  1. When it comes to nitzhogoa music, than there is no better example or showcase for that kind of sub-genre than Sita Records, Belgium/Norway based record label run by Elias Gits aka. Agneton and Boris Huskić aka. Goalien. So far they released two compilations – Nitz-ho-goa, Protoza and two albums – Goalien – Psychedelic Dilemma and Persistent Aura – The Grand Julian. Their fifth release is sequel to their Protozoa compilation, entitled: Interstellar Evolution and it's compiled by label-heads Agneton and Goalien. Is it evolution, well let's find out! Artist: Various Album: Protozoa 2.0 Label: Sita Records Style: Nitzhogoa Tracklist: Goalien - Discarded Entity (Part I) (06:39) JBC Arkadii - Air (08:10) Midi Rico - Explosions Wackier (06:58) Zed Reactor - Vega Sector (08:02) Dragun - Brave New World (07:04) Ephedra - Time Machine (07:26) Phargua - Digital Dew (07:59) Ephedra - Landscapes From Heaven (Extended Version) (08:17) Ion Vader - Liquidious Fleshbag (07:53) Goalien - Discarded Entity (Part II) (08:21) First track is Discarded Entity (Part I) by Goalien and guess what it starts like one big badass hurricane, a bunch of oriental melodies followed with big beats on 157 BPM. I'm not that much into nitzhogoa music like some of you but in my case, Goalien is the ultimate king and he owns this genre. Discarded Entity proves that – superb track! I had pleasure to work with JBC Arkadii (Arkadii Tronets, from Russia) on Pantheon compilation and I must admit that I like his stuff and I was very curious about Air track. It starts slowly with little melodies in background, right after that comes rhythm and melody nicely devolpes until first break. Interesting part is around 4th minute mark – some amazing oriental-sounding scales. Nice track! Third track is from (at least for me) unknown artist called Midi Rico (Boris Hoechstetter from France). Explosions Wackier is energetic track and it got some interesting parts but after couple of listenings it gets dull and boring, but it's first release so hopefully next one I'll like more. Zed Reactor aka. George Antonopoulous from Greece is one of the better representatives of nitzhogoa style. Last year he released full-lenght on Ezel-Ebed Records and now he presents his new track Vega Sector here on Protozoa 2.0. Track got some nice beats but I'm not in best relationship with Zed's keyboards and melodies, so yeah this track is something similar to material on Interplanetary Entity but with better mastering. If you like Interplanetary Entity you gonna probably like this one too. Dragun is Hugo Aguair from Portugal and it seems that Brave New World is his debut release (kudos to Elias and Boris for giving an opportunity to new artists). First time I heard this track I tought how chessy it is but after couple of listenings it's actually pretty solid. Love the melody around 4th minute mark (reminds me on Alienapia) and part which comes after, just great. It seems that Alexandre Cohen from Ephedra project decided to release as much as possible material in 2012, well that's actually great, especially because he delivers some solid Goa trance (on Shaltu) and now some nitzhogoa. Time Machine got one of the most epic nitzho drum-kicks, it's just perfect and love that kind of kicks, something similar Emmanuel from E-Mantra did on Valley Of The Kings track. Interesting part is around 6th minute mark, nice build up and good ending. Solid track! Phargua is Sander Moyson from Belgium and he is another deb here. Well, unlike the first two, this guy is familiar to me and I remember that I heard some of his works online and it was, hmm, good experience. Let's see what he brings in Digital Dew track. It's fast one, 158 BPMs but you won't feel rush at all, track is somehow deep at some points (after third minute), there are few nice melodies that I like a lot, especially the final one, wow! Phargua is for sure one of the positive findings. Landscapes From Heaven (Extended Version) is second track from Ephedra on this compilation and it's a bit faster, but more important – much much deeper and emotional than Time Machine. I love the way he layered this one, melodies are not that much in the forefront and if you're looking for some deep and emotional nitzhogoa, this would be perfect example. Good work! Ion Solounias from Greece is man behind Ion Vader project. He already released some tracks on various labels and now he's presenting his style on Sita Records. Liquidious Fleshbag kicks off very aggressive and you can feel the rush of nitzhogoa rawnes and power. If you ask me I really like this stuff, more aggressive than melodic, don't take me wrong, this track got plenty of melody but what define better Liquidious Fleshbag is that badass aggressive feeling. Superb track! Discarded Entity (Part II) is closing this compilation and second part is more subtile than first one. I'm still in love with part I and this one doesn't excite me that much yet, however it's good track for the ending of Protozoa 2.0. Conclusion – Is it better than first Protozoa? - No. It is evolution though and it does presents new artists and yeah, there are some superb tracks here but it would be unfair to discredit first Protozoa, just because the fact that it's one of my favorite nitzhogoa compilations, so this is something like Terminator 1 and Terminator 2, Alien and Aliens, Star Wars episode IV and The Empire Stikes Back. It's equally good and I would like to recommend this one not only to nitzhogoa addicts and collectors, but also to all of you who are into melodic and positive Goa trance music. It's mastered well and it got one damn nice artwork. Listen samples, buy release, find out more about Sita Records here: http://www.sita-records.com/

  3. Artist: Agrabah Title: Pharaohs of the Galaxy Label: Sita Records Date: June, 2017 1. Visitors 2. Pharaohs of the Galaxy 3. Endless Sunshine 4. The Freeman 5. Destination Moon 6. Schrödinger's Camel 7. A Tale of Blue and Orange 8. Inside the Magic Lamp 9. Cyclamen Anyone else have trouble spelling Pharaohs? It's that f*cking a before o that gets me. All right here's what I know about Sita Records. They don't release a lot of stuff. They are different than the other labels when it comes to goa trance, releasing music that is more nitzhonot or uplifting in nature. Now that may or may not be your thing. I don't know what you're into. Probably some kinky sh*t that you don't want your mom to find out about. Worry not, your secret is safe with me. As I've stated previously it's hard to take Nitzho seriously with all its rampaging melodies and laser kicks. Agneton seems to really enjoy it though. Have you seen his Facebook videos? That dude is hype! Anyhow this up and coming project successfully blends goa and nitzhonot so that it's not a total cheesefest. The album is short coming in at under 60 minutes. Power is there, melodies of course, and I think if there was a soundtrack to Middle East life this might be it. It's hard not to nod your head to this and as usual with this label the sound quality is top notch. I don't know what the bpm's were on Inside the Magic Lamp, but if you're not careful listening to it while driving a ticket could be in your future. Normally I don't like my music moving at the speed of freefall, but this was pretty cool and intense. That said there are tracks where the niztho buildup envelope is pushed almost to the breaking point (Schrodinger's Camel), but those were rare. The wheel wasn't reinvented with this album, but I did enjoy it's pace and the melody work even if sometimes it threatened to go off the rails. Sita Records Bandcamp Psyshop Beatspace
  4. Hello, all the mirrors to the kick drum collections that people created and shared on isra trance forums by Sattle Battle etc are gone from the internet since several years. Anyone care to share some folder with all the typical psy/goa kick drums? I used to have a really nice collection of nitzohonot and goa kick drums that were used heavily around here. Anyone have those? Cheers
  5. Artist: Shivax Title: Victory Anthems Label: Sita Records Date: September, 2014 1. Initiation 2. Unknown Source 3. Ganesha-Shanti (Feat. Agneton) 4. Victory Anthems 5. Acid Horns 6. Filterizations 7. A King's Tribute 8. Agneton - Het Was Zomer (Shivax Remix) 9. The Iron Throne Nitzhonot. This is how I feel when I hear it. Now I love riding coasters so you would think that would be a good thing, but sometimes I find it so exhausting. Oftentimes I feel it can sound like kiddie music and I don't mean to insult the artists who produce it. Music is very personal and nitzhonot is an acquired taste. Sometimes it gets a little too crazy and key changey as it rampages up and down the scales. Kinda like when the chipmunks do a cover song. But that's just me and my not so humble opinion. And that's where I was with his first album. His second album has shown a little more mastery in blending goa trance with his nitzho and thereby not making it so tiring. When he gets in a good goa groove he lets it sit there a bit, allowing the listener to fully absorb it before whisking them off on a nitzho tangent. When he goes full goa trance on tracks like Acid Horn he shines, proving himself more than capable. For those that like his niztho style he still cranks up the speed and gets to ludicrous speed on tracks like Filterizations and Victory Anthems. Remixing a pop song is generally a bad idea as they usually turn out to be terrible, but track 9 is his take on the Game of Thrones theme. It was meh. So I would say from a goa lover's perspective this is an improvement over his first album, but not enough to find broad appeal. If you don't like nitzo, give this one a pass. 6. Artist: Zopmanika Title: Mysteryland Label: Sita Records Date: April, 2016 1. Liquid Dreams 2. Ice Queen 3. Crystalinks 4. Annular Eclipse 5. Fantasy Land 6.Trip To Nowhere 7. As Far As The End of the Sky (Feat. Agneton) 8. Look Into Yourself 9. Lost Touch With Reality He can't believe he's gonna get another crack at those interns... I'm a pretty busy guy, so I don't get to review as many albums that I'd like. Remember when we'd get like...4 goa releases a year in the mid 2000's? Well those days are gone and it can be difficult to keep up with the amount of new talent that's bursting onto the scene. Sita is run by Elias Gits and if you're Facebook friends with him you know that he's really busy being handsome and playing parties all over the world. After a very quiet 2015 Sita Records released the debut album of Bojan Taneski and man it was like...crickets. Did you hear anything about it? I sure didn't. Now Sita is the label that attempts to combine Nitzhonot with goa trance into a sound we can all enjoy and for the most part they've been successful. Personally I'm not a fan of the nitzhonot genre...too crazy and goofy. But there have been albums where it when blended with goa trance it has been done well. This is a bit of a mixed bag. Ice Queen is a powerful track with racing melodies while the longest track here Crystalinks stumbles with its changes in tempo and those same hyper melodies. I believe Trip To Nowhere strikes the right balance and even that gets a little cheesy near the end. Oftentimes it gets a little too Fiddler on the Roof for me. There are pumping beats throughout, but there are also segments of tracks where it's empty thumping or saturated with fist pumping nitzho craziness. And all that craziness is getting me tired. Perhaps nitzhonot is a young man's music, so the kids in Israel and Greece will probably love this. Yes I realize the irony of saying the music appeals to the young while using a gif from an old movie. Smart guy. Bottom line this is heavily nitzho influenced so if that ain't your bag baby, best move on. Psyshop Beatspace
  7. Artist: Sky Technology Title: In Search of Ancient Knowledge Label: Sita Records Date: June, 2015 1. Proto-Knowledge 2. Babat Sink 3. Crazy Machines 4. Sands of the Desert 5. Who Are We? 6. Aural Planet 7. Broken Music Box 8. Magnetic Force 9. Göbekli Tepe 10. Babat Sink (Bonus Version) Damn son. This is hot fire! Sky Technology is Dmitriy Kolosovskiy from Kiev, Ukraine and his debut album is something to behold. His style can get quite chaotic and for me he has been very consistent with the quality of his tracks. This album is very layered and packs quite the punch combining juicy undertones with growling melodies. The leads explode and perform aerobatic maneuvers with a slight nod towards nitzhogoa. And what do you expect it was released on Sita Records. That said if you're a collector of cheese look elsewhere cause you won't find any of it here. Warm sounds yet it feels as if it came from the deepest recesses of space. The only complaint I have is that the 10 tracks are in a similar vein so listening in one go may be too much for some to handle. To which I say sac up and fly right. On the other hand this will put you into that state of trance with some excellent sound quality. Dmitriy...hi-five man. I bought the sh*t out of it. 8. Artist: Eyal Iceman Title: Blast From the East EP Label: Sita Records Date: April, 2014 1. Blast From The East 2. Eternal Tribulations 3. Return To The Classix The Iceman is back! Tommy...(inhales deeply and exhales slowly) I swear to God if you weren't my sister's kid I would've fired you a long time ago. Now...could you please get me the right f*cking image before I lose my patience? Get out! Get out! Get the f*ck out!!! *throws stapler* And tell your mother you call that a meatloaf? I could've thrown that hard sh*t on the fire place! So...very...hard to find good help these days. Eyal was a pillar of the Nitzhonot community from back in the day and he's back with a three track EP from the current czar of nitzho Sita Records. The opening track is a quality blend of goa and Nitzhonot with warm and swirling melodies. Like all the tracks it's over 10 minutes and travels at a million miles an hour. Eternal Tribulations has a sound that is more nitzh with super fast melodies rising and falling. lead sounds change frequently with a very Infected Mushroom style near the end. Hyper, energetic, fun stuff. Back To The Classix is the longest track at almost 15 minutes! That's almost a f*cking sitcom. He was obviously attempting to ease us into things before he came out in full beserker nitzhonot mode. Felt like I was at my cousin's Bat Mitzvah. The layers seemed to be kept at a minimum while the melodies raced around hairpin turns. It's all a little too old testament for me. But I think that anyone who makes this type of trance knows there is a degree of cheese inside and to take it with a wink and a nod. But it's fun stuff and made for good times. Beatport Psyshop Mdk
  9. Artist: JBC Arkadii Title: Sounds From Tomorrow Label: Sita Records Date: April, 2013 1. Trance Galactic Voyage 2. Cosmic Butterflies 3. Mantra Trance 4. Colours of the Night Sky 5. Flashing 6. Sounds From Tomorrow 7. Transparent Emotion 8. Teleportation 9. Spirits Dream "If you come to me at this moment...your minutes will be come hours. Your hours will become days. And your days will become a lifetime." I'm not sh*tting you this is the exact phrase found at the counter of every DMV location in the states. It's the one thing they do consistently well. We live in a great time goa heads. Not just because we have porn on demand or twelve different flavors of 5 hour energy. Nope times are great when we have so many fantastic goa releases that some really great ones fly under the radar. This is Arkadii Tronets from the wilds of Russia and he's put his stamp on the whole nitzhogoa sub-genre. I'm the first on to call out nitzhonot as campy and corny, but he does a good job of keeping the frenetic kookiness to a minimum. He delivers fast paced goa melodies that make you want to dance like nobody is watching. It's music that looks different going into a break than coming out of it. It has that Middle Eastern vibe with a lot of descriptive layers. There will be one melody and then another sneaking in from the left. Mantra Trance will blow the doors off your Honda Accord so it's not lacking in power. Some might not be able to get past the laser kick, but I urge you to try, because the rewards are worth it. The sound is very clear so kudos to whomever did the mastering. I think it strikes a good balance between goa and nitzho staying true to both sides. Recommended. One thing, the Sita Records website appears to be down. I think I was redirected to an Israeli site telling me it was time to get my license renewed. Psyshop Beatspace Mdk

  12. Artist: Shivax Title: State of Mind Label: Sita Records Date: July, 2013 1. Golden Xstasy 2. Space Dancing 3. Dimethyal Trip 4. Gayatri 5. Om Namah 6. Age Of Enlightenment 7. State Of Mind 8. Power Absorber (feat. Agneton) 9. Hava 10. Genesis "And if you don't believe drugs have done anything good for us do me a favor. Go home tonight and take all of your albums, all of your tapes, all of your CDs and burn them. Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that's enhanced your life throughout the years were real high on f*cking drugs." No sir, didn't like it. The music, not the sample. The sample is f*cking awesome. Like Jim Carrey nitzhonot is an acquired taste. I can't stand Jim Carrey no matter what role he plays. He is a buffoon pure and simple. Some people love his low brow brand of comedy, it's just not for me. And nitzhonot is the same thing. I love Agneton's music because he straddles the line between goa and nitzho keeping it pumping, dark, and cheese free. Not so here. You'll find plenty of stops and starts, frenetic riffs rising and falling, and enough of an ethnic feeling you'll be asking for a side of baba ganoush. To me nitzho is like goa's full-on where purists and old schoolers look to the heavens at the cheesy leads and melodies, but tolerate it because it brings the chicks to the party. Face it hippies, hot chicks don't wanna be bogged down with your heavy goa spiritualism. They wanna dance and shake what dey momma gave 'em. Nitzho is a less serious take and is more interested in a good time than pondering the universe. Take my review with a grain of salt because I'm not a fan of this subgenre. Hell I've had a forum member tell me to go back to my Wizzy Noise CD's when I commented unfavorably on some impossibly mundane darkpsy release. If you're into the nitzho then there's a great chance you'll love this. You can hear his technical skill and the sound production is superb. But you gotta blend my Jim Carrey with something else cause stand alone Jim Carrey ain't good for nobody. Sita Records Beatspace Psyshop Mdk
  13. Artist: Agneton Title: Wizards From The Future Label: Sita Records Date: May, 2012 1. Silver Shadow Lifeforms Chapter 2 2. Back To Hyperion 3. Zap Kannon 4. Wizards from the future 5. Mega Magnet Style 6. In the heart of a dying star 7. Gigantoraptor Resurrection 8. Master of the universe - AGNETON FEAT. JAVI 9. Reach out live forever "I occasionally think how quickly our differences would vanish worldwide if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world." Really? You really think that? Have you seen congress lately? Old f*ckers can't agree on a cup of coffee. Writing a review isn't an exact science. If it were, the boob enlargement software would've already been downloaded to my droid and I'd be wearing a bra on my head like the gentlemen above. You've come a long way Iron Man. A long way. Sometimes I can pen one after just one listen. But the vast majority require multiple days or weeks and a seemingly endless amount of listens. Point is I have come up with ideas for reviews in all sorts of places and times. On the crapper, at 4 in the morning, while I'm grocery shopping. Hell once, I came up with a great idea while doin' the nasty, but I figured I better get back to the task at hand. I've been writing this one for about a month. Which means I keep listening to it over and over again. Normally I'd buy a plane ticket to Belgium and punch Elias in the face (worked with Rihanna), but he's friends with Boris (Goalien) and he scares me. Thing is when I was playing this each time it never got old. There were always new layers to immerse myself in. Elias Gits is arguably the king of mixing Nitzhonot and goa trance turning what was a cheesy art form and making a Reese's Cup. You got your nitzho in my goa...and I like it. Horizon in Your Head came out 4 years ago and if you liked that one then you are going to love this. Silver Shadow Lifeforms Chapter II- "The evidence seems to be overwhelming to me. That we've had an intimate inter relationship with them for several thousand years." A remix to Silver Shadow Lifeforms from Horizon in Your Head? I'm in. Always felt that the original while good was lacking in a bottom end. Seems that issue was addressed as well as an overall thickening of the track with more layers. The main lead also felt more lush and full with some more aggressive tendencies. Kinda like juggling with a power saw. The nitzho kick is ever present and you will be hearing quite a bit of it on this journey. Back To Hyperion- Now that he's eased you into his vision, make sure your seat belts are fastened because he just accelerated to incredible speed. How fast? Faster than you can say child protective services. The melodies come fast and furious with blinding speed, but he doesn't forget the little touches that make goa tracks so organic. Outer space effects, machine gun kicks, and even a little break beat. Guy is such a giver. And not a crumb of cheese to be found. Zap Kannon- "That's the best you can do? No new style?" Why fix what isn't broken. If you're waiting for dude to take his foot off the accelerator it ain't gonna happen. Blistering pace with more space effects and spiritual melodies. This one is a face melter. "Breaking news! The government has found a new way to eliminate the deficit by taxing masturbation." Wizards From The Future- "I don't make the rules...I just live by them." Doof Doof Doof Doof Doof Doof Doof Doof d-d-d- doof! First rule of nitzhogoa, you don't talk about nitzhogoa. 2nd rule...you better have that kick with you. If you forgot however, no worries Elias has plenty to spare. He changes tempo with storming leads that are quite frenetic. The growl at the end with the 303 is a twirler's paradise. Mega-Magnet Style- "A long time ago...in a galaxy far far away." This is nitzhogoa on steroids. Indy 500 fast melodies and samples from numerous different sci-fi movies? Yes please. You can tell he's having a good time with this and he's getting all crazy with the layering. In the Heart of a Dying Star- "Some people lose their faith because heaven shows them too little. How many people lose their faith because heaven shows them too much." "Do you know how you got that dent, in your top lip? Way back, before you were born, I told you a secret, then I put my finger there and I said "Shhhhh!" Can I get a hell yeah for a Prophecy movie sample? Layers of the goodness cascade down and it seems as if it is never ending. You get these short breaks with clever percussive sounds and then it's right back into the fray. Awe. Some. Gigantoraptor Resurrection- "I'm so f*cking scared!" There are a sh*tload of effects to go along with the rampaging melodies. You have entered a cheese free zone with delicious shimmery synths. This one leans more towards the goa side at times but still maintains the nitzho flair. You'll hear what I mean when the slight buildup staggers up the staircase. Master of the Universe- "By the power of Grayskull!" I have never seen more homoerotic imagery and pedophilia than in that cartoon. Have to say my parents were asleep at the wheel for this one. F*cking show was a NAMBLA wet dream. Javi (Jonas Slosse) lends a hand and if you don't know who that is you should check out The Aural Exciter. Good stuff. Now is this their take on the classic UX track? Damn you Elias for making me do homework. I was kicked out of school for a reason you know. I don't know if it is, but is sure does sound old school. It's an absolute scorcher with power lead beatdowns and a tension filled break. The melodies seem to scream at the top of their lungs and it is unrelenting. Reach Out Live Forever- "I posess a stellar converter...the most powerful weapon in the universe." Well I have a butter knife and I am about to get medeival on this bagel. Elias tells you that your liberal nancypants go feel yourself downtempo track isn't needed here. Kinda. It starts out fast with spacey pads and a cat quick bass line. Melodies tumble from the sky in a frenzy and just when you think it's balls to the wall the break comes. And what a break it is as effects soar across space and colorful nebulas of melody drift by. It ain't long before he whips you around with some real hyper-speed stuff to close it out. I didn't have to go through this track by track to review it, but I'm here to educate and entertain. Taken at face value evry track has super speed melodies, outer space effects, and well placed samples. His style is to give you some (like a 2nd date) and then give you a break. But the break is a set up for a change in melody. It clings to a heavy science fiction vibe the whole way through. He truly is the master of nitzhogoa. I enjoyed the crap out of it and hey if you want to shoot an autographed copy my way I won't be mad at ya. So if you like your Nitzhogoa sans cheese (and I know you do) then this is for you. For those that are not into the genre with both feet, it can get a little samey as it's full throttle all they way. Might be too much for you to handle. Not me though. I eagerly await his third album. Psyshop Beatspace Saiko Sounds Mdk

Hailing from the faraway realms of Ussuriysk, Russia, situated on the crossroad between eastern and western influences, Arkadii Tronets gathered his inspiration to craft a unique style of Nitzhogoa, with a finely tuned ear for production quality. This ultimately resulted in "Sounds From Tomorrow", an anthology of his most melodic and memorable tracks he patiently wrote during the past years. So tune in, buckle up and prepare yourself for a flight into deep space, towards a new home of ever-expanding universes and never-fading stars.
