  1. I've not heard them. Can you post some links? I'll check them out when my speakers are returned and shall report back.
  2. There's some truth in what you say.... but let's be honest, his last three tracks, Bubble 'N Tweak, Stretch Tastic and Pipeworm, despite being good tracks, have all fallen short of the singles he released post-The Lone Deranger.
  3. Don't you see it?
  4. It is a good track, and I'm in no way tired of playing it, but the man's capable of so much more that I can't help but feel mildly disappointed. Maybe it was Lucas' fault it fell just short, yes, that'll be it.
  5. Even that. *God have mercy on my soul*
  6. The Music Police.
  7. I don't really mind pirates who copy and sell stuff that is no longer in print as they're not really ripping anyone off, and offer folk the opportunity of getting their hands on now-hard-to-find releases. It would be different if the CD was still readily available in the shops.
  8. I get what you're saying and did consider that but I feel today's psy has changed since 2001/2002.
  9. What strikes me, reading this thread, is not what albums folk are choosing but what category they're putting them in. It's interesting. I never really considered that to be dark psy, but thinking about it, it could quite easily come under that category.
  10. I have the original and will send you a *cough* on a good quality CDR if you want. Hell, I'll even pay the postage.
  11. Following on from the recent discussions about whether today's psy music is as good as the psy of old, I thought it would be interesting to properly gauge people's opinion. Note: Modern psy refers to anything released in 2004 forward.
  12. Bid?
  13. It's true though, don't you think?
  14. You say it like it's a bad thing. There's nothing wrong with being a discerning psy listener, especially when it's so easy to dip into more mainstream genres and find a wealth of good music.
  15. I have headphones, but one pair are for a sony minidisc player and have a silly square plug (for the remote control functions) next to the normal plug, so aren't compatible with normal headphone sockets, and my other pair have too large a plug for my soundcard. Maybe you could send me yours, reger? I'll give you give them back, honest.
  16. I still have no speakers at the moment as I lent them to a friend who's just got into using those eJay music-making programs. I might ask him for them back soon, sitting at the PC with no tunes is no fun.
  17. Maybe he's just really, really small and can clamber into his CD's between the protons and electrons.
  18. Radi actually prefers that to the original. Bless him.
  19. Yeah, it's easily my favourite track on the album. Can't wait for his 2 new albums, one trance, one downbeat.
  20. Goa: Hallucinogen - Twisted Ambient Trance: Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? Dark: UX - Ultimate Experience That's it I'm afraid, they're the only styles of psy I really listen to.
  21. In my opinion it doesn't do anything better than UX's Ultimate Experience or Pleiadian's IFO did (other than the production side of things - but it's come out almost 10 years later so I'd expect as much). And I'm not saying it's full-on, I'm saying it starts to approach full-on as some of the faster tracks seldom have a break in their beat and are of the sharp 'thudding' style. Anyway, overall, it's good but nothing special.
  22. I've probably just heard more trance than him, reger. Heard it all before, me.
