  1. IMO Tripswitch - Exile (Mantra Mix) Shulman - 1st Came the Stars (Bluetech Remix) Although I love the originals too, the remixes have something more
  2. Dark Soho - Aggressive Yes it is.
  3. I've not heard everything from every genre but I'd say in the last few years : - Full on: Save The Robot - Battle of the Mind (Track - Robot on Drugs) Progresive: S>Range - Another Theory (Remixes) (Track - Another Theory (Big Deal Remix)) Housier: Mo-Shic - Salamat (Track - The Good Old Days) Techy: Kino Ono - Lost entertainment (Track - Atomic Corner) Dark: Deviant Species - In the Hands of the Randomiser (Track - Portal To Balojax) Goa: Technossomy - Synthetic Flesh (Track - Kozmotron 1&2) Now I know this is not recent or easy to buy but it is going to be rereleased soon on alpha-beat so I hear Dub: Tripswitch - Circuit Breaker (Track - Shamanic Tea & Deer Park) Ambient: Mixmaster Morris & Pete Namlook - Dreamfish (Track - Hymn) Rereleased on Avatar Ethnic: Puff Dragon - Sazanami (Track Qi Gong)
  4. Banco De Gaia - Last Train to Lhasa (Album & right now the Track too)
  5. Dub Trees - Nature Never Did Betray The Heart That Loved Her
  6. What is it a picture of? It looks fleshy...
  7. Purple Om - Armageddom Dub Top Draw
  8. Yep. It scares me somewhat
  9. The Rasmus - Tonto's Release
  10. Some very nice ones there, especially the bottom right. I don't like the middle right one though, looks.... wrong.
  11. I am SO looking forward to this one. All Liquid Sound Design releases have been good. Most have been bloody excellent. Easily my favourite label. Hope they get their Illuminations comp out too.
  12. Zen Lemonade - Die Ashanti
  13. I really like the cover on Entheogenic's Spontaneous Illumination In a different vein but still IMO amazing covers are the LSD one's for example
  14. The Orb - Apple Tree in my Backyard
  15. Sounds From The Ground - Where the Wild Things Were
  16. Other albums I would recommend you are Recently Puff Dragon - Sazanami Androcell - Efflorescence and from further back OTT - Blumenkraft I didn't get into this one straight away but when I came back to it a year later, it absolutely blew me away. Butterfly Dawn on Liquid Sound design also. I've played this A lot in the last 3 years. These are top of the pile albums for me.
  17. I'm listening to everything on Liquid Sound Design now Tripswitch - Shamanic Tea brilliant
  18. I agree. This album is a great concept album. I've listened to it a few times now, on my okay stereo and also on my kick ass headphones. I really got a lot more out of it on the headphones, I got lost in the layers and came out feeling very dark indeed. Definately recommended but as it says above you might have to invest some time in actually listening to it!!
  19. and Family of Light and Planet Ben - Future Trippy Garden (just 6) and Deviant Species - Hatch and Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? and Banco de Gaia - Last Train to Lhasa (10 tracks on 2 CDs) and Liquid Dub vol 7 and and and..... a lot of my favourites have fewer tracks. Perfect for me is 8 tracks or less. When and album has 12 or more you know a lot of them will be too short. If you can't make a track last 8 minutes or more then it's often because it's not good enough. IMO
  20. Has Western Rebel Alliance been released yet in Europe? Two months ago it was released here. I don't know if they're going to have more tracks on the non-japanese version but if it doesn't then they are just pissing about dealing with crap distributors not waiting for the album to be perfect before they release it. Maybe we'll get the OTT album here this Summer and it'll be released in Europe in 2010
  21. A lot of my favourite albums have few tracks on them. Mystery of the yeti 1 & 2 only had 4. Both of them were great. Both Crystal skulls had only 7 tracks, also great. I Think I prefer TIP (and in general) when they have less (but hopefully longer) tracks.
