So, once and for all...this is the truth, no more multi page discussions on that topic, lossless audio... i.e., wave files, flac, sound better on high fidelity, really loud sound systems designed to be as accurate and powerful as possible, so anything from studio monitors, maybe some very high quality home systems, all the way up to a stack of 16 cabinets at an outdoor musical event. I can always tell when an mp3 comes up, but the higher the bitrate the better you can tell. 128k is obvious, 256k is usually noticable, and 320 / high quality VBR is harder to tell and in my opinion is usually totally fine to play. But ofcourse, wave is clearly and obviously better and simply causes the speakers to create an atmosphere of vibrations (...sound) in a more accurate way; hence people describe it as sounding fuller and essentially more real. BUT considering most of the time we listen to music via computer speakers, headphones or car stereos, you usually won't be able to tell the difference between mp3 and wav. Which is what most everyone else is experiencing. if you can tell the difference, congratulations, your sound is good and this Filteria album is indeed, something everyone in search of originality in music should try out. Comming from the goa end of things, this is a 100% no filler, original concept. You can hear the goa vibe but you also can hear where it continues the story and basically, is something new; Filteria's style. My advice to Jannis is, you have accomplished what we can hear as your original vision and style we first heard 5 years ago, now it is fresh, and a completely valid contribution to our ideas of goa trance as well as really rocking dancefloor tracks. Naturally we would love to hear more adventures like this, but do not be adverse to the idea of expiramenting into completely different kinds of rythms - myself and a few others are aware that after 3 excellent albums, it becomes more and more difficult to top them if they continue in the same style, so the people who are saying that they wish the albums weren't all so similar have this kind of viewpoint. I am most excited by the tracks you release on compilations, particularly suntrip ones. they are all usually very good concepts, like for example your latest K.o.B. track on cronomi's v/a people walk funny, which is a stellar track.

myspace samples sound mostly like the same old same old full on from the last 7 years, just slightly brighter sounds, and a smidget of over simplification and minimalism which we're supposed to think is psychedelic. Though the use of minor keys is done well, I suppose thats the total eclipse sound amidst I already have enough music that sounds just like this. Scene, i pester thee the following, when can we evolve?? Lets see what the album brings even one good track would be like a gift. P.S. only track I liked on the myspace was chaotic circus, and I figure thats because its a classic / old track (which I have not heard before! but can tell) Present past sounds good too But I think I simply am tired of the full on / the modern israeli psy style so please consider that before listening to me.

Nhjo i'm afraid that you can only be taken seriously in the label world if you have 10,000+ views on your myspace page. Wheres yours?? It helps to play out at a few events too, even if its just playing water bowls and doing shanti chants for an hour.

I think it really rocks socks some great ideas in there, a long with a few cheesy ones. I'm not sure how long the amp guitar can hold up, or that tempo. But it has soul.

Me too. Now that thats settled, when do we meet? D5 to me most represents music where all the melodies give in and fade into eachother to tell a story. With psytrance, it is often the percussions that change and fade into new parts.... with D5 the storytelling is melodic. This is the case with goa too, that is the simplest difference, psytrance is percussive in mixing, goatrance is melodic... so in different words, i'm saying dimension 5 has the most goa spirit

This is true bwhale, imo you're not cool anymore if you make a thread about IM so you're still the underground. In all likelyhood, if I answered honestly....yes! Especially if i'm gonna have a massive sound system and DJs playing psytrance. That sounds like an awesome idea. Minus druggies throwing up, good thing those things are easily detered by throwing glowsticks which they are primordially attracted to and gravitate towards. If you have a particularly motivated one you can just have someone on hand to do some lightshows and walk off into the distance, lurring away any potential stragglers.

Hmm, so if you look at this recent video of an Infected Mushroom "concert"... you will be traumatized. That is not how we dance to psytrance, and all those people blow. These pop lyrics have become synonymous with vibe kill, you cannot have one without the other. ^ so please compare that video with.... See the difference?
