I get that, try to create an 'evening' for bedtime' ritual!
Like me, I always watch an episode of friends before I go to bed,
get it conditioned so that you're brains get the alert, watching or reading this means = sleep!
that helps...
And try mindfulness , Moderating your thoughts is a must....
Lot's of success, it's pure training but it does not work after one time,
the more you repeat, the more it works, don't give up!
This is pure cognitive therapy and it helps, train your brain/thoughts and you shall be free
Keep repeating to yourself, 'don't get overexcited!, don't get overexcited!, don't get overexcited!, don't get overexcited!, ...
and try to create a positive thought that fades away the negative one...
Instead of saying , don't get overexcited!, sometimes switch to I'm calm and I want to sleep!
This little voice in your head never stops speaking, and decides a lot...
Stopping it, is impossible but directing it in a good direction is possible...
You are probably high sensitive just like I am. Go for it!
