  1. Happy birthday!! And thanks to you (and Children) for this great site.
  2. Project/Tempo Track (Ctrl+T) ??? How hard it is to look even a bit to those menus? They aren't there for nothing.
  3. Clean deep bass: Filter type: Low Pass Waveform: Sine or Square (you could try to use two oscilators... set other one octave above or below) Take off high frequencies (the dirtyness) with the Filter (Low Pass in this case). No Resonance... or very little. The sound is smoother/warmer without Resonance... the more you add the more hollow/weird it will sound. To get more fatter bass put it through a Distortion plugin and get rid off the high frequencies with some Filter plugin (Low Pass again) or with EQing (from master mixer). Also check that the Filter ADSR Section is set the way you want. (ADSR= Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release)
  4. Now I tried to start Reaktors sequencer in Cubase and it was as simple as clicking the play button of Cubase. But I don't know how to start/stop it during the play. Cubase+Reaktor has never been the most stable combination... mayby you have some bugs. I tried this with version 4.0.3
  5. Hehe... ok I was just guessing. I'll try to check out how could it really work and tell you if I come up with something.
  6. Of course they don't need to be "continuously altered" but the pattern/rhythm itself can be something different than "Boom Tshi Boom Tshi". For example Hallucinogen is (was) constantly doing other than "Boom Tshi" and people seem to love his music. And he also does a lot of other weird stuff with percussion and I have never heard anybody complain that Hallucinogen is hard to dance... quite the opposite.. it's fun... go figure...
  7. Some very essential albums: Hallucinogen - Twisted Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger Juno Reactor - Bible Of Dreams Koxbox - Forever After Koxbox - Dragon Tales Orichalcum & The Deviant
  8. Side note: What Towelie said. I must say that it sounds quite retarded that there is always an open hat exactly in between kick drums and this is the case about 99% trance tracks. Why is that? There are limitless amount of possible grooves but still it always goes Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Boom Tshii Psytrance used to be more playfull back then...
  9. Doh.. but of course now that you say it it's obvious... how could I forgot that.
  10. Actually I have the original. I don't know what's Ofers last name so I thought it might be Ofer Ilschenbreuch since the cd sleeve says O. Ilschenbreuch ...lol... And thanks for the recommendations.
  11. Maybe the play button that starts the Reaktor sequencer can be controlled by control data in Cubase. Try to right-click on top of that button that triggers the Reaktor sequencer on/off and see if it's assigned to any control... then draw some controller data in Cubase.
  12. It's on this compilation called The Influence ...there are also other really good tunes on it.
  13. I'd like to hear similar tracks as Solaris - Can White.... ie. hypnotic, monotous and melodic. Any recommendations ??
  14. You should buy some midi-keyboard... they are quite cheap. Not sure if you can control any VSTis from your keyboard... but at least some years ago I tried it with Reaktor (not as VSTi) and it worked... but that way there is no velocity sensitivity... only in midi-keyboards.
  15. Hmm.. I wonder who is Hikikomori? Ott? That would be interesting... Ott doing oldschool trance... yummy.
  16. You can build your own synths in Reaktor... there are also some very simple (step)sequencers whitch you can use to trigger samples (WAVs & Aiffs) or Reaktors own synths... you can put them thru filters, dalays, flangers etc... but it really is not the program to use to make whole tracks. When you are just starting out I'd say Cubase+Reaktor is the hardest combination you have chose. Best programs with Reaktor are Cubase and Logic (you need Mac with Logic).
  17. Reaktor is mostly synthesizer... it's not ment to build a whole track in it. You can use it as VSTi in Cubase and similar sequencers. I'd say best program to start with is definitely Reason... it has everything you need and it's easy to learn... and it's very stable.
  18. From trance artists I can easily pic only one favourite (Hallucinogen) but when I have to choose from ambient/chill/etc I can't pic just one... so here are my favs from the above list: Shpongle Future Sound of London Steve Roach Banco de Gaia Ishq The Infinity Project Klaus Schulze
  19. Seraph let me help you to see how totally idiotic your statement is: - Teenager + computer + few years experience = quality music ??????????? - Somebody with 50 year experience of playing guitarr and singing = some crap ??????????? You know too much of Psychedelics can make anybody a bit delusional.
  20. Actually it has two filters which you can use at the same time. (and of course you can choose a filter type between low/band/hi pass etc)
  21. Anyone have or tried Alesis Andromeda A6? I've been drooling this synth for a long time... I have only heard samples but they sound extremely good. What do you think about this analog beast??
  22. No answer? I quess your are not interested to sell the Juno for me?
  23. Can't you sell it directly to me? Why thru Amazon? Does it involve a credit card.. cos if it does then I can't pay. Let me know.
  24. I'd like to buy Juno Reactor - Beyond The Infinite What's the price?
