I don't think there's any Bad Track here (even if I don't like Track 3 that much), and my favourites are Tracks 7 And particularly 5 ! Just listen to the bass on Compulsive Dance and your booty will shake as well. Oforia/Tandu/Pigs in Space is just what I appreciate to spend my "cd-budget" on. Mind-altering,psychogroove from probably the greatest flurosound-designer in Israel. The pumping beats just let you stand up and dance. The atmosphere of this release is quiet futuristic, the filters on the melodies are massive. If you are looking for hard, progressive and tribal goatrance then you should try listening to this one. There isn't any boring stuff on this release. Relentless basslines and great melodies that flutter in and out at just the right moments. Ofer is one of my all-time favorites. Although every song is good, they all have very similar structure. Ofer definitely emphasizes different sounds in each song, so its not too repetitive. However, it is fucking FAT and HARD! I just loooooove Ofer's metallic, grinding, driving style! At the end of some songs, the melodies get a tiny bit too sugary, but they still make me fly. Well, I must admit in the heat of the modulation blitz on this album I kinda lost track myself, but considering this album was made with modulation lovers in mind AND as such will blow your head CLEAN off, you just gotta ask yourself one question: Do I like modulation? Well, do you ... punk?! Apologies for the long introduction but the heavy use of modulation (i.e. a change in pitch, typically, one note up or down) on this album calls for attention. It's an old debated topic in psytrance circles: Is it cheesy or ain't it? I find it cheesy, I'm afraid, not quite sure what bugs me the most; the fact that the artist wants to entertain me doing the exact same thing only one note different or the fact that the artist apparently doesn't have any more to offer! Not that there is anything wrong with modulation in itself, but it's a tricky path to walk. One example (of many!) where it's used splendidly is Cosmosis' track Inner Space from Contact. On Delirious it just sounds like a typical, easy way out. Anyhow, besides challenging my taste with his love for modulation, Oforia's album aint bad. Aint bad at all ) It holds much of the mid nineties goa'ish feeling I like from this period, though I prefer it even more melodic. Closing track Dew Point is a beauty, though. Also opener Maximiser, Cream, and the title track Delirious maintains a good pumping rhythm and are bound still to set the dance floors on fire. Provided the modulation issue isn't an issue! So, in conclusion. If you don't mind or even like modulation and looking for quality mid nineties goa, you need to try this. Chances are you'll love it for it's catchiness, energy, and goa'ish feeling. If you don't like modulation this album will put you to the test on 4 tracks, but there may very well be enough good tracks to go around still ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then I clearly don't like it. This album is full of these pointless semi-melodies. The energy and driving force usually derives from the sheer amount of sounds and rawness of each sound rather than composition and arrangement of the track. Even so, I guess it's done with a certain skill, and when there are melodies, harmonies, they are usually pretty good.
