  1. I have already said it, and i will say again Its nice Btw, Icarus. There is now a new promotion area here on Psynews, every track you post here should be on the music promotion forum The mods would probably change the location of this topic....so dont freak out in case you come back and dont find this topic here
  2. If we are lucky Psy would take directions that Astro Cortex is talking about The next big thing should be something mystical-gothic-melancholic and nocturne
  3. Thanks Amygdala Nice to know that.... btw, what did you mean with "the music is an entirely diferent matter"? did you mean you kind of liked the direction that the music is taking? or is something that dont take to you judge now, with such a short sample? Coments about the music itself would be highly apreciated too
  4. Demo Track I have been trying to make this track since the day i finished Mind Court. The thing is that i was bored to death with it, and i thought about deleting and all. but yesterday, i finally could make the track goes on the way i want...well sort of One of the things i want for you guys help me is the bass. you know that i am producing in a bad aSS Troni SP-119A...what ever that means, is bad...i got no reference at all on that area especially so anyways, could you please check it out... and dont mind the bad intro, its usually the last thing i do....so take it after :40 secs
  5. Btw, Pustracer by Igneous Sauria is my favorite track of then, very wise choice And that mixing on the beginning is very good. still impressed...i am not very much of a "mix person" you know?
  6. Hey Rah. i listened, and i found great. The mixing and tracks selection is awesome. This is one of the best mix i heard here. I was already instantly atracted to the track list... but in the end, i really like was those artists i dindt know about. That Lan track simply rocks! Very very nice
  7. This topic has been great help Thanks everybody I must say that i dont mean to professionaly master my tracks. If i want that, i would seek a professional to do that. I was asking cause i am very interested on the subject, and one day, i hope i could at least do a basic mastering by my own. So, what i eventually tried out was: I opened up the arrange windown of my last track, wich was already properly mixed.. then i went to the master chanell and opened up a (i am using Logic) EQ, an Expander, and a compressor. I dint change any settinngs on the expander. And i changed the ratio of the compressor to 3.4. Now, it doesnt sound like the next Son Kite track, but it does sound better, and the compression effects hardly changes the "natural" feeling of the track. Then i record, and that is it! In order to test, i put the audio file (of the recorded tarck), on a new arrange window. Now i go again for the master channell open up an expander and an compressor, both with default settings...and i record again I test the both three versions..the one with no compression at all, the one with one compression, and that one that was compressed two times.... Then, after i listened i found out that The one with nothing, was missing power and was too lown and for my surprise the one compressed two times was the best one. Even thou the second one also sound good. So, is this process...wrong or dead wrong!? Remenber this is just for me to record for fun and distribute to my friends, and i understood that if i want to see really released, i send the original version, with no compression at all, clean and pure...to the sound enginner....
  8. We goa lovers, are the only people in the world that classifies this music as dark
  9. No no....you listen up manolo..... YOU send me the VST and then I send you the money... Capiche? Do we got a deal?
  10. Thats right, i meant Nerve "Nervous" What i was thinking? I think it was because of the blend name of Nerve the project name, and No fokus wich is the album name...the result is Nervous Btw NT Flower attitude just for the sake of it is lame too, i agree with you. But the idea of selling music as evil is just as lame as selling your music as Holy or Spiritual That was my point
  11. So i got a soundforge demo to test around and i am still learning a few things on it. What i want to know, is how do i use the multi-band compressor. Should i put the Thereshold at -5db, and the gain at 0db? What about the channels by pass. Should i enable then?. Or should i disable the by pass and do the same setting on the others channel? Is there any guidelines or recomendable setting for a psytrance tune? What is the RMS level. and how should i put the medium level? and last but not least...is there any basics steps (or rules) i should do in order to properly master a track in SoundForge? Off corse that this aplyes to the interface of sound forge, but any form of mastering tips will be welcome too If anybody could share me a light here, i would be very greatfull
  12. I second that You want something dark? Try The Delta, Nervous and Spirallianz.... Btw, evil is LAME.... Dark is something, evil is another thing Remind of that, and you will be fine
  13. Its diferent, the idea is very good. I like that kind of soft driven trippy thing Its good... just give the production some atention, cause the track hasnt enough power, imo But nice
  14. Its nice, but it lacks of something... The melodies are too much "in your face" kind of way. The production is ok, but it also needs some work so it would become more alive Overall its nice
  15. So, i for the frst time tried to make a track with a high BPM... and this is one is 146BPM, and the whole idea behind the music was to create something intense and hard as possible, yet emotional...... its also a mixture betwen psytrance and techno/industrial style Feedback would be apreciated as usual Mind Court
  16. You kind of elimate it yourself from the solution... You have to get another synth to create the beatifull soundscapes windy alike. In Pro-52 you can do that, but it was not made for that...so it would be very hard to do that on Pro-52 You can instanly create an atmospheres on especial softwares like Absynth (get it) and Spectrasonics ( dont need to get yet, unless it turn out serious) You can edit thou, so it makes your own sound I guess what you need to learn is to control the wave form. In pro-52 there is the Atack(A) , ReleaseĀ®, Decay(D) and Sustain(S) for example. So if you have a punch sound like a Kick or a hat in its natural form. You can make the hat or kick not sound too punchy by increasing the atack sing and the release sing. so the wave would be extended in a form it would flow more.... Well obviously its not enought to creat your atmospheres ..... But what i am trying to say is, get a synth that has atmospheres presets and mess around with then untill you find something good But Btw RTP, there is no way to get wht you want by instant rules or solutions. To really learn how to creat a beatiful atmosphere is hard and take years to understand only the basics of the potencial in editing sounds Untill that, you will depends on lucky.....
  17. Wow. you can really open those things up! Great stuff!
  18. Hey Spargus thanx for the comments! And btw, i never had heard of Trimada before, but i am glad i did now Good stuff indeed, i was kind of missing this kind of gothic teky stuff Very nice....
  19. Thnaks both Philter and Mckoy for the great feedbacks I now went to see what was wrong and i realized that, the bass is indeed too much filtered, and i will remove that... or at least most of it. I will also try to make it sound better by mastering on Logic, and i will post here the other version. The song is very lown in "punch" indeed, and i will try to fix that. As for the structore, i must say that the "repetitive" feeling was intencional. I tryed to make something that slowly progrees, but never get to an edge...just stay contanst with in its rythm. Good thing that the the percussion turned out nice to you guys But this was more home listening oriented, some kind of intro track... or like some guy had put it on another forum " something to listen driving back home, after a party"
  20. Thanks Mckoy You have said it all. I was thinking about this subject a few days ago.... And about the music...the production is bad indeed. As i said on another topic, i dont have monitors right now and i am doing this for fun with some computer speakers, so i cant see excatly what is going on, expecally in terms of frequencies adjusts You say that the low frequencies are too loud? Another thing, this is not masterized, and many things are in mono, the thing is that i didnt pan anything yet.
  21. This indeed a very good track. The production is very polished and everything is clear. There is no complaining on that part As for the musical fell, isnt exactly my type of psytrance. For ex i didnt like the melody that started around 4:00, but then it turned out nice again Anyways, i loved the atmosphere, and very nice use of fx! Overall, very good track. Spot on!
  22. Anyone? You can bash it if you want....
  23. That was my point Nick And my post was suposed to sound wrong. I dont think that about goa, what i dont agree is that is ok to say minimal/progressive isnt psychedelic, but goa isnt. Like goa has hold the secret formula of psychedelic music Wich i strongly disagree. Take Pink Floyd for ex. The greates psy moments of their music is when its minimal. Echoes is the best ex for that
