Ok finally its here. DM records first comp. I've been reading the tracklist over again for months now and was hoping for a great comp. And fuck me psydewayz if this aint the goods!

1)Atrocious Berserker kick things off. A comical intro to begin that doesn't scare us at the start, as many will anticipate judging by "that" cover. A trak where the kick almost disappears, and other elements of the trak do ALL the talking. And they talk a lot. Fantastic trak title, great group name. A fave.

2)Trax I've heard from both these acts have been very rockin'. This is no exception. The first half has the sweetest "play me loud out in the bush" sounds for a while. Escalator going UP!. Percussion is excellent throughout. Another fave.

3)I like Metallaxis trax, this is good too. Just fuck that stringed intruder off and were in business. Crap song title.

4)Straight up pounding, down the line sounds here. 150 bpm suits me just fine. Some etheral sounds that offset nicely. Then kinda samey for a tad too long. Not bad. Not great. Funny trak title ;)

5)Another fave here. Do Japs make some fantastic and really twisted tunes,(looks over at 7" collection) or is it just me? No. No its not. Outstanding trak with a rock feel that shakes me all night long. Almost like the whole trak moves in a rythmic unison, sorta like a rythm guitar riff. Did I say outstanding? Cos' I meant Outfuckinstanding trak.

6)A trak where the kick just won't keep still. Fills every 8, 12, 16 etc that you'll either love or hate. I love it. Kinda' drills into your head very nicely though. Polished high end synth sounds that work a treat on rearranging my brain. More 150 bpm madness. Nice. Tops project title, perhaps Dave and Krusty were on the same thing?

7)Phobium with an opening sample thats few and far between on this comp. A very rythmic trak with piercing synths. A rockin' snare adds that swing to the beat that I love. The synths are staying in that groove also. An added, almost melodic couple of notes provides relief. Fuck this is good.

8)Peacespect with the best intro I've heard in a long while. An industrial edged, plodding affair that I wish had evolved into the trak. No matter, someone slows the record and then BOOM, 149 bpm. A great melody that guides nicely, adding to the melancholic vibe is welcomed in shortly. A piano riff plays at the breakdown, and introduces a sample. I'm not sure if i hate it. hmmm. Perhaps a bit wanky toward the end, but not a bad finish. I like the start best.

9)Claw with a ParaNoize rmx. I like the trak Claw & ParaNoize did on Multple Personalities. I was hoping this would be nice also. And it is. Just nice though. Very busy synths will screw with your head, whilst making others cringe. A great sample to finish.

Ok. I got four cd's and a 12" today and this hasn't left my stereo. An addictive sounding comp that has few weak points. Its hard n' dark but its catchy as hell and very rockin'.

A promising debut from D.M that may not have won fans with their label logo or sleeve design (perhaps they did?) but deserve to with the tunes inside.

Ilikethisawholefarkin'lot.

Nice sentiment inside as well, massive cheers n' beers to Devils Mind crew.

Is this your first review?

You have a hard-on the size of Texas for this album, by the way you've been sticking up for it, anyone would think you've got shares in the label!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Sounds interesting...still not bought on it though...but I do wanna hear that Savage Scream track, it'd be awesome...

Haven't heard your opinion of Schlab 7 yet...been all quiet on that one...thought that was your bread and butter...

PM sometime to discuss this without the  onlookers...
