A couple of recommendations from me, not all of them are unforgettable but they are worth trying if you 've happened to master all the classics of this genre. But some of them are considered to be among the best sci-fis (Cronenberg's The Fly & Videodrome or Carpenter's The Thing, which is my absolute favourite sci-fi horror + a bunch of anime classics). I'm not so sure about the Mad Max type of action movies though I'm a sucker for all pre & post-apocalyptic movies. Tetsuo, The Ironman (1989) - visually stunning & very disturbing cyberpunk & body horror feature from Japan - They Live! (1988) - Carpenter's vision of the 1980s' USA, has thriller & dark comedy elements - The Thing (1982) - it's got everything a sci-fi horror should be about - The Time Machine (1960) - imo much better than the 2002 action-packed version - Time Masters (Les Maitres du temps, 1982) Tremors (1990) TRON (1982) V: The Original Miniseries (1983) - it cannot compared to this shitty new ABC show - Videodrome (1983) - a Cronenberg classic that is way ahead of its time - Zardoz (1974) - it's highly underrated imo, a really peculiar little distopy -

Oh, I see. Well, they are new to me and they made my day happy. You've got taste in music, those two songs I mentioned above are among my all-time favourites. Nice job, especially in the case of Portamento: your version is insane. I also like Dancing Spirit but the original song gives me the shivers every time when that hauntingly beautiful chanting kicks in. And that feeling is very hard to reproduce. But you were close I can say that.

Very promising tracklist & nice cover too (no. 2 for me)! Nice to see Khetzal back in action & some artists experimenting with darker moods who are otherwise known for being suntripped to the bone. Also very curious about in which direction Janis' projects will be going. Can't wait to be able to listen to some samples.

Great! A thousand thanks for these! I have not heard of this label until now. There are so many outstanding & energetic tracks from these Cygnetic artists. This is absolutely I'm interested in. I mean local releases from around the world that are hard to find nowadays. Actually I could not find it however hard I tried. A link would be highly appreciated. I only got Blow Your Mind and the Mandra Gora tracks so I'm not familiar with his work after that at all. By his last album did you mean Singularity (TIP.World, 2005)?

Wow, this could be really interesting! His 2 compilation songs caught my attention some months ago so I checked his MySpace and also liked what I found there. Unfortunately this compilation was a special one, it could be purchased only at last year's Ozora (the biggest annual Hungarian psytrance festival) and a small party held at a club in Budapest. I'm trying to get a copy of this as I have some friends who know the ones responsible for this compilation (Oleg, a well-known Hungarian dj and Hosszu, a member of Aurafood/Aurasound). Actually there will be a bigger open-air party at Saturday in Budapest where Aurafood/Aurasound will perform. I'm looking forward to hear this song on a 16000W 3D sound system.
