    Sonic Fusion - Confused

I have to agree with the reviews above me... This is really good stuff!!! The best tracks are the 2 tribal tracks for sure... Specially "Xxtatikk Ritual"!! Those singing Indians make you feel like you're dancing around a big fire somewhere on the big plains in America... From the normal Psy-Trance songs are number 5 And 6 the best... really véry hypnotic style and also fast and driving... The other songs are all good but nothing more... Maybe those other songs are a little Techno-ish! But overall véry good album... 8,5/10!! Bom Shankar
  2. It's about 6 months ago that I wrote this review and it changed alot now... This is now one of my favourite CD's! This is hard, dark and typical Scando-madness... )) Only a few songs are not dark (nr1,2&7)!! And I must say number 7 is way too cheesy!! My favourite tracks are 4,5,6,8&9!! Really hard, dark, driving, spooky psychedelic Trance!! Number 5 is one of the hardest songs I've ever heared and the second part of nr9 is also so great and insane... just buy this CD if you like the scando-madness... )) Bom Shankar

    V/A - Distance To Goa 8

Maybe the best of all Distance To Goa-comps!! The first 2 songs are NOT good, but from there on it all starts... Song 3 is really great and song 4 is even better "Hypnotising Mind Altering Drugs"... I love this sample AND this song... And after this it are all véry good songs... Space Tribe, Tripster, Cydonia... they all cick ass!! )) In this CD I also love the mixed CD... (I usually don't) Specially song 5 And 6!! (Song 6 is awesome... It's made by Dick Trevor and a friend... and it's the up to date Green Nuns-style!! ))) The only bad song in CD2 is number 9 from Koxbox!! But this is indead a masterpiece!! 8,5/10 Bom Shankar
  4. Another Cd full with classics, I think we ALL know those tracks and that's why this kind of compilations are NOT interesting anymore!! I like some tracks véry hard though... (Power Source, Doof, Transwave)!! Anyway, 3/10 for the compilation and about 6/10 for the tracks... Bom Shankar
  5. Lovefield - Earth Spirits Artist: Lovefield Title: Earth Spirits Label: Free Form Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 00'18" Norther Germany : Summer 1998 02. 08'14" Medicine Drum : Alpha Return 03. 06'56" Klangstrahler Project : Deep Thought 04. 07'50" Cosmix : Dreams 2 05. 05'08" TEVO : Green Fields 06. 06'32" Dr Scissors : Touch Screen 07. 09'15" Moksha : Earth Ascending 08. 08'48" Akasha Project : Cycedelic Space 09. 06'24" Cosmic Drums : Cosmic Ritual 10. 06'05" Mila Mar : H M Ba Review: Very nice and tribal CD!! Some songs are great Tribal music, others are less good... Song 5 for example sounds as new age with a bassline... (( But I ADORE all tribal tracks on this CD (2,9&10) Specially number 9 is great, a whole song full of tribal drums... From the more normal (but still with tribal influences) psytrance I like 2 songs very hard, the Moksha track (they always kick ass) and the Klangstrahler Project track, it has really a good rhytm, some nice and soft psychedelic sounds and some tribal chants and percussion in it... Really a pitty of tracks 4,5&8, cuz they're not good!! But if you like Tribal Trance, this CD should be yours NOW!! 8/10!! (without 4,5&8 it would have been a 9,5/10). Bom Shankar
  6. Infected Mushroom - Intelligate / Small Moves Artist: Infected Mushroom Title: Intelligate / Small Moves Label: Shiva Space Technology Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 07'20" Intelligate 02. 07'13" Small Moves Review: I think everyone knows that these songs were on the SST-compilation "The Digital Dance Of Shiva"... But before that they were released on this EP... And Infected made different stuff like usual here... Intelligate is one of their best songs they've ever made, hard bassline, and many wicked and distorted melodies and some cool samples... More like this please!! Site B is not as good... I like some parts of it, but overall it's not as strong as Intelligate or many of the "The Gathering"-songs!! So 9,5/10 for the first song, Intelligate, and only 7,5/10 for Small Moves!! Bom Shankar
  7. V/A - Another Taste Of Transient Artist: Various Title: Another Taste Of Transient Label: Transient Date: 1998 Track listing: CD 1 01. 08'43" Slide : The Search 02. 09'12" Astral Projection : Life On Mars 03. 07'44" Cosmosis : Inter-Galactic Fluoro Funkster 04. 07'48" Psychaos : Chaos To Order 05. 06'34" Lords Of Chaos : Lords Of Chaos - Chapter 1 06. 08'27" The Visitors : Tiny Little Engines 07. 08'07" Disco Volante : Contact 08. 08'44" Christof And DJ Maël : KLM CD 2 01. 07'22" Spies : Backwash 02. 09'49" Cosmosis : Moonshine 03. 07'54" Radiation : Socaine 04. 07'20" Laughing Buddha : Acid Rain 05. 09'29" Hypnosis : Joker 06. 07'28" Pathfinder : Spirit Cave Mummy 07. 09'31" Element Over Nature : Millennium Surface 08. 10'57" Chi-ad : Exit Eternity Review: Really good Compilation!! The first CD immediately starts with a great track from Slide and a well known AP track that is less happy and sunny like their other tracks... Cosmosis gives us some heavy 303 overdose in their typical style, but I really love that song!! nr 4 and 5 are good, but nothing more... After that we have 2 killers (6&8), The visitors' track is really chaotic but they create order in their chaos and the result is a great track! KLM is well known these days but in 1998 this was new and awesome, and I must say I still LOVE this track... CD2 has also some great tracks, nr1 is nothing special, number two is good (but beware, on the CD stands that song 2 is "Lumen" with "Toffe In My Teeth" but it's definetely Cosmosis!) Number 3 and 4 are warming up for number 5!! What a stormer...! And after that it doesn't stop... The Pathfinder track is also very good and the last two songs of this CD are the best ones...!! The track of Chi-ad. is so hypnotic and beautiful, I'll love this one for the rest of my live...!! All together 8/10! Bom Shankar
  8. Killing Joke - Wardance - The Remixes Artist: Killing Joke Title: Wardance - The Remixes Label: Dragonfly Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 06'49" Love Like Blood (Deedrah Rmx) 02. 08'59" Savage Freedom (UX Rmx) 03. 07'24" Democracy (Nine Inch Nails Rmx) 04. 07'27" Four Stations Of The Sun (Hallucinogen Rmx) 05. 06'16" Pandemonium (Man With No Name Rmx) 06. 06'48" Jana (Hallucinogen Rmx) 07. 10'19" Black Moon Rising (California Sunshine Rmx) 08. 07'04" Intellect (JohannRmx) 09. 07'30" White Out (JohannRmx) Review: The most of us know that Killing Joke is an rather old Electro group!! But as a tribute to them some famous Psychedelic Trance-producers remixed their songs... That gave some nice songs but also some fucking bad songs that sound like hard-rock!! Specially that Nine Inch Nails-remix!! What is that doing here??? it sounds like Metal!! The best track is the UX-remix, it's really dark... )) Also nice are Jana and Intellect... But the others songs are not my style... Sounds too rock-ish!! So everyone who hates guitars, DON'T buy it, but if you are an old rocker who just became Goa-lover... You should buy this!! 6/10! Bom Shankar
  9. Children Of The Doc - Impossible Vortex (Rmx) / Creatures From Outerspace Artist: Children Of The Doc Title: Impossible Vortex (Rmx) / Creatures From Outerspace Label: 3D Vision Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 10'39" Impossible Vortex (Rmx) 02. 09'06" Creatures From Outerspace Review: To be real honest I was a little bit disapointed by this EP, It's still very good, but they've already done better stuff... I think I simply was expecting too much... The original version of the first song is already well known I guess, and the remix is not as good as the original, but the end is different and very good... The second song is made with DJ Lestat (Talamasca) if I'm not wrong and it has some killer parts in it, but also some less good parts, but the end is like usual with COFD-songs awesome!! )) By the way, the second song is also on the new Hovek Olam ...I think both songs deserve 8/10! Bom Shankar
  10. Power Source - Goaway Artist: Power Source Title: Goaway Label: Matsuri Date: 1996 Track listing: 01. 09'01" Goaway 02. 10'19" Gargamel Review: I simply review this EP because it's such an incredible classic... Goaway was probably one of the first Goa-songs I've ever heared and I still have the same great feeling when I listen to those songs... Goaway is one of the most touching songs EVER!! That melody makes you cry and laugh at the same time, and it still works after all those years... Gargamel is something different, more dancefloor-orientated! So a hard bassline with some more dark melodies, but the song has a wonderful building-up with some percussion work too and at the end a great climax... ))) First song 10/10, second song 9/10...!! Bom Shankar
  11. Entertopia - Magic For Eternity Artist: Entertopia Title: Magic For Eternity Label: Krembo Date: 1997 Track listing: 01. 01'16" Intro 02. 07'11" Broken Sky 03. 07'43" The Shout Of A Headman 04. 07'57" Marakesh 2000 05. 06'21" Novelle 06. 07'03" Van Spooker 07. 06'35" Manga 08. 07'07" Volvoker 09. 08'33" Wacky 10. 05'32" Martef Review: Very bad release from Krembo Records!!! It really sounds shitty... Bad beat, very cheesy and bad samples and no good melodies at all... Can't say more about it!! 1,5/10!! Bom Shankar
  12. Véry good album!!! There are 2 real dance-songs on it and the others songs are more downtempo Tribal Trance... )) The best song in my opinion is nr. 5!! Real fast rythm with many and fast 303 sounds..., but originally used... Other awesome songs are nr 1 (rather Ambient), nr 6 (the second Dance-song with a straaangge sample...) and nr. 9 (downtempo with a cool German text at the end of the song...)!! So if you like Tribal sounds this CD is a MUST!!! Bom Shankar
  13. I'm even listening to this EP at this moment and Mars is 100% RIGHT!!! It's a MASTERPIECE!!!!!! Both songs are rather slow (Hell's Kitchen 128 BPM and Trip Tonight 139 BPM) but still it fucking ROCKS!! Those melodies make you fly FAR away... ))) Shit, you better read the review of Mars, he said it completely right!!! ))) 10/10!!! Bom Shankar
  14. Anoebis

    Elysium - Voodoo Witch

I have the same opnion as Vystril!! The first 4 songs are good but nothing more, but the last song is absolutely great!!! It starts very chilly but after a while there are some soft drums but the tribal drums always become faster and harder and around the 25th minut it is really wonderful!! You can really see the ancient indians dancing around a big fire with painted faces... The last song made simply this album for me!!! 8/10!!! Bom Shankar
  15. Anoebis

    V/A - Score

Dieznyik is completely right... I can't believe nobody mentioned Off Limits, cuz that track is the best on this CD in my opinion!!! )) On place number 2 are two tracks... The combination between Oforia and Tim Schuldt (Non Zero) and MOS. with Toxic Offender... Less minimalstic and more uplifiting than the stuff he's making nowadays!! Other nice songs are 2 And 4!! still 1 remark at song 8 (BETH.) this is no Psytrance but 100% Electro!! But overall nice and hard CD!! Bom Shankar
  16. Shaolin Wooden Men - Shaolin Wooden Men Artist: Shaolin Wooden Men Title: Shaolin Wooden Men Label: Nova Zembla Date: 1994 Track listing: 01. Nigeb 02. Technique I Follow 03. Ohar 04. Nyah 05. NK/HT 06. Go People 07. SWN Review: Today this CD sounds BAD, but... This CD is maybe the first real psychedelic CD!! So this is where it all started, and that pretty interesting to know, and when you listen to it, you'll recognise some things, but it's all still very chaotic, sometimes boring or too much Nintendo-music!! (( Maybe interesting to know is that the CD is originally from Psy-Harmonics... There are two listenable songs (5 And 7) the rest is NOT good at all!! 2/10 Bom Shankar
  17. Yep, I have this CD since yesterday and I have to agree, it's very nice!! It's the typical D5-style!! ))) The only bad point is that all the songs sound almost the same... I won't say it's bad cuz I like his style, but still... It's maybe not véry good to listen to this CD at once!! Anyway, the véry best songs are 1,3,6,9 Especially 6 is a killer but like I said, good Cd overall!! I'll give it 9/10!! (héhé from now on I'll give ratings too!!)
  18. Normally I don't like Minimalistic Trance, but this CD is something different... It has such great rhytms that even I like it!! )) If melodic Trance-lovers wanne taste some Good Progressive Goa, then buy this one for sure!!! Best tracks are 2,3,4(!!!),6,8 Bom Shankar
  19. Maybe the best Tribal Goa-music ever made!! This is not for on hard parties, this is for listening while you're relaxed... Then the CD will take you on a journey... It'll take you to the Jungle of Borneo, it will take you to waterfalls and desserts far away from this world!! Magical piece of work!! Unfortunately Medicine Drum couldn't make such great music anymore after this one was released!! So when you see this, BUY BUY BUY!!! Bom Shankar
  20. Anoebis

    Earth - Liquid

It's much too Techno-ish!!! Yakkie!! If you like Hard Psychedelic Techno you'll like this, otherwise, don't spend your money here!! Bom Shankar
  21. Anoebis

    Luminus - Hypnotica

Véry good CD from Luminus!! Much more mature and less cheesy then his first album!! There are 2 complete stormers on this album, number 4 (total conciousness) is really gigantic and nr 5 is another killer!! Other good songs are 2,6,7,8&9!! But Alex1029 has right, that sample in nr 9 Must go out!! I really can't wait to hear more stuff of Amir Dvir...!!! Bom Shankar
  22. Anoebis

    Holy Men - C4

This music should be played when we see "Teletubbies" or "Pokemon" on television!! ))) Really shitty production and absolutely NOT goa!!! Crappy Nitzhonot!! Bom Shankar
  23. Anoebis

    V/A - Change

Good compilation IF you like Progressive Minimalistic Trance!! if you don't like it (like I do) DON'T buy it!! I liked only 2 tracks here nr6 (specially the first minut is HELLISH) en nr 9, it's the only one with real melodies!!!Bom Shankar
  24. Anoebis

    V/A - Full On 3

KILLER compilation!!! Every track is great (in my opinion) except the last one! Track 6 is even better then Great, it's one of the most hypnotising and uplifting tracks ever heared!! Really a must have!! By the way, the power source track is also good, specially the last part! And this is a message to Children of the Doc... MAKE AN ALBUM!! Cuz every track of you guys are KILLERS!! ))) BUY It!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. I also think this is a rather bad CD, it sounds almost CLUBBY!! Not many psychedelic sounds, always the same boring bassline and no very good melodies!!! One exception... Go Wacko, that track is even good!! For people who like Psytrance with club-influences this CD will be good, NOT for me though!! Bom Shankar
