  1. Well... Because Paprika is always véry busy in school, and he has NO internet at his students-home... And big ps: from now on I play as Anoebis on parties exept on the PLUR parties, there I will still play with Dave (Paprika)!! Bom Shankar! Anoebis
  2. I agree with Dieznyk here!! I don't like many minimal trance because there's not enough POWER in it... that's why stuff like Tim Schuldt, Cydonia, 4CN and so many others are so popular those days... it's new-style but with alot of power!!! I don't think all the psy-trance has to be melodic, but keep it Psy and powerful! Bom Shankar Anoebis
  3. Simply 1 word: FANTASTIC!! This is simply thé best cd I have!! I'm listening to it every day for about 2 months and it's still growing on me, when I listen to this while I'm waking up I always realise that this CD can make you happy for the rest of the day! ;-) Best songs: 1,2,5,7,8,9 10/10!!! Bom Shankar
  4. Somaton - Brainwashed Artist: Somaton Title: Brainwashed Label: Celtic Date: 1997 Track listing: 01. 06'59" Brainwashed (Shakta And Ping Pong Rmx) 02. 06'02" Orouboros Review: I usually don't review EP's but i found this one at a second hand store and I like it! So that's why... Both songs are made by Seb taylor (Shakta) and the songs are in typical British-old-school style with lots of acid-sounds and very fast rhytms... I think number 1 is better then song 2 because of the great twisted melodies in the first one... )) Buy it if you like full on, insane Goa-Trance...! first song 9/10, second 7,5/10! Bom Shankar
  5. Moonlight, don't try to play Infected, Hallucinogen, Astral, Darksoho too much on Belgian underground-parties, because many people will think you are a "best of" DJ who only play hits!! And 80% of the people HATE that, they want to be surprised with new, powerful music!!! And néver play with a playlist, if you do that your set will be no good simply because you don't feel what the public wants!! You should see what kinda music the people want and then you should play the right song... In the beggining that's not easy, but the more you DJ, the easier it becomes!! (it took me about 6 months, but now it's going véry well...;-))) See you all at PLUR 2!! Bom Shankar Anoebis Ps: op welk feestje gaat ge juist draaien??
  6. No, but Solid Electronics is a Remix of Ionised!! So maybe you've mixed up both songs!? Bom Shankar! Anoebis
  7. Skazi - Animal Bom Shankar Anoebis
  8. Anoebis

    Cyan - Transmission

I agree that this album is better then his last albums, but still there are terribly cheesy songs between them ( number 6 & 7) But number 1,2 & 4 are non-cheesy good old melodic Psy-trance!! So this gets 5/10!! (pretty surprising a nitzhonot-producer became better after a while...) Bom Shankar!
  9. Xenomorph - Cassandra's Nightmare is a really scary piece of Ambient Also the Cydonia & Tim Schuldt remixes of the Front Line Assembly tracks are really scary... (Colombian Necktie & Evil Playground) Bom Shankar Anoebis

The name is Die Sonne - The Rip And it's indeed on double dipped of Boom! records, but also on a recent CD, I don't know the name though... Bom Shankar Anoebis
  11. Hey Inivisible man!! the track from Bypass Unit that still was unknown is called "Green Dreams" Bom Shankar Anoebis
  12. Dark Nebula - 100% Pure Brainwater Artist: Dark Nebula Title: 100% Pure Brainwater Label: Nephilim Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'50" Not Human 02. 08'20" Brain Water 03. 07'19" Wonder Hippie 04. 06'30" Black Beauty 05. 07'50" Sonic Disturbance 06. 08'01" Wisdom Code 07. 07'39" Dominant Lifeform 08. 06'51" Internal Delirium 09. 01'53" Rupert The Fish 10. 08'10" Knumbers Of Colours Review: This is one of the most surprising CD's I got last year! The whole album is on the dark side and not melodic, altough you can't call it minimal either... All the songs (exept 9&10) are spiced with heavy, fast and hypnotic basslines... the ones you want to hear during the night, the ones that keep you going forever! Reviewing every song is not very relevant because most of the song are in the same style... But there are a few standouts, specially number 4 is a complete stormer!! It has a real cool sample with after the sample an insane climax of noise...! Also number 6,7&8 are far above average! Number 9 is a joke, I think it's made with E-Jay when the maker was 13... héhé, and the last one is an ambient song, without any beats, so it's more an atmospheric piece! All together this is a must have for all Hux Flux-style lovers!! I've been told his last songs are even better, so wtach out for him! I give this CD 7,5/10 (because this sound is not really my cup of tea) Bom Shankar!

LSDance from psysex!! Bom Shankar Anoebis
  14. I recognised some of the new tracks: First track is: Mystica - Jamaraqui Second track is Bypass Unit - Song from green Dreams (don't remember which one... Wait, I'll search it after this message!! )) Number 6 is Bypass Unit - Helium Bom Shankar Anoebis
  15. It's a track from Front 242 called Headhunter 2000 remixed by Apoptygma Berzerk! They played it alot too here in belgium a few years ago... A real classic, only it is very hard to get, it's on a cd with 4 remixes from Headhunter 2000... )) Bom Shankar Anoebis ps: this is not really psychedelic trance, more electro-like, but so what!?
  16. Die Sonne - The Rip is thé best minimal track ever (together with Shiva Chandra - Creator RMX)!! But it's already 4 years old!!
  17. The track is really old, it is released in 2001, but MANY Parasense/Aerodance tracks are many years old... So probably the DJ played it as an unreleased track... Bom Shankar! Anoebis
  18. Well... Phaeton is right, you don't really NEED them, but I think it is easier with... I have the Pioneer-turntable with the 2 BPM-counters... of course you can't use them to pitch the songs exactly, but with the BPM-counter you can be sure you don't need to change the pitch more then -0.7 or + 0.7 Bom Shankar Anoebis Ps: Phaeton, blij te merken dat je nog leeft want ik zie je niet meer op ICQ ;o)
  19. I have it on an old CD called Travelling 2... I hope you still find it cuz they stopped making Travelling already 2-3 years ago...! Bom Shankar Ps: I don't like the song too much, but tastes are different you know...
  20. It's the track on Israeli Flip on Henfield, with the sample "is there anybody out there"! I don't know the name enymore, but it's that track for sure!! Bom Shankar Anoebis
  21. V/A - Astral Trance 2 Artist: Various Title: Astral Trance 2 Label: Eros Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 08'30" Talamasca : Talafrica 02. 08'23" Luminus : Silicosis (Rmx) 03. 07'08" Hyperion : Micky Mouse 04. 08'14" Shiva Sidpao : Ego Killer (Rmx) 05. 09'09" Solaris : Out There 06. 06'02" Holymen : Halloween 07. 07'51" Syndrome : Party Fever 08. 07'20" Johann : Stranded 09. 07'56" California Sunshine : Last Feeling Review: véry strange compilation, some real killers and some terrible Cheese-songs! First song from talamasca is well known I think and it's good old-style melodic trance! Second song is one of the best ever by Luminus, very fast, hard bassline and a great guitar-riff in the beggining of the song... after that it becomes very melodic but never really cheesy imo! The next song is more Nitzhonot (happy wave your hand in the air trance)! hard to believe it's the same group that made "Sunflower"!! Then we have 2 killers... First a very dark song by Shiva Sidpao with killer bassline and a fantastic acid end... In the middle of the song you also have a very long gothic break... héhé, I really like the track! It get followed by Solaris (aka Oforia) with a real floor-filler, way ahead of it's time with dark disorted melodies! number 6 is Holymen!? What he is doing after Solaris is unbelievable... the song is cheesy,; but not yet a cheese-fest as we know him now! Number 7 is even worse,! complete cheese! Awfull!! Then the compilation changes direction again!? Johann gives us the orginal Stranded here which already has some disortd guitars but it still is rather melodic and fast! The last song is one of the best California Sunshine songs, really trancy and hypnotic! Well, this compilation can be bought if you prefer 4 killers and 5 bad songs above 9 "only" good songs like most compilations! I give this 6,5/10 (because of the cheese-songs) Bom Shankar
  22. Spirit Of Dawn - Spirit Of Dawn Artist: Spirit Of Dawn Title: Spirit Of Dawn Label: Nephilim Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'25" Follow The Signs 02. 09'35" Friendly Fires 03. 09'34" Midnighthour In The Sun 04. 08'36" Virtual Acoustic 05. 07'22" Trixis Multicolours Dawn 06. 08'50" Explosion Of Light 07. 08'06" Wake Up! 08. 09'12" The Final Rebirth Review: Spirit of Dawn is the other name of V-Ger, which will sound more recognisable for most of you I think! Well, I expected alot from this CD cuz all his tracks around are véry good, but that was a big mistake, the Cd is really bad! It's clearly morning-trance style, but not the way I like it! In almost every song the melodies are too simple and the sounds are simply too mellow to dance and also you sometimes have bad rhytms with irritating high-hats!! I will only review two songs which are exeptions; number 2 which sound more like Tribal trance because there's lots of percussion in it and Indian-singing samples and number 3 whih start véry good, with a heavy guitar-riff but after that it becomes too boring with simple melodies... (( So it only gets a 4/10 by me... Bom Shankar
  23. V/A - Technobotanic Tryptamines 2 Artist: Various Title: Technobotanic Tryptamines 2 Label: Nephilim Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'29" Silent Earth : Behind The Face 02. 10'15" Jess M : Slave To Science 03. 07'46" Har-Ell And Dardasman : Virus 2000 04. 07'42" Dopamin : ESP 05. 10'43" Brain Deflections : Horizontal-Y 06. 10'54" Distortion Orchestra : Universal Oscillator 07. 06'18" XIS : Magic Fly 08. 08'10" Salamantra : B-Logic 09. 06'35" Rules Of Hypothalamus : Roh Review: A nice various compilation, altough you can hear in almost every track why it is released on a German label! )) The first track is very slow and made for the morning with long, trancy breaks!! The second track is the weakest of the compilation, véry boring track that reminds me alot of Trommelmachine by Der Dritte Raum, so many drums with on top of that a techno-sounding melody. The 3d track is a very powerfull & psychedelic tune that would work fine during the night on not minimalistic parties! Number 4 is more minimalistic again. Altough it is fast and has some cool psychedelic effects in it I don't like it because of the break in the middle which sounds very D'n B!! Then we have the very long Brain Deflections track which I like because it's the perfect mix between melodic & progressive trance! Tip by this one: Listen to it on a good soundsystem, it sounds much better than!! The next track has a long and trancy intro but when the bass comes in it you'll hear it is a hypnotic track that builds & builds till the end!! The Xis track is very good. Very psychedelic with a groovy rhytm. The next song is by a Russian group and is more morning-like, with some dreamy melodies and a complex rhytm-section... So hard to dance on it! The last song is very bad, simply to noisy. My personal favourits are: 3,5,6,7 and it get's a 6,5/10. Bom Shankar
  24. V/A - Spiritual Moves 3 Artist: Various Title: Spiritual Moves 3 Label: Agitato Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'41" Opus Magnum : Three Elements (Mental Rmx) 02. 06'16" Gorlation Corporation : You Are It 03. 07'07" Skazi : Expose 04. 08'57" BLT : Space Boogie 05. 06'53" Dillerium : Horrow 06. 06'31" Kamasutrance And Skylord : Veni Vidi Vici 07. 06'58" Maskalin : Loud And Proud 08. 06'20" Galaxy Angel : Indian Tribe Review: I liked the first 2 Spiritual Moves which were labelled by MDMA, the label by this one is Agitato and the distribution is by MDMA now, strange, but hey, the music is still good so who cares! )) The First song is on the minimalistic side with only (but many) acid effects on it. the second is véry good and uplifiting by one of those new upcoming groups... It is some kinda old-style with twisted melodies and 303's! Skazi's track is darker of course and not very original, but still good, smashing basslines with a completely disorted guitar used at the end! I don't like the BLT-track, it sounds to simple and repetitive. The next song is also not too good, just once again more of the same... But after that kamasutrance starts the best part of the CD! It's a real pleasant and uplifiting morning-track with powerfull bas and funny sample, I like this one!! The Maskalin track is also more morning stuff, but more rhytm orientated as the last song. To end this CD there's anothe! r morning trance-track with flutes and Banjo, with on top some 303's! If you are a Israeli-trance lover or you just want a more easy-listening-CD you should buy this CD! it get's a 7/10 from me! Bom Shankar
  25. Brain Deflections - Horizontal-Y Artist: Brain Deflections Title: Horizontal-Y Label: Nephilim Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'20" Time Split 02. 08'16" Extremely Out 03. 10'21" Future Flash 04. 10'40" Horizontal-Y 05. 08'54" Infinite Night Sky 06. 07'42" Space Whirl 07. 07'31" How far Can We Go ? 08. 09'41" Thought Vibration Review: Brain Deflections is a new Greek group that make new-style somehow melodic Trance (NO cheese) and all their songs are really fast (>145). The first track starts slowly bur after 3 minutes you get a complete crazy acid-line that comes back a few time in the song. But there's one sound in that song that comes back every second and irritates me to hell! The second track is more dark and has a great building-up, but in the second part you have once again such an irritating sound every second... Luckely the following songs don't have that! Number 3 has a powerfull bassline and is clearly made to make dancefloors crazy, cuz in the breaks there is a very fast/furious sound that works great when you listen loud enough to it! )) Track 4 is one of the best here, twisted melodies with a dark background... Really the perfect mix between minimal & melodic! Number 5 is the best song on the CD, deep bassline and again very fast and twisted melodies that work great for me! Number 6 ! is very acid which is good, but the bassline is too light, almost unhearable, so the song looses his power! Number 7 is more extreme, very fast with many weird sounds and weird (acid) melodies... The last song is the same style as number 7 but a little slower! I must say I like this CD (exept the First 2 songs) and it is very dancefloor-friendly so this gets an 7,5/10...! Bom Shankar
