personally, this album goes into the trash just because of its sound. To me this music is WAY better than Astral Projection - For all Mankind. But the sound is even worse than it. Sadly. I cant understand what happened because his older albums did NOT sound like this. Again, sound only.... I hope I can come back to this later on , because i have lots to say about the music. But for now, unfortunately, the music will suffer due to unpleasant sound. And it is really sad, because the music deserves SO much better. 2.5/5 The best thing about this massive album is that he reprises or remixes alot of famous melodies. Thats worth the listen alone.

this one surely is a spiritual healing version. one of the better ones then again i dont think it sounds that good tbh. sonically it lacks in alot of departements. .

Even Fractal Glider has his own Spiritual Healing. A unique 8-minute track that radically changes its melody at around 04:09 (I love that kind of thing). I think it is not flat. the moder nsound of MFg was with purpose becuase they wanted to earn money with that album. The KIcks of the album are hard because it was the goal of MFG to earn money wit that album wit hfull-on sound. Also, the synths are a little bit like full-on, but yet very good in my opinion Just listen to the emotional and driving melodis, especially in "The world is a narrow bridge". The other tracks are also very good like Positive Energy, Electroplasm or Life is a strange journey.

I am listening to it right now and, honestly, not really enjoying it, sorry. The whole thing sounds kind of sterile and a bit tinny to me which I guess is the mastering. And yeah it is Goa but I feel like this has gone too far in the direction of modern psytrance. Not enough melody. My favorite MFG stuff is when they go quite dark and have some monstrous bassy synths whereas I feel like they were trying to go for a more hopeful mood in this album but it just feels kind of flat to me, but maybe that's just me. I am listening to Enlightenment right now and that one is a bit more melodic and a bit better. I will come back and listen to it another day because sometimes I just don't get some of this music on the first listen. Or maybe I won't.

What do you people think about MFG - Message from God? I think it is the best album from MFG and a very good Goa Trance album. There are five tracks that are very good and true mastrerpeaces. These are Shining Faces, Positive Energy, In Search of Truth, The World is a narrow Bridge and Electroplasm.All those racks have very powerful and emotional melodie that are only pure love for me and make me crazy. The best track is The World is a narrow Bridge. It is very emotional and sad and it is pure love for me. Also the track Positive Energy is a very good track with avery emotional melody that makes me crazy. The track Electroplasm is really interesting with the keychanges and the interesting melodies on it. Shining Faces is similar to Positive energy but not as craz and emotional, it is still a very good track and one of the best tracks of MFG. The other tracks I did not mention here are very good aswell and I thnk MFG sounded a bit like astral Projection on this album, with a bit similar soundscapes and filters. Many tracks have interesting breaks which imake them very interesting. So that´s my opinion on this ablum, what do you think about it?
