  1. Today
  2. Brother we are living in the land of a wannabe dictator. He is almost 80 years old and implicated in the greatest human trafficking operation in history. There is solid evidence that he raped underage girls, but his administration is actively covering it up in broad daylight because the media will not hold him to account. He has shredded the rule of law and the constitution. He is mind numbingly stupid thinking he's always the smartest guy in the room, fires anyone who gives him bad news, and has run our great economy right into the dirt. We are currently living in a land where shootings are fairly frequent, a trip to the grocery store is becoming twice as expensive and half the populace is deluded by his cult like media propaganda. It's hard to rank the evil coming out of the White House, but I would say having a secret masked police force that has an unlimited budget snatching brown people off the street with no due process and nobody to stop them is particularly terrifying. And the people that are charged with upholding the law and protecting us? Sit on their hands cowed in fear and subservience. The economy is in the toilet, and they are rapidly destroying protections for the people with an ultra right wing Supreme Court that has given him immunity for his actions. That said, I have no room to complain. I weep for the people of Gaza who are starving or the people of Ukraine who are currently living under war by a mad man. Our country is struggling with the massive corruption, but currently I am well and still listening to psy. Most people in this country are appalled by the constant lying, deception, and cruelty by the current administration. And we are only 6 months in to a 4 year term. But back to books, getting ready to start The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. Heard good things!
  3. I feel that a lot of the old acts that we loved back in the day, started making music that was more commercial and less to the tastes of us fuddy duddies, but recently a lot are pivoting back as the people they made the pop sound for are no longer interested, and they know that we are all stubborn and will be the ones paying to hear the old sounds 😁
  4. Flying Rhino Freestyle - Carribean Eclipse Next up, Cornwall Eclipse Some of the best downtempo comps made.
  5. When people say things like a movie remake has ruined the original or a change in music style has ruined an artist. Do they not understand that the originals are still there and unchanged? If the next AP album isn't too my liking, I can still listen to the old ones that I do like (not did, do)
  6. I love grimdark fantasy and sci-fi How is everything over there for the normal folks? All I get to hear about sounds like hyperbole and I come away thinking it can't really be that bad, can it? Can it?
  7. That sounds really interesting, I want to check her out. I'll put them on my reading list (although that's really long right now 🫠
  8. Yesterday
  9. "Each of us has a twin in another world!" Since Mergi and I are the only ones participating in the topic I now will add that I believe this is the only place to find this particular Miranda track Tellus Twin. Personally I feel it goes on too long and could've been tightened up. Also I would like to request Suntrip's digital label to maybe discuss releasing here albums with a remaster. They're of course quite good and just need some TLC. And I'm aware of the limited Spiral Trax version found here. Beatspace
  10. I'm rooting for them. If they drop a great album in their style what's not to like? If it's not to your liking nobody is forcing you to listen to it. And it's not like they haven't given us a huge cache of great music.
  11. E-mantra - Drifting Great floaty downtempo, a dnb track, some progressive style, and of course a goa track!
  12. Like most I'm actually stunned that this is actually happening. Hoping for the best, but how many times has a project from the golden days come back to disappoint? Ah well, fingers crossed! And yes Iboga seems an odd choice. Highest bidder? How is this not on TIP or Suntrip or Global Sect?
  13. Superb topic that for some reason I'm just discovering. Maybe should start lurking again. Just finished The Devils by Joe Abercrombie and Empire of the Vampire as well as Empire of the Damned by Jay Kristoff. All were quite graphic and great reads. Highly recommend if you're into grimdark style of fantasy. Currently reading Illusion by Paula Volsky about changing attitudes and how horrible exalted classes are to non-exalted. Anything to distract from my terribly disappointing country. I apologize and want to reassure you normal, educated Americans are not ok with what this fascist administration is doing.
  14. Hi I'm az nhjo hyennro

  15. I haven't posted much here yet, but this is something I have to share. I am currently obsessed by the books of Elena Danaan. Her first book describes the 100 extraterrestrial species involved with our planet. She writes that the species from Zeta Retucili are not friendly and what was the reason of the sinking of the Titanic. In her second book she describes what happened after the Roswell crash in 1947. These books are highly recommended if you are interested in UFO's
  16. This is still a great album, very Solar Fields, mature resounding but resonates nicely when you let it unfold.
  17. A lot of Solar Fields music has aged very well. I love all of his output except for the recent Origin releases that never grabbed me. This though, this gets listened to still, 15 years late
  18. No one else into the cheese fest that is Reverse Universe? I've seen some cheesy psy being pedalled recently, so maybe check this out too!
  19. I remember loving this, I was sure I wrote a review, I guess not though. Going to give this another listen now...
  20. Last week
  21. I listened to this today, it is still amazing, every track plays in to a huge album. I always think that it's ended, then the ambient track comes on to round of the experience in style. Is there a moon in your window? Is Madness laughing? Is Madness laughing?
  22. We've been having tsunami warnings here. I live fairly close to he coast, and the earthquake off Russia has definitely made a lot of potential problems, but luckily I Iive far enough inland that it's unlikely to be a problem. However, the last 2 days the trains have been delayed for hours and hours because of this and it's taken me ages to get to and from work. Very tired
  23. The Original Entheogenic
  24. Did this ever happen? If it did I totally missed it because I would totally be paying money to hear this
  25. I have never heard this release, but I have listened to Easily Embarrassed - Tales Of the Coin Spinner hundreds of times, but I have always had it in my mind that it was an alias of some other artist I am now drawing a total blank on. Their Bandcamp page shows that I am just completely wrong, but am I? Were these guys part of another downtempo group?
  26. For some reason I do not have any of these virtual releases on my DAP I just searched of Ishq and all it brought up was compilation tracks. What is wrong with me? Why have I forsaken Matt Hillier? I doubt it's because he charges like $100 for his new releases, even on digital formats, because I would still love to listen to the stuff I bought when I was into buying CDs
  27. Was there ever any Stillness Vol 2,3 or 4? Seeing as no one commented on this in 16 years, I guess no one else is bothered Gus Till has a lot of stuff on Bandcamp in a similar vein and a lot is "name your price" Check it out
  28. This is one of those albums that randomly come on and I'm like "wow this is great, what is it?" Then I check and am like "Of course, this is amazing" but for some reason never choose to actively listen to. It's weird because it is very good, I am not sure why I always skip past it when searching what to listen to.
