  1. I don't know how anyone could ever do a truely live trance act. If they did, it would have to sound VERY different from what you got on the recorded album. Too all those I see out there giving groups a hard time for not doing real live acts: relax. Where I live, we never get any known groups...ever. We never see any famous DJ's...ever. Does that stop me from enjoying the music? Of course not. But, if I got the chance to see AP play (live, DJ, whatever), I would jump at the chance, and I'd be happy I got it. That's all I got to say. And to Phaedrus, if you @!#$ that golden egg roll and the pictures turn out, I want to see them. That would really be something

    Cosmosis - Synergy

Cool cool stuff. Even the packaging is innovative. Cosmosis has some of the best cover artwork in my opinion. Also like how he talks a bit about each track in the liner. I wish more artists would do this. The music? What can I add to what's already been said? Not much I guess. It's got a sharper funkier sound than cosmology, and it's very energetic, melodic, and psychedelic. It's good. Let's leave it at that.

    Cypher - I Music

Trance inspired mellow, funky, trippy music. Some tracks have awesome stereo effects in them (the intro to Dubientish comes to mind). Check it out if you can appreciate music that deviates slightly from the psytrance mold. Personally, I am totally satisfied with this one. Deedrah (and friends) strikes again!...

    Cosmosis - Cosmology

One of the first few albums I ever got. For that it will always have a special place in my memory. That aside, this is still quality classic goa trance. I've heard Key to the Innerverse so many times, that I skip it now. The rest is good to down right excellent. Get this. It's one of classics you can still easily get.
  5. I used to have this one. There are some classic tracks on it for sure. The best in my opinion are: 1, 3, 5, 7, & 9. Well worth getting if you don't have these songs already. As I recall, the tracks seemed to end rather abruptly and harshly at times on this CD (almost like they had got the tracks from various sources and just thrown them together without doing any work to smooth the transitions out). But maybe that was just my copy. Has anyone else noticed that this CD has a very similar track listing to a compliation called "Israel's Psychedelic Trance Vol 1" on the label Trust in Trance?
  6. I just tried again, same thing. I hope it doesn't post my review twice later.
  7. Astral Projection, MWNN are old and tacky! Old maybe, relatively speaking, but tacky? NO, they are classic. None the less, I must second the motion for S-Range, & Vibrasphere.

    Dimention 5

You can still easily get cosmosis: cosmology as it is made by transient records. I heard that Blue Room is no more, so I wish you the best of luck with Radio and Alien Protein.

    Dimention 5

There aren't any samples in second phaze that I can think off hand?? Maybe you are thinking about Ra to Sirus (now that's got some cheese samples). If you want Transdimensional, I bet you'd like Second Phaze too. Incidentally, I was looking for Transdimensional, and it's impossible to find. I will wait till they re-release it and get a copy. Now...a short prayer to the gods of psytrance...RE-RELEASE MIRANDA PHENOMENA & ETNICA ALIEN PROTEIN There, I hope that works.
  10. Awesome. This truely is one of the best. Get it.
  11. It has an older sound to it, but still very good of course. Really classic sounding. I've heard the first two tracks so much that I tend to skip them now, and listen to 3 thru 9. No bad tracks on here. Get it.

    X-Dream - Radio

Another good album by X-dream. Their sound changed with Radio. It's deeper, darker, and more powerful. Less goa and more psytrance, I think. Not really minimal though. Favorite tracks: Freak, Electromagnetic, Telegram, Oscillator, and Out of Control. Get it for sure.
  13. So what's this one like? It's the older X-Dream sound, more in line with their work on We Created Our Own Happiness & Trip to Trancesylvania. It's got an oldschool sound that I like. This is not like Radio (which is good too, just different). If you strictly like the post Radio sound then you won't like this. Protoplasm is unreal, wicked deep pounding track, can't believe I'd never heard this one before. Other very good tracks: 1, 2, 4, & 6. I can't listen to the Offender. The last three are decent but nothing special in my books. Overall, I'd say this album is well worth the money if you like older X-dream and you don't already have most of it on compilations.
  14. In that song there is a sample of some girl that goes like "they gave me the LSD and they took me to the hotel...I dunno what they done to me but I remember and it was horrible" Then a guys voice asks "they gave you what?" She says "LLLLLLLLL SSSS DDDD" over and over again. Does anyone know where that comes from?
  15. Is it the slower dub version?
  16. I'm in Vancouver too. Have ordered before from Saiko with no troubles. Infact, I'm expecting a shipment from them any day now. In the past, I have waited 1 to 2 weeks from the intial order to get my stuff.

    Yahel - Waves Of Sound

Call it what you want (cheese, trance, goa, or whatever). I think it's great. One of the few albums I have that can be listened to start to finish. It's got a light happy feel to it. Not for every moment, but great for a sunny afternoon. If you're strictly into cutting edge minmal sounds, then run as fast as you can, because you will hate this. If you like happy morning trance in the style of AP, then get it. Check him out on mp3.com to preview it.
  18. Hey ouroboros, that's a cool story. To me, it's fascinating how so many things in life are arrived at by evolutionary process. You can look back and see how one thing led to another, and another, and so on. At the time, you have no idea where it's all going, but the whole time there is a kind of searching going on. Your choices combine with circumstance to create discovery. When that discovery is something like a powerful idea or psytrance, it's very special I think. It can seem like things could not have been any other way.
  19. It was "Hypnotic Trance (2 or 3 or 4 ??)" on Fairway records I think. Don't have it anymore, but wish I did. It was a double CD. The first one was mixed by Tsuyoshi & the second was mixed by Joti Sidhu. It was fucking wicked. Had songs like Witchcraft-Whale, Transwave-MDMA, Encens-Venus Zen, Etnica-Astral Way, High Score-True Freedom, and more like that. Solid, solid stuff. The very next album I got was Astral Projection's "Trust in Trance ( 3 )" Never looked back. I still remember being on shrooms with a buddy. We watched a couple movies but were still high. We were looking for something to do. I was like "I've got a couple of new CD's, let's throw them on." That's when the full power of this music really hit me. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
