I've made an Ambient mix

Well it's just a simple PC mix, but I think the music selection compensates for that ;)

It's 1 3/4 hours long. Here it is:

Transmissions in Resonance

www.sonic-energy.net/audio/AstroCortex_Transmissions_in_Resonance.mp3

tracklist:

1. Dots (aka Atom Heart) - Spinout Segment

2. Aphex Twin - Blue Calx

3. Modula Green - Shellground

4. B12 - Infinite Lites (Primitives Mix)

5. Global Communication - 9 37

6. The Higher Intelligence Agency - Influx

7. Pete Namlook & Charles Uzzell-Edwards - Environment (twosevenzero)

8. David Moufang - In/Out

9. Qubism - Angels in t:me

10. Pete Namlook & DJ Brainwave - sorti destinatus

11. Tetsu Inoue & Carlos Vivanco - Plexus Solaris

I had to encode it in a very low bitrate (80 kbps) so that it doesn't exceed 60MB. Tell me if you want the mix in a higher quality.

Hope you enjoy the trip :)

EDIT: now available in a higher bitrate (192) =)

you cannot sacrifice size for quality. most people here wont put 80kbps stuff on their pc's at all. 192kbps at least please.... :)

i agree.

please put the right quality.

and tracklist :)

No problem, if you tell me where I can upload a 100 MB file. Savefile.com would only allow 60MB.

I'm gonna post the tracklist later. I doubt you have heard any of the included artists at all, so a tracklist won't really determine if you'll like it or not. They're all professional artists who've been in the electronic scene for ages, so you can expect quality stuff.

Why don't you just download it and listen to it first, is a tracklist really that important? As I said above, I can still send you a high quality version per ICQ or MSN. I can do it right away, if you have a slow connection and won't bother downloading an 80kbps file.

boy you're mysterious :)

i'm just hoping you'll post the track list at some point.

it's not a condition for dlding the mix.

I just wanted to encourage the "I won't take the risk if I don't know the tracklist"-people (if they exist  ) to dload it. It's not that I take you for one of those people, Moni :)

If they're professionals that have been making music for ages, I'm sure some of us have heard about at least a couple of them?  :)

heard about: sure

But I don't think these artists are too popular in the psy scene. It's nothing like Shpongle et al.

A tracklist would be nice indeed!

Oh and http://www.megaupload.com allows 250MB!  :)

www.yousendit.com allows up to 1GB but only for a limited number of downloads

otherwise, i recommend www.mixupload.com ;)

oh yeah, we never heard of these artists

356912[/snapback]

That's irony, right?

Of course most people here may have heard about Aphex Twin or Pete Namlook for instance, but I don't think there are too many here who are familiar with their work, i.e. who have actually ever listened to that classic old stuff.

I for one think it's a bit more thrilling if you listen to a mix first without knowing what the tracks are, then maybe speculate a bit: "hmm, could it be ___ or maybe ___?" And when you finally see the tracklist it's like "ah cool, it's ___, I think I should engage in this/these artist(s) or that style more (or avoid them)".

I just wanted to bring that music a little closer to the psynews community, and perhaps let one or the other have the same great experience with it that I had myself, that's all.

If you really didn't mean it ironically, just ignore my post :) .
