  1. Yes, I created all kicks carefully with Sonic Academy Kick 2 plugin. Kick and bass are very important for trance IMO, so a lot of care is put in to them.
  2. Hi Thanks everyone for the reviews, opinions and your support. About influence: I enjoy some psyprog and psytrance for their clean modern mixes and productions, so I challenged myself (learned) to do a similar modern production, but also to stay true to "goa trance" as much as possible. I had to find a balance. That's why some tracks have psytrance and psyprog influence. I could say the motivation and inspiration came from learning new production standards by myself, for myself. As for the feel of the tracks, as RTP very nicely pointed out, some tracks have a "light" and others a "dark-er" tone/feel. I enjoy and make both styles, depending how I feel in the moment.

  5. Trance2MoveU, I was somewhat wondering why you did not review my album , but here it is, thanks for your nice words.
  6. Thank you too for your support, it was a nice read. I am happy that my music with the mood it creates, touches you and others. That is what's all about, to feel good while listening to it and maybe feel somewhere else like in a Better World.

  8. Thanks everyone for the reviews, opinions and critiques, much appreciated.
  9. I got your point and it's a good one. No rules is the key for successful evolution of this genre ... If you go to crazy beyond the boundaries of accepted goa trance sound it can happen easily that no one will release your music if you want to a proper release. It's a label thing too...but maybe I'm wrong. Not so long ago I had the pleasure to meet and talk to Dick Trevor, and he told me the same as you, that back then, they had no rules, everyone made what he wanted/had in mind, but with time, this genre defining boundary got shrunken to the point where almost everyone sound the same...in all genres not just goa. Time to go back to "no rules" ...
  10. Absolutely amazing album dude! more power to you :)

  11. IMO it's all about TASTE ! Thanks exotic for the kind words but I have to say, it wont be long until someone will fight you back saying, that my music lacks psychedelia and it's to trancy or to happy except 2 or 3 tracks, because their Taste is different. It's simple as that, you can't fight someone's taste. It's a never ending circle About "neogoa", (I don't like this term neither) I think that some old-school artists were more creative with the music and with their equipment, today it's easier to throw something together quickly but lacking soul, emotion and creativity, it will sound weak compared to the old masters. Than again for some it will sound OK, you know it's ... taste IMO it's harder to make something new too because almost everything was made before and you have to obey some rules to sound and be accepted as goa trance. Back then this music was new and unheard before, that's why it had such an impact on people. With my music I try to recreate (for myself) the feelings that I got from listening to music which impressed me the most, which is melodic goa trance. One more thing, the state of mind is a big factor too, for example, when I'm in bad mood I like to listen (and make) melodic, emotional (for me!) stuff like my music, when I'm in good mood I can listen to darker weirder trance without getting on my nerves. For others it may be the other way around or whatever...what I want to say is with time you will appreciate some music which you did not before...maybe
  12. Your Welcome Yes, the "Let your spirit carry you where your body cannot pass" sample is from the game Prey, but the female voice is from Half-Life 2
  13. Penzoline and others who would like to get Trip to The Sun in wav and better mastering, can download the track from here http://www.sendspace.com/file/0vl0gv
  14. Killer music!!! I love your tracks :)

  15. Awesome Goa-Trance ! "Moksha", "Convergent Images" and "Secrets Of The Atom", these 3 tracks just blew me away, especially their aggressive twisted synth and acid lines. WOW Cool synth patches, good arrangements, it would be nice to hear these tracks remade with modern production and good mastering. Keep it this way. :clapping: :drama: Pure inspirational material here!
  16. Vangelis - Tears in Rain "...all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..... Time to Die" those words and music... pure EMOTION
  17. Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre and some Synthesizer Greatest Hits CD when I was a kid. Btw my all time favorite track is Vangelis - Closing Titles From Mutiny On The Bounty: http://youtube.com/watch?v=NhM3bc8XuS0 MASTERPIECE !!! :drama: For goa/psy: Astral Projection and X-Dream
