1. I paid 6 euro, but I bought it before there was this craze about it. As soon as I heard about its existence I started searching and found several copies online (3 or 4 I think). So I bought the cheapest one.

I would guess at least 500 were made, but that it had weird distribution and never got any serious attention from the trance scene, which would explain why not a single place I saw it was a techno or trance store. I bought it from a generic second hand store. It's a pretty crappy album IMHO, so it flew under the radar for a very very long time. During this time the existing copies probably ended up in all sorts of basement second hand stores and bargain bins.

You know, Ukiro, funny you mention that. I have found very *MANY* Edel releases at, what we have here in the United States, "Dollar Stores." Yes! I haven't come across the SFX album but who knows, maybe like a lot of Edel releases I've seen, maybe there's a thousand copies sitting in plastic bins waiting to be sold here in Minnesota. I'd no doubt buy them all and sit on here and toss them off to everyone who wants a copy *laugh* for unreasonably large sums of cash hEEhEE! Anyways, I doubt I'll ever run across this release at the dollar store, though, like you said, they're at the second hand store/bargain bins :) so maybe they're sitting here in quantity waiting to be sold at a dollar store, hehehe. Or already has and people hated it so the old 80 year old grandma decided to toss it out in the garbage

  2. No sh!ti  There was an auction which ended Monday.  It sold for 70 pounds.

    It is just beautiful...

Sounds like you're a good Dad Aaron :)  Props!

Oh yeah? I lost my Alcyone to Ukiro I think less than 9 months ago?! I don't remember!? Ukiro can remind me :-( Haha. It was when he first scored it and posted it to discogs, it could had been even over a year ago, fawk! I was jealous. Actually, I was pissed!

    *hugs ukiro* :) OH WELL!

  3. 414469

Everyone wants alcyone :) just to frame and stare at. Heh! I'm a pleiadies whore actually. I have a professional art print by Kim Poor actually:

    http://www.novaspace.com/SOLD_OUT/L_L.html

Space, astronomy, astrophysics. Fun shit! In fact, I have many of his old out of print, prints! They're going in my son's room in our new place. He's taking over dad's old space theme. I went a little too psychedelic in my aspects, collections, artwork, lighting, music, lalalala, to stick with space for my "room" :).

My girlfriend's room, I'm guessing will be pink with flowers everywhere :lol::lol::lol::lol: But that's okay. When we move into our new place and when my area is almost complete, I'll post pictures. We actually want to have a vote off who's room looks better and what better place to judge than psynews? h0h0!

Anyways, back to music. Okay! Nevermind, I have nothing new to add. :(

  4. Exist Dance is a nice label, though some of their 12"s are not all that great. The CD is good, though. I also wouldn't call it 'psytrance' or anything of the sort.

    414336

Right, I'm just saying for reference of a particular sound. Far from psytrance, but there's some similar "melody" in that CD. :)

    ATTN Ukiro:

No, if you look at sen0byte's feedback, he seems to buy as many copies of IFO CD as he can. Seriously! I don't know what's going on, but he buys a lot of the same CDs for large amounts of cash, really. Whatever is up with that, I haven't a clue?! I wish someone else could tell us?!

As for that Transwave - Datura EP. I figured I have most of the Transwave stuff already and I love Cycles of Life track on Symbiosis, so I'm hoping the Datura EP will give me a track I'll love just as much. :) Thanks for hinting at that though. Trans'pact is a new thing to me. Having known about asia 2001 forever now, I've never really followed. I wanted to get my TIP collection done, but now I find myself not really aimed at completing, or being a completist, but having fun and searching for more obscure and fun titles, hoping I'll like the next thing that I find. :)

There have been a lot of good finds all across the internet, from froogle.de to many german based record shops. All kinds of wonderful deals are to be had by everyone, if you are looking that is :)

  5. I wantlisted some of their output a while back, and that label is one I will be checking out this spring... But I haven't heard anything, so I have no idea what it's like. I'll probably just grab one or two 12" to start with and see if it's something I'm willing to research further. But as always, money is the issue - I could probably spend $1000 a day!

    414258

We all could spend 1000 or more aday. I figured if I won the lottery I'd be like that sen0byte dude and buy up EVERY CD ever made :) just so the rarity was....ridiculous. Note: he's bought a thousand copies of Pleiadians IFO, I have no idea why?!

Transmitting from Heaven is the CD I meant to say. Not just ..heaven :). I actually got the recommendation from atomcow on discogs. It was a very good recommendation I might add. Simply good for it's time. :)

It's too bad you didn't get that trans'pact record. I just got the transwave datura recently :-/ and figured what the hell. You beat me, then that damn cricket. I'll be sure to bring bigger shoes along next time, damn insects. :)

    Aaron

  6. Oh, and Ukiro, I think you'd be interested in looking at the Exist Dance label, a west coast USA label. I was told of them and their .. Heaven CD, fuq I can't think of the title, but it has goa/psy elements. I wouldn't necessary say it was from "goa influence" but it has the element that we learned to love in the mid/late 90's :) something from heaven or some crap like that. Get it, check it out, it's kind of a mixture!

    Aaron

  7. Well, some of us collect BOTH cd and vinyl... =)

There's been an avalanche of new CD collectors on ebay recently, but it's calming down again now it seems. But while this has been going on, I've skipped the bidding wars and tried to complete vinyl stuff instead - no point in fighting over a CD that shows up once a month - I'm sure patience will pay off. Anything commercially released will come up again some day.

One label I've been working on somewhat is Trans'Pact, where only 7 vinyls remain now, and several of them are easy to find so I guess it's just a matter of time. I already have the trickiest ones. I think I will have it completed (vinyl-wise) during 2006. On it's sub-label Subliminal I'm missing 2 vinyls (S.04 and S.10). I think Doss-House was also a sublabel of Trans'Pact, but that one is complete now. Other complete labels are Celtic, Inter 1 (HAH! I have 009!!!), and Helix Records (well, won the final CD last night so it's not here yet). And several "mini-labels" of course.

Nearly complete is Alien Reign (fairly unknown and VERY underrated label), Aquatec (missing the last compilation on vinyl), 21-3, and High Society (missing 7 CDs but I have all the vinyls).

I'd love to complete a label like Matsuri, and I only need a few more of the vinyls, but the CDs... damn! So mych of the later stuff is musically uninteresting that I'm reluctant to spend the money there yet. I'll rather go for the stuff that is both collectable and musically rewarding. On TIP I'm getting very close to 100% completion now, but sadly the hugely over-priced beyond colour CD is still missing from my collection (and a few others). The price on that one has to go down soon...

I'm also hoping to get the worlds only 100% complete Blue Room Released collection, but it's practically impossible - there are several 6-copies-only items (test pressing vinyls that were cancelled) still not on Discogs, of which I'm missing 2 or so. I have some to submit.

Dragonfly and Transient won't be complete for a LONG time since their 21st century CD output is uninteresting to me. But I'm very close to having all their 1990's vinyl at least.

My current collection projects are for unknown labels that were never really known in the goa scene, but that have a goa sound. Some of them are very very expensive though, and I'm trying to cut back on the collector expenses in favour of other types of music (and an upcoming more to a new appartment).

    413874

Ukiro, I have s.04 :-P Actually, it was won froma record shop guy a few blocks from my house who Jikkenteki was telling me had all kinds of psytrance stuff and to go to the store. Well, the shitty part was, he closed up store and become mail-order only so I missed my opportunity to buy all his psy :-D And I guess he had a ton of it too!

Goodluck with subliminal. I just wanted that record because I loved Celtic Alchemy a lot. :)

    Aaron

  8. hehe, yea he is now offering a better package.  I scored about 10 CDs from him.

I got OOOD - A-Live for $4, Shakta - Silicon Trip for $3,  Phosphorescent Comp for

$10, some unheard of jaia CD with Orphee and Brainstorm both on it for $6... heheehehe :))

    413671

I know, i looked! I shitted myself at what you scored. :-D That rocks! Good job Niobi! We shall clear out the good deals :-D.. Oh! And on your note above about records and shipping. CDs are far easier to deal with. I did score Transwave - Datura EP recently, for a hefty price (trans'pact). Whatever, it was rare enough for me to tackle it :) so i snatched it. I have ALMOST everything from transwave at least according to discogs. So why not?! Well, shit! I hate being a collector, hm. I want to trade! :( HEH!

Aaron (the in the mood to trade kind of dude)

  9. Aaron, I am just like you!!  I first was after mainly vinyl, but now I realize it

is so much easier to collect CD's!  Shipping is easier, you don't have to

flip the f*ck1ng disk every 10 minutes, etc..  Mainly the vinyls I want are the

12" with mindblowing tracks where I don't mind slapping down ther wax to

    hear one particular gem.

PM me about Mu Clear vinyl if you have a second.

    \\n

    413669

no no no! I don't have thee vinyl version, just the cd :) i got it from masam dude on ebay awhile back along with orange and white. i noticed he had dumped another white one onto you :) but this time with the obistrip, wh0rd. I beat you at one guy, at least :))) haha. If I find a copy through one of the thousand web sources, that I know you search and myself daily *laugh*, i'll let you know. I think we should really get together and work on some code to have a music finding bot go scour the millions of used record shop inventories available all over the net. We've been finding some rather rare shit lately niobi! :) The excitement builds. Actually, I've been keeping an eye out on the lunar civi...shit for you. Cause I need something to trade with you :-P

    Aaron

  10. Hehe, I snatched up Green Nunions CD for 9.99 the other day.

    413665

Oh, I know! I found that *person* a week ago. But I did not browse their stuff carefully, I'm kicking myself now really! :( I thought all of their cds would have no inserts so I ignored em, yes! :(:(:((((( stupid 5.99 trickery! SHH! We must keep our sources secret :-D Okay, well, now everyone knows. ahahha! It's fun!

    :)

    Aaron

  11. The vinyls I am after right now are:

    1) BPC - Overbloody Flood (UFK93004)***

    2) Mu Clear (Nippon Crown) - might be easy to chase down; not sure

    3) Geomantik (4xLP)

    413666

I have Geomantik. Mu Clear...I see rennis just listed that didn't he? I'm happy with the CD :> I'm actually trading out all vinyl at the moment for CDs, don't ask. I'll keep the ones of tracks not released on CD :-/. I'm just fed up with them I guess, hehe. It's been fun though!

I think you could get the Mu Clear pretty easily?!@ Who knows. Ask Rennis, :)

    Aaron

  12. and the Limited Edition vinyl Orange Compilation.  There is also apparently a TIP22 (ep) - Labyrinth of Colours EP

    on blue vinyl.

    413661

Not apparent, anymore i found out. Ukiro scored a copy on ebay recently for uber cheap. Damn ebay stalking. And damn you for that hypnorhythm steal, and that asia 2001 steal, and everyother steal :-D DAMNIT!@# Hahaha.

    I'll trade records!

    Aaron

  13. hux flux cryptic crunch - seemingly impossible to get any chances get at any cost considered one of the best

if anyone can help me with getting hux flux, blue planet or asia 2001 live

i will pay you alot for them?

    413640

I have Cryptic Crunch on vinyl. I'm actually not to keen on it. Give me a price and it's more than likely your's :) if you don't mind it not being the CD.

    Aaron

  14. I have for trade a copy in MINTY FRESH condition:

    UX - Ultimate Experience

    Released on Dragonfly Records

Again, it is the Dragonfly BFLCD22 release :)

Give me offers via PM, I don't have many CDs but have began trading recently finally here after holding off with record trading. :-O CDs are cheaper to trade. Now, make some good offers those interested :)

    P.S. Please consider <99 releases!

    Aaron

  15. Alas, it would seem my asking £45 for this was very optimistic/greedy (delete where applicable) as it only fetched £23.00 on eBay.

    411880

no, but you have to remember that you are not diamonde7 or planet.trance on ebay. if it had been their copy, it would had probably made it up to 45 :-P but damn 23 is still good for a seller who isn't regularly selling rarities on ebay :-D

    Aaron

  16. So, I am not sure really how many people *research* the drugs they use here on psynews. However, I am personally one who likes to read and study various psychoactive compounds and plants so I have a rather extensive library of books. Anyways, I have many extras of some books and am starting out on getting rid of Jonathan Ott books all of which are hardcover bound. These are for auction and BEST OFFERS are more than welcomed. If you are interested, just follow the link and then click buy it now or submit best offer. All offers considered. :)

Get yourself some books and quit spending all of your time on here :-P

  17. i don't know rating scale. i like it or i don't. but for pure amusement:

    koxbox - dragontales

    astralasia - anything <98 =]

    hallucinogen - twisted

    infected mushroom - naaaaah, never a 10/10 here, okay..whatever i quit

    ratings suck!

    Aaron

BTW, someone should start the next rating thread...on your mark, get set, GO!!! Less than 10 minutes away before it begins :>

  18. I have two things to add to this thread (besides my first post of course):

First about Devious' post: xtc did exactly the same to me. I wasn't a hacker but felt pretty lonely, depressed and generally like a piece of shit. After taking xtc for the first time, I've changed for the better. I still take it (more than only once in a blue moon) and I still love it.

And about the DJ mix: I'm sure going to download it, it looks great!!!!  :)

    410583

Yo tatsu, yeah dude. I had to cut back. I blamed my stupidity that I acquired through "drug use" on x, but I've realized as of lately it was due to an overdose on something called AMT (alphamethyltryptamine). It really took a bite out of my brain and I'm still trying to find the sanity that was lost on that psychologically impairing and mentally destructive trip.

So, really, I take back the stupidity associated with x and reattribute it to AMT :) no thanks to my GF who takes all of the blame for it anyways, haha. Alas, I believe in the recreation nature of the mind and do accept that neurons can heal and regenerate so I somewhat sense this natural mental restructuring going on, as if I was going from (a little drastic, but to compare) an infant -> toddler mentality.

Anyways, life is grand. It's just hard being a daddy now and all your friends ditching you so I'm kind of back in front of the computer again :) just not depressed. Bored out of my mind. But my lil' one makes me so- happy that he's totally worth the boredom that consumes me from not having the freedom I did have. :) He rocks!

    Aaron

  19. This thread has been one of the more favorable topics I've seen here in years :-P okay, maybe not, but it caught my interest.

Ten years ago, I was 14. I was looking for a way out. I first smoked pot then. And amazingly, months after smoking my first bowl, I found out about Juno Reactor. I received a copy of Transmissions on CD. I was very impressed. I guess you can say it's goa-techno, whatever, it was acidic, and I loved it. This was my introduction to the US "rave" scene. Then I found regular trance. I loved that too. Having no idea that Juno Reactor was considered a sub-genre, goa trance. I figured what the hell, trance is trance. :) Well, whilst browsing the internet, I can't remember what site it was, I found a comparison chart with Juno Reactor and other artists being linked. That opened the doorway to my love for psy.

In 1997, after Bible of Dreams was released, I sort of backed down. It wasn't because I lost interest. A point of depression hit me, I wasn't musically inclined. Rock, Punk, Hip Hop, Electronica, etc....all the genres I liked, I hated for a point; it took about 7 months to get over. I sat in front of a computer, hacking the planet, wondering when the feds were going to knock down my door. Being a lil' fuck who had no life other than depression and "the computer was my best friend!"

Anyways, in 1998, I went to a party and found Ecstacy. Yes, I was late! =] I kept with pot smoking, but anyways, I took a pill, and after that, the wall had been broken. I am so thrilled that the wall had been broken. People came flowing into my life, and I felt light once again. Ever since, it's been an up and down battle, but when the love life takes the best of you away, you kind of sit there, sad. Thank you Shulgin for MDA/MDMA =]

P.S. There's a very recent article. I don't see that anyone posted it recently on psynews, but it's an interview with Shulgin:

    http://www.mg.co.za/printPage.aspx?area=/i...rticleId=259958

    Titled "Daddy of Ecstacy"

Enjoy! :) And btw, I no longer do x, it just broke me free of my bubble, and well, I guess I do take it once in a blue moon for the mood enhancing experience. So I lied, so what? :)
