heh... interesting... very minimal and i like minimal, they might the pulling the cord too much though... it is however very interesting for exactly that... chilling at night to let it play in the background i suppose If im going for that type of atmospheric slow dum dum... i personally go with dub

a bassline goes right alongside the kick... so it is very related to the BMP of the song... you want slower bass you need to look for slower songs... if you ask a sound engineer to produce a bass that will not be 'kicking' he will probably tell you thats just not very good production technique... i.e: it's supposed to be punchy anyway.. my two cents... i will give dark doors a listen though sounds like an interesting concept..
