  1. Sorry for posting negative comment, but I don't like the hi-hat(s) at start and the whole track is rather mediocre IMO.
  2. That's not melodic. Sounds like uninspired full-on to me, sorry ...
  3. You dont have to listen from last.fm exclusively. Biggest plus is that it can scrobble the tracks you play in your winamp or WMP or other player you have, that is keeping stats of what you play.
  4. Well MFG is an example of such an artist. The Prophecy, New Kind Of World, Project Genesis, The Message. By the way, I thought you would also comment on the goa & innovation discussion too..
  5. Well I would love to see some alternative option, aka, I would like to see the words innovation and goa one next to each other, but I really doubt that will happen. If you think you can do it, go ahead though.
  6. I don't think "goa trance" narrows down to only these artists, so why do you put these words in my mouth ? For me goa trance is a subgenre of psychedelic trance.
  7. As I said innovation happens in suomi, dark, tech-trance,psy-prog etc. I really insist that it's really hard to do something innovative in goa trance and it still being goa trance. Of course it's possible to innovate,as I said many times already, but then it would be no goa anymore, but something else.
  8. What about trance before goa, or before goa become popular? E.g Eye-Q Compilations. Also check this free(legal of course) trance track here !
  9. Too bad I didn't get a reply to that. And Procyon, I agree, one shouldn't limit his creativity only to Goa, but my point is something different: If you want to create Goa, it's really hard to innovate.
  10. I am intrigued to check it... Maybe you have some link for it in electronic form ?
  11. And Elysium, to take it further: Do you think it's possible to create an original bassline that doesn't resemble anything made during a period of around 20 years of goa trance, AND the track still remaining goa trance? You might make innovative basslines in suomi or darkpsy(psykovsky's latest, regardless of whether I like it or not, nothing to do with my point), but if you want to make something sound like goa , vast amounts of originality are impossible or really, really, really hard. I bet that even someone with lots of producing experience like you can't make a goa bassline that doesn't resemble anything made in the past (and of course, as I said, the music still being Goa trance). If you can, let us know.
  12. Well yes , if someone makes something unique or that differs , it won't be Goa anymore. It will be experimental psytrance or something ( check Ozmali - Forest Fusion for example. There you can spot some innovation, but I would bet that's not your cup of tea either). But anyhow, I can tell apart a Merr0w track from a Filteria or Lost Buddha track. I can't disagree though ,you are right that in the past artists *generally* sounded more different but still they shared lots of similarities too.
  13. I think there is new skool goa with their unique sound, e.g merrow
  14. ^ Elysium this friend of mine doesn't even listen to lots of psy/goa, he is rather new to the scene. To be honest I found it quite a success that with so little listening experience he managed to recreate the oldskool sound with just Ableton Live and a few VSTs.
  15. He has MSN too, I am giving him the MSN u have on your profile , OK?
  16. Yeap, link seems to work fine. Try again Imba. @ Sideffect, what do u think of it ?
  17. They are a generally new band, from USA. You should check them. MSN me if you can't find their album
  18. I haven't read it but I bet it's worth it. I have read "Siddharta" by the same author and it made me a really good impression! Check that out too if u haven't..
  19. Autistic Youth - Idle Minds (2010) punk/post-punk ...
  20. So a friend made this track, and I am asking whether it could be released in some label that releases goa compilations (maybe Ektoplasm or some other label?) Here is the link for the track: Lethe River - Aiwass
  21. Toi-Doi Etnica Juno Reactor Blue Planet Corporation Prana OUT: Slinky Wizard IN : Prana
