  2. Is it mad German techno at its best?
  3. Alex Bober - Invisible Forest
  4. I have always thought this was such a stupid comment that so many people say. Almost all music sounds dated, it sounds like the era it was made in. I can almost understand with early electronic music made on substandard machines and with bad mixing, but when something just sounds like the era it was made in, why is that a bad thing? Do people listen to Mozart and say "so dated, sounds like it's from the industrial revolution"? For me, Are You Shpongled? Is a timeless classic, it sounds like 90s chill and nostalgia.
  5. As the weather is cooling down I wanted to get some decent over ear headphones for outside (closed back) Ended up getting the Sony MDR-Z7M2, which are supposed to be a more budget friendly version of their flagship MDR-Z1Rs. The main things I was looking for in an over ear headphone was wide soundstage (as close as possible to an open back) while maintaining isolation. I have gone off noise cancellation recently as decent isolation seems to do most of the job. Just trying them out now and they sound really good. Tested them with some Shpongle, some LSD (Butterfly Dawn) and now playing Pleiadians - IFO Live Love getting new headphones and re-listening to old music šŸ’•
  6. you just gotta love that crunchy clicky sound quality, even though theres some limiter distortion in the low end it sounds fantastic to me! crystalline. and classic deep melodic progression similar to Noone ever dreams. kick and bassline is just mwoah chefs kiss
  7. Today
  8. yeah i understand. i think people slept on amen when it came out considering the different direction from their old style. it seemed to rub people the wrong way. and i get that. its not fully melodic as their older stuff, but to me it is a refined version of their melodic style. hard to explain but i loved it when it came out, while many AP fans hated it.
  9. amen is to me their best but i realise thats the unpopular opinion which is fine. i cant get enough of the nexus and electric blue. its funny you said you dont like enlightened evolution that much, that to me is the best from astral files by a mile! Thank god we all have different tastes or it would be a very boring world.
  10. Kinder Der Erde - Evolution (12" Mix) (1995). Of course, it’s not a 20-minute track, but 13 minutes is still quite a substantial length.
  11. Yesterday
  12. Bump! Any ideas?
  13. These are all free/name your price on bandcamp. Definitely worth checking out
  14. Does anyone have any experience with the Sony MDR-Z7M2? Now the weather is getting cooler, I am considering some closed back headphones instead of IEMs (can't do in summer as it would just be too sweaty) for when outside. They're a little expensive, but reviews seem to be positive but negatively compare them to Sony's flagship which is almost triple the price.
  15. I like hills just fine, I just don't feel the same thing as majestic mountains. These are more homely but do not give me a sense of awe
  16. Regular rotation this album
  17. Last week
  18. Pretty nice remix here: Biot - Oxygen Orgasm (Sonic Fusion Remix)
  19. Astral Projection - All Systems Go
  20. Astral Projection - The Dream
  21. I think amen is exceptional. Chaos, Elecric Blue, Heavens Gate, Sticks and Stones, ETechnodrome and The Nexus are very good tracks. The best tracks of Astral Files are all except Enlightened Evolutio and Ambience, altough Ambience is very good and Enlightened Evolution is only good.
  22. I think it's not. I prefer TiT 2, 3 and Astral Files. My favorites is from those years. Enlightened Evolution, Zero, In-Novation, People Can Fly, Utopia, Mahadeva and some more. =))
  23. Transwave - Robostyx again. One of the best goa trance tracks of all time.
  24. And the hills that start from the bottom you don“t like?
  25. There's so much wrong with what is popular and what is good I don't know where to start. Listen to the radio today. The noise people like to listen to. So for me what's popular doesn't tell me much about the music. Kabalah is a popular ap track but it's one of their worst so... What is "generally regarded" can suck a smol pp ā˜ŗļø
  26. It“s their worst album, but it is still good. There are several good and melodic tracks on it, so I am happy with it.
