What music are you listening to right now?
Plusminus replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Recently, Elysium was mentioned here, along with the claim that he doesn’t have any strong original tracks — only remixes — and that his own productions are more tribal in style and rather mediocre. Personally, I really like this track of his. It’s not tribal at all — it’s a classic Goa floater. Elysium — Atmosphere (1996). It’s little known because it was never released on any albums. It only appeared on the VA compilation Infinite Excursions (Softer Psychedelic Sounds). -

I’m about to dig up a real rarity 🙂 Trilithon – One World One Future. This track has a very beautiful melodic foundation and, at first glance, should be widely known — but it isn’t. It was released only once, on the compilation Psychedelic Vibes 6 (1999), and that release featured a 6:56 version. I don’t have confirmed information, but my understanding is that this track was released only once and has never been reissued, possibly due to copyright issues. I suspect that even dedicated Goa trance fans have never heard the 13-minute version of this track. Even fewer people know that it is actually a remix of a beautiful Persian melody. You can find the original posted at the very bottom. - Yesterday

[Disclaimer: the text below is subject to change, I will remove this as soon as I am totally sure with the text ... the only thing certain here is our third album: Metaphoric.] Skeletone · Skeletone - "Metaph0rik" - complete album It's finally here: the third installment of Skeletone - the project of a friend of mine and me! We have come an incredible long way, experienced a lot of things, in life and in music ... going back in time from false copyright strikes and building a studio, over birth of a child and building a house, up to tearing down a house and losing the very grip on life itself ... yet we managed to stay chill and sane in our sound and built our skills. It took a long time to finish, some tracks were lying around for an extended time ... and even Soundcloud itself had its voice in shaping the outcome - funny story I will gladly share, here and in other discussions about the future of music and creativity... Anyway: free music, enjoy! And watch out for more news, maybe coming at a later time. (Boy I wanted to get this out badly since days - waiting for a good date ... I think 20251222 is a good number ) cheers

Global psytrance scene meltdown?
RTP replied to CyclotronMajesty's topic in Cultural / Spiritual zone
After all these years I can say, that all things I took away from the COVID crisis are concentrated in this video: cheers -
I can't stop listening to this. It's so intricate and smooth and beautiful that there is no sign of it ever getting old or boring a bit like how I would never get bored of a beautiful mountainous natural scene.

Yeah, Cronomi had a few releases that were pure instant classics. Too bad Subra and Lapsus albums never happened.

You forgot about this track and now you're happy again -
Somewhat agree. There's a certain vibe of total randomizing on the sounds. Lot's of cool ideas and elements, but coherency / flow is not really there. Shame, because I was really looking forward to this! This almost feels like a "live" album in that sense. The One Thing, Liquid Love, Electrosurge and Transmitter were good tracks though. I liked those. Especially Liquid Love. It feels like a 2010 Fullon track, but new ideas and production. That bassline is awesome.

"Great intuition" is really well said. I agree completely. Lot's of wonderful melodic storytelling here.

Like I said on the other thread, it's really forgettable. However one feature that I do enjoy is the fact it still sounds like AP. We have a lot of artists that have similar style of sound, like Median Project etc. but they're much more dark in nature. This is like the version where it still floats and is trancy and progressive in nature. About sound quality: Listening on my monitors, the sound seems to break on the higher frequencies - and where the heck the is the lower end? There's so much compression.

Astral Projection - For All Mankind
astralprojection replied to astralprojection's topic in 2022 - 2025
having listened now 6+ times thoroughly, no matter how poor the sound, the music is also not good. the melodies are overall too simple and boring to. Namely, Into the void, Transform. Its like "hey, this is a cool melody watch" just like they has always done. and we watched (listened) and we thought it was really cool. but now they just seem ... OFF. ive heard rumors avi is doing coke and lior has lost his mind. but who knows. -

Is good in my opinion, at least they keep with their own style that I appreciate very much. -
Mindsphere music seems to be made with very great intuition on the fly and is very dreamy, is different from everything else I like it

I'm really sorry to hear this news. Cronomi was one of the few labels that I really admired and followed. Music itself made strong impact on many goa-heads who were into the second wave but also on some older goa-heads too. I believe you guys can all be proud of yourself and what you did through many years. Also I can understand most of the reasons you mentioned. I can only wish you best of luck in your next adventures!

Kitrinos started following Infinite Zen - Goa Generator and Omnivox: Surrender (Goa Madness Records) OUT NOW!
-
Omnivox has been a hit or miss for me. The few times that he hits the right spot though, it is rewarding! Gift of unsanity is my favorite here. This album deserves more attention I think.

Plus the mastering is loud, too much compression (as with some other releases on DAT records/universe, which is a shame). -

Bought it when it was released because I like the two first tracks (especially tr. 2), which had already been released in the Mind Rewind series. Unfortunately, the rest of the album didn't appeal to me. I found it boring. That was my last blind buy! -

does the music get better each time you spam it? you dont even post links anymore. wtf is a galaxy liquid sky. this is a very strange remix of space dwarfs not sure how it was even on an album. everything good about the track was destryed into something garbage. then again i never understood space tribe. that was always trash to me. but this? comon. -
