  1. Hi everybody Since I discovered Psychedelic Trance, there are approximately 1-2 years I have never ceased to observe what I had observed in the Hardcore scene, Industrial, Rock,...etc : there are so many styles and sub-styles that it becomes a mess to find a way and we sometimes end (or even often) to nonsensical debates about how we will appoint or not appoint, define or not define, this or that music or this or that style. So I decided there are now more than a year to create a doc in PDF form gathering all styles of Psychedelic Trance and their characteristics without making pies of texts to infinity and beyond. It will be a little more than a year (or almost, must take breaks anyway ) to skim all anglophone and francophone forums, searching the most representative artists of every style, and recovering some information and definitions stuffed with spelling mistakes on Wikipedia, clumsy repetitions, discount translations all straight out of the English version of Wikipedia passed under Google Translate, and other calamities, and to correct then to complement them. Obviously, if you find an ugly lack of agreement/spelling well hidden in the bushes, an incomplete definition, or one of your prefered style/artist thatsmasheseverythingbutreallyeverything that is not referenced, feel free to sh*t in my face please let me know, it will be corrected in the shortest possible time if need there. Last update of the PDF: 03.10.2019 at 11:56 p.m. (Paris time) Here is the link for the English version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x7po6dz18w4e0rm/Psytrance%20(EN).pdf?dl=0 Here is the link for the (original) French version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eoi1kr5tbnydhul/Psytrance.pdf?dl=0 /!\ The Dropbox online reader doesn't support external and internal links in pdf files anymore, so you must download it and open it with a pdf reader if you want the links to work /!\ Here is the original (French) post on the French forum "trancegoa.org" : https://www.trancegoa.org/forum/trance/40857_mise-a-jour-n50-la-trance-psychedelique-dans-son-integralite Thank you for your attention

  5. Artist: Jagoa Title: The First Steps Label: Self Release Date: November 28, 2019 1. Het Fractale Elfje 2. Simon Says 3. Lunar Fractals 4. Tot Aan De Maan En Terug 5. Heel Ver Weg 6. Roots 7. Astral Flower Power 8. Intergalactic Hippy 9. Geometrical Vibration If Cronomi Hadn't thrown this release up on Facebook I may have never known about it. It's like Jago Boermans didn't want us to know about it. Maybe it's his little secret. Maybe he isn't happy enough with the results to be promoting it like it's better than a Late Late talk show. I don't know why any one wouldn't be happy with this production, it fucking rocks but if that is the reason then that's great, because some new works are going to be even better by his standard! That is all conjecture of course. Maybe Jago is just super chill and thinks that the universe will just do it's thing. Maybe he just wants to sit back and bask in his relevance to the cosmos. Either way, i'm happy with this release, full of warm low ends that wrap you up like the warmest safety blankets, Ominous acid that sits around the background and barking leads that shoot at you from the depths. ~ Het Fractale Elfje, The Jagoa tracks I do know handle samples and long intro’s really well. This is instantly the most industrial and raw of them all so far though. Dark, Moody, Metallic and still spacious. A great album intro and great track that has growling, grimy melodies. Simon Says Jago just wants people to dance a little more and worry a little less. Simon Says that the world is a complicated place and you can complicate it more by attaching yourselves to small parts of it to grasp for some sort of meaning because the prospect of allowing yourself to live in freedom is so horribly terrifying. Clap your hands and dance to this terrific track, fuck Simon, do it anyway. Lunar Fractals Comes in hot with some deep moods of forbearance. The disco baselines comes in and sweeps the track into ever deeper regions. The track grows and grows into a proper trance track that takes you away once again. Tot Aan De Maan En Terug smooths it way above your head with ease. The melody never grows old and cruises in, out & around the place for the rest of the track. Heel Ver Weg like all previous tracks builds into a monster. This time I didn’t even notice until I was swept up into the final crescendos of the final acts melodies and then released into the soft outro. Roots is another moody synth heavy track that carries you off into a world of floaty melodies. The track just gets cooler and cooler as it goes on. Connecting each emotion that it has created together into an uplifting sense of fulfilled joy. Astral Flower Power is a fully sparkled uplifting bit of enjoyment. Each break brings something new, like melodies of light force, interweaved spanglements of psychedelia and a dose of vitamin D so big you can forget the sun. Intergalactic Hippy might be one of the best tracks here for its atmospheres and breakdown after breakdown that releases in sweet insanity. Goametrical Vibration is a more tribal feeling track that has shed its moody club atmosphere for a more galactic experience. A slow burn as we spin through the Asteroid Belt only to find ourselves in the chaotic nothing beyond. A uplifting and cruisy closing track that floats you away out from the album with a sense of calm satisfaction. ~ If there is a proper release album coming out in the future then this album should be all you need to get prepped for it. Jago has a real talent for building tracks higher and higher. Each track is like a little journey that grows in intensity as it meanders through our minds. I really enjoyed this sneaky little release and will be purchasing it and all future works. https://jagoa.bandcamp.com/track/het-fractale-elfje

  7. Hei trippers and trancers, this is a label announcement with news + updates on whats going on within KER. discogs: https://www.discogs.com/label/1393052-Kali-Earth-Records bandcamp: https://kaliearth.bandcamp.com/ Kali Earth was established as a new label on the 28th of December 2017. The first release was on the same night. The release is a single track by Material Music (a talented artist) given to the psytrance event organizer Love&Magic, in 2015. It was only now let loose, just the way it is. A proper Record label, i think we most agree on is a label that publish and release physical formats (CD, Vinyl) as well as the new digital formats like i.e FLAC and Wav. We've chosen a tad unconventional way of starting up the label in these new times. Therefor we use mainly Bandcamp but we will when things are more ready and steady move onto other distributor pages as well to be more accessible to the general wider public. Right now, we only offer a CDr/Files of our debut release (KER001) . And the single is a grower, so expect it to get more tracks added soon.... Our aim is in general great psytrance and chillout music, and we're not afraid of pushing the envelope or to creating a new style on the way. The label name Kali Earth Records is in direct inspiration to the legendary label, Shiva Space Technology (SST). In retrospect, you could say that the world is also too full of bad kali, and hence, Kali Earth Records. We come with much love, and true peace of mind. Boom shanti *

  13. Hello everyone, this post is to introduce our little new adventure, a sublabel that was born after many years working within the realms of unreleased music. We have received a lot of promos from artist from all the eras and have also actively searched and investigated a lot of projects that were otherwise forgotten. The idea came naturally as an extension to DAT Records and to create a digital sublabel was a necessity as there is a huge interest for the oldschool goa trance and psytrance music in all its forms. With this sub-label in fact, we are trying to promote not just the typical sound that we would promote within the main label but to open wide our horizons and include some styles and genres that we normally have not published. Will it be including modernly produced music? Not yet, as we do have a huge catalogue of releases almost ready to go and it is thanks to the work of the whole team of the Unreleased Goa blog that we have achieved this. But this is the adventure mostly of Vas Cosmogenesis, a precious collaborator who was through in his investigations and relentlessly contacted hundreds of artists in the years to prepare for this launch. I came up with the label name and we started moving early in this year. Now you can listen to the fruit of our hard work and we do hope to get some support and appreciation for all that has been done. We are very happy of the upcoming releases and you'll be surprised, I am sure! Enjoy http://www.datrecords.it/dat/unreleased-goa-records/ugr-announcement.html https://unreleasedgoarecords.bandcamp.com/
  14. Artist: Spindrift Title: Deep Nature Label: Stereohemia Rec Date: Sept 23, 2019 Tracklist:- 1. Induced Mysticism 2. Respire 3. Deep Nature 4. Witch Switch 5. Transfix 6. Trypto Night 7. Halographic 8. Charged Particles SpindDrift Deep Nature is a solid release that doesn't try to be anything it's not. Not particularly aggressive, not to fast, not to slow. It might be right in the Goldilocks zone for psytrance, and a bit to the left of paranoia. Excellent production makes every moment clear, while bright psy leads cut through the psychedelic darkness that almost wraps it's way over your ankles. Induced Mysticism - Not instantly my favourite track on the album but it has creeped its way into me sphere of enjoyment. Creaky leads come in and out while background layers destroy your concentration. Respire - A funky start and bassline that makes me feel like I really need to get something done in the next 7 minutes and 46 seconds or the world will explode. Psychedelic leads pump out from the depths again and again as they are covered over in mossed tree roots. Respire is Anthem-esque, funk psy that induces visions from the first kick. Deep Nature - Bassline introduction 'Nice to meet you' and away we go. Probably the most complex in terms of melodic structure that we have heard so far. The leads feel raw and dark but are sprinkled over by brighter faerie dust. Top notch production quality all the way through. Transfix - A true dancefloor groover that is probably the most happening and psychedelic track of the album. Raw leads get flicked towards you while the melody soars above. This is vision inducing dancefloor music that makes you want to throw your hands in the air and spin a little. Witch Switch - The only bassline on the album that feels to big and repetitive, if it was toned down a notch I feel the rest of the track would shine... Speaking of, the rest of the track is pure psychedelia, the kind of track you can zone out to while driving through the night, don't slow down or one of the voices might catch you. Trypto Night - A cruisy track that gets better the louder it goes. Dancing between the kind of paranoia that keeps you checking the distant forest edge for those damn talking woodland trolls and bright green entrancing leads that beg you to come closer. In deep distance you hear all the spooky creatures gasping for your attention, background shouts drowned out by brighter leads and kickdrums that feel warm and safe stop this track going anywhere to dark. Halographic - Another head banger that feels like it may be chill until the voices at 1:48 spin the track into psycho baba land. This is another favourite of mine as the leads change direction more regularly and background synths feel full and dark. Halographic encompasses the album artwork the best in my opinion. Charged particles - my favourite track on the album. If there was going to be one anthem on the album this would be it. Fast and sharp leads hold the track together while psychedelic spicks & specks dance around groovy melodies. Like every other track here the low end is deep and punchy. Spindrift, is not your typical psychedelic trance producer. When I see a cover that hints at forest I generally expect machine gun baselines, disjointed layers that have various degrees of the gator fx and a nothing tale. 'Wow Tsotsi, you gotta put an entire genre down to build an artist up?' Deep Nature is the opposite of all that. We get warm punchy kicks, well defined thick leads that cut above the other layers and sparkly conundrums of psychedelia. If psytrance can pass the stock Citroen car speaker mono test then it is doing something right. Deep Nature sounds pleasant and well produced. Most surprising of all, it feels best to listen to this album during the day time while cruising down some highway to Nowhereville. https://stereohemia.bandcamp.com/album/spindrift-deep-nature
