  1. Hey buddy. It's Colin OOOD once again. Yeah I saw you made an order, I'll pack it tomorrow for you!
  2. For the past two years I've been sitting in front of my computer looking like this... ...here's the result: Sab Kuch Milegator - Tajunnan Rajamaa 1. Zebra Stripe Matrix 2. Mental Range Of A Windshield Wiper 3. When Mario Took All The Mushrooms... 4. Twistortion Twin 5. Goa Scorcher 6. Quest For Identity 7. Turban Of Turbulence self-released style: Melodic forest/Goa Let's cut the bullshit talk! Here's the link: https://sabkuchmilegator.bandcamp.com/album/tajunnan-rajamaa
  3. It's difficult to answer either way... X-Dream's body of trance is rather unique, the sound palette has some unconventional choices mixed with the more common tropes. As is mine when I think about it... but our moods differ quite a length. I'd say the style is closer to some of the progressively melodic Chi-A.D. bangers but only slightly so. "The sound" - yeah I know what you mean. It's probably the point beyond any musical education where a person's mindset and preferences come to play. Well, it's somewhat of course related to musical knowledge and the kinda studio one works with, obviously.
  4. Yes well guessed. It's going to show on BC as soon as the ready product is in my hands - self-released like before.
  5. Heard a rumour from unreliable source they're just printing the new Sab Kuch Milegator album...
  6. Oi mate! I, like many others, initially didn't check this one out. It's the harsh, continuous reality of getting information overflow in our brains - we filter out so much, and I was already so close on missing a diamond. I want to congratulate you for a really well done album! The fact alone that these tracks were done in 10 years span tells me you're a dedicated person. You're the best post-y2k artist to emulate that famous Pleiadians sound. Kinda curious you'd remix such an underground artist as Mantis but glad you did as that track turned out to be my favourite if one needs to be picked. There's a degree of maturity in your composition, you show restraint when needed and don't go 'over the top' just for the sake of it like some hotpot producers out there! You certainly have special flair and I'd really like to hear more one day. I bought the album on bandcamp to support you even just a little.
  7. Some of the compositional elements sound a bit off on the 145bpm version. I'll vote for the original.
  8. It was really fun... my pleasure.
  9. We recently had our annual Aikahattu party here in Finland, I spun some darker old school - kinda similarly to the last year. The mix contains tracks by Hux Flux, Logic Bomb, Noma and the likes.
  10. Thanks Mentaloscope. Keep an eye out for the next album it's right now being mastered.
  11. Only took about 400-500 hours (probably more) and 6 months but I think the last track is ready now. Time for mastering... I got a great cover art ready as well!
  12. Sure! 1) Hallucinogen sound of the 90s. Does that need further explanation? 2) Yahel-esque stuff he did in the beginning of his career around 2000. Clubby goa with borderline cheesy melodies, he carried such class in his melody work one is hard to reach that. 3) Tech-trance that came out around y2k. Tracks such as 'Atmos - The Only Process', 'X-Dream - Thorazin' or 'Etnica - Andromeda'. Oh boy, would it be nice to hear more bangers like that, it's just not the fashion anymore!
  13. Thanks for kind words mate, it's appreciated.
  14. Hey AP, I do music under the alias Sab Kuch Milegator.
  15. I'm missing colorful, story-telling 10+ min tracks... rest assured, they're rare to hear because they're difficult to make. There needs to be coherence within the change and it's actually difficult to achieve without some level of conceptual thinking. It's exactly these sort of threads on Psynews that initially sparked the flame to start composing. My personal vision can only be materialized by me. In fact, I'm gonna open my FL and try to come up with final melody to the last track of forthcoming 4th album.
  16. I immediately thought of this one... pure brilliance.
  17. One factor is, that many people have lost connection to themselves and people around them. All our great values, like love and honesty for example, have already long time ago been utilized and thoroughly raided by the capitalistic system. Nothing seems to be sacred. Life feels shallow and we seem to have incredible haste as a civilization to go forward. I do enjoy the very concept of progress yet the question remains, at what cost? One of the very goals of our lives should be happiness and most of us do seem to favor a bit more relaxed pace to achieve that. If the society at large needs a bandit then its certain to show on festivals/music culture too. Hippies wearing expensive clothes to look like beggars taking uppers and downers to listen music that's well produced but soulless as hell. I've seen it many times, been a part of it too so I'd know. It's no surprise many people left the scene. It can be difficult to witness and accept what people do to themselves on these festivals. And to talk about the topic more directly - yes I agree most modern Goa trance is quite shit indeed! It's a shame because, when looking things from a larger perspective, melodies can be a fun and vital part of psychedelic music. I always thought of Goa trance as the genre with most potential to it. And nothing really has changed my view. We can identify the problem (lol) but there's no one really to blame is there? I kinda saw this 'problem without a solution' situation years ago that's what motivated me to start composing music myself. But this situation might change in the future I want to remain optimistic (a little anyway). It will sound good again when the times change for the better.
  18. Lots of social factors come at play when you try to figure out how "the scene" came to its current standards. 90s was a period without internet, or at least the social media was non-existing. You'd just do your thing, with no need for constant attention seeking or self-promotion. You'd sit in whatever psyhole you had there, compose, play at a party and the feedback would occur the natural way, via real human contact. These days you need following, likes and what not - it's all virtual though. And hey! You can also buy the likes, psyscene is under capitalistic law like it or not. All that's been said is affecting us all. Social media is giving us access to infinite amount of information and what kinda happened is our minds are focused on trillion things at once trying to swim through the pool of data. The consumption mode is on when it comes to psytrance, too. So many artists, so much music! As a reflection of a sort, haste & desire for recognition have unfortunately become major driving forces for many musicians. The social media driven world shows no mercy, it's just the state of things for the time being. Patience, vision and focus. I reckon the amount of these qualities has dropped significantly and hence understand the frustration of many. Only thing that might, just might, ease the pain is the fact new Sab Kuch Milegator album is only one track away...
  19. Psytrance! Just think about the word for a while... there's a lot to this term that is yet to be heard. However, the mainstream artists are, in my humble opinion, not the ones who I look to see whether there's some progression happening or not. (Because it's a little bit about the money and that kinda kills the best vibe of any artist). In the end I think if it's about a human being expressing his/her soul.... we'll always get to hear something fresh and new every once in a while. I couldn't tell when and where however
  20. I've become a C:G:C: as in conservative goa co*k... I do listen to stuff outside goa/psytrance territory, yet with house etc. it also leans towards the golden 90s.
  21. My internal computer can't process this phenomenon. I'd say there are quite many people, if we'd like to talk about the big masses in this case, who simply only understand and enjoy the most primitive part of the track - kick + bass? All the psychedelic sweeps is just unnecessary garbage for them... Yet it's kinda understandable - K, B & PsyFX combo usually isn't that deep, musically interesting concept that it'd move the hearts of many, yet it serves as the perfect easy flowing fuel for one's drug filled dance rituals.
  22. That's indeed a horrible example of bad mastering. I think quite a few of these tracks would be great to play/hear in sets but, as things are, I'm going to pass.
