How come people are branded "trolls" the minute they do not share the common taste here? Seem a bit elitist to me. And I agree. Go after the ball not the man. Debate instead of telling people they have a weird taste or there must be something wrong with their person. I like some of the old trippy stuff Koxbox made. The question is as all other "Who is the best" questions subject to taste. Just because one thinks an artist is the best does not make that artist the best. And "The best" is such an overrated argument. As an example. Why should I be among "the best" just because I am to be found on an old list that also are out of date when it come to the number of remixes done? (This was aimed at laserflip). I do not have any "the best" as there's so many amazing remixes done in the world. Just as there are so many horrible ones done. But I got a bigger one than you. It can not be argued

I will not judge anyone but give an example from my own Country. In Denmark we have a fascist Government these days. No empty whatsoever toward different thinking people or Refugees who they imprison up to 10 years (with no or very little help mentally – many are suffering from Posttraumatic illness) and after send back to possible dead, prosecution, kidnapping and suffering in Iraq. Back to a Country in deep chaos and Civil War after a War my Government started with USA. My Government breaks many International laws and is backed up by a Political party way to the far right. A Party that was formed by Neo-Nazis. Last Night the Danish Police was ordered by the Government to raid a Church (Yes a Church) and capture all Iraqi families who had asked for sanctuary in the Church as their last hope to stay in Denmark. The Children and Women was “kindly” spared but put out on the Street. The Men was dragged away like Cattle. The Police also beat up non violent people who were having a sit-down outside the Church. This whole episode made me feel so ashamed of my Country and had me thinking about the Crystal Night in Germany in the 30's. A very famous Danish Jewish Politician in Denmark also compares the Political situation to the one happening in Germany in the 30’s. This is how far out Denmark has become. To sum it up. My Government is made up from real criminal scumbags! What does our Authors, Painters, Actors, Musicians etc. do? They protest and become Activists! Trentemoller and other Danish big International artists and Dj’s are members of a Support group toward Iraqi refugees who all are supposed to be shipped back to Iraq after sitting 10 years in Danish Concentration Camps (That’s the best word to describe the camps). I am also involved in this Group and am proud to see my fellow Countrymen take a stand against racism and Government brutality (Which seem to be equal cruel in Denmark as any undemocratic Apartheid State these days). I know many other countries have artists and personalities getting involved in similar groups. I do not in any way compare our Country's Political situation with the Israel/Palestine conflict but maybe International artist’s activism in many other Democratic Countries could inspire the many Israeli artists to also speak up against unjust when they see it. PS! To say that Bono from U2 do not make a difference is not fair to the man and his volunteering staff’s dedication to change the World. His activism has as an example made Western Countries erases debts to 3rd World Countries. If that's not a major improvement then I do not know what is? The point is that artists do have a very powerful voice and should use it to try to change things IF they feel they want to get involved. They should not feel any pressure to not speak their Mind just because some judgmental people criticize their use of their voices! My long 2 cents

I do not want to drag myself into a dead end political debate but there are as many Political views in Israel as there are in any other Country. I have seen Israeli Psytrance artists sending out political rightwing spam on example Facebook and I have seen Israeli psytrance artists speaking pro the Palestinian cause. The World is God thank not Black & White. I agree with Basilisk that an Israeli artist would probably get into deep with political statements. Also from his own countrymen, but when that is said I think Political statements are missing in the psytrance scene. But that's my opinion of course. Peace

Not exactly what I wrote. I wrote that I could hear certain elements in IM's music which I had heard before in example Sandman and MFG among other artists. I never said I could not tell them apart from Sandman & Co. This debate has really gone lost in the Woods with a lot of assuming and people not really respecting or accepting other people’s views and opinions. My first and only point was that maybe people should move on instead of keep complaining about IM not making the same music anymore. As I wrote I don't think they really care and your complaints on an underground forum won’t change a thing And then I peacefully wrote what I think about IM (IMO they are not that special and not at all pioneers) and how I believe they have been heavily inspired by some pioneers from (especially Israel and UK) who IM grew up with and how I personally can hear it in their music and the sounds they used as well as the way they made the melodies. This was also based on some knowledge about Erez's favorites and huge inspiration source prior to his own debut release with IM. It's nice to debate but both sides in this debate have a hard time listening to each other’s points I think

Yes I agree it's probably a dead end discussion even though I feel some of you are a bit too sensitive regarding IM But nevertheless it's very interesting indeed how differently people approach music and analyzes it. Maybe that's another discussion some other day I will for sure give you examples later. I am a bit busy at the moment with some overdue design work. I do at all not see where I was and I quote "self-confident", "unjustified by my level of intelligence" or for that matter trying to be "superior". Agree 100% Humor is always good but sometimes it goes a bit too far. I really don't find the Hitler "joke" funny at all seen in the light of what kind of person he was and what he did to the Jews included IM’s forefathers.

Maybe I got different ears than you do But come on. Listen to the way their melodies are built up. MFG/Astral inspiration here I come and nothing wrong with that! But it can't be that hard to notice unless you stubbornly refuse anything but rosy red "we love them they are gods and NOONE ever sounded like them - they were the first psytrancers" views. Listen to the sounds they used. Classic sounds used in many other artists’ tracks at that time. I do not say the way they composed their tracks are copying - not at all. But the sounds they used especially on their first 2 albums was nothing new or groundbreaking (Their production was better than most though but that's another issue away from the musical aspect). As I said if you listen to other artists from the same period and prior to their debut you'll find many similar sounds in those artists’ tracks. It was THE SOUND of that time and IM was no exception! And by the way what's so bad about it? Everybody did it and still do it. I don't see why you diehard fans get so upset about it. It's common knowledge that most artists borrow from each other. IM included. I compare it to those who say Elvis invented the style of music he played. Yes he was extremely talented but if you start to dig into his History you’ll see he borrowed massive from the Black music at that time. Fact is he also copied other artists into his own style of music. Does that make you a pioneer? Some say yes. I say no. A true pioneer is the one people originally borrow from Ps! Now I have used way too much time debating about a band that's of no interest musically to me I still suggest you guys move on and dig into the huge amount of wonderful music this world has to offer

If you get the chance one day ask Erez where he got his inspiration from I remember playing with him on a few occasions in Israel just before they got big and he loved these bands. It also showed up in his music he played and made at that time and I am sorry but I can still hear a strong doze of these bands trademarks in the "classic" IM albums. Well listen to them again I find it quite funny (in a respectful way) that you diehard IM fans always claim that IM never copied anyone and that their music had nothing to do with anyone but IM.
