  1. My mate here thinks Clare's son is the smoke monster, which would make the smoke monster Jack's nephew, while I think the smoke monster is the island itself and in any case Hugo kicks arse and Jack and Kate (even though she's hot as, and then some) are so bland I'm glad they ain't having any lead role for now. I wish Sawyer had a more prominent role as he's always been the best character, with Locke, for me in the series. And am still wondering, as the black dude reappeared last night, what happened with his son; loadsa fuss was made at the beginning about him and his superpowers. Methinks that's going to be a loose end in the series.
  2. It's part of the deal I'm afraid. I do love a bit of cheese from time to time though.
  3. Check this guy out: http://www.myspace.com/enohgermany Boulder: TUNE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhX_LlM2Jg4
  4. I think both things require a very different skillset to accomplish; it is true that there's always an overlap but I know many a producer that can do one but not the other, or only to a limited extent, and swear that what they can't do (obviously) is the most difficult thing ever. Very subjective thing, and the good thing is that melodic music does not exclude purely rhythmic music ie you can like both just as easily. I for one do. Those that can do both, however, are on to something IMHO.
  5. no you dirty punk :D

  6. lick my warts

  7. This could also be of help: http://www.psymusic.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=1233371&postcount=31
  8. Alien Vampires also kick arse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xJCTqDr3r4
  9. Big decaying blunt snares are my current favorite SC is class, had the joy of seeing him last year in London. Serious business. How about Painbastard? This tune is awesome and it's inspired me more than once: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px8rwjh7O4Y
  10. That stuff is EBM or even Industrial, I wouldn't call it goth. Goa dips on those genres among others btw not the other way around. I love this tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33lKu_xDzgU Kinda ebm kinda industrial kinda noize kinda aggro, there are many related subgenres in there.
  11. He also has a lovely orchestral piece called Mont Saint Michel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMwiH9WF0ZQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CpJmR_Ur9c Even though the album cover is ghastly.
  12. Don't surprise yourself for enjoying some of the best quality music known to man Of a different breed but I think you might like would be Sibelius; my favorite being his 5th symphony - otherworldly. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLOig_N14Dg Not up to date on the more modern classical, or perhaps more accurately "orchestral", side of things. I'm a big fan of Oldfield's Music of the Spheres http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUh-KQV2_Ns
  13. In all honesty neither did I until someone pointed it out to me recently; good hunt
  14. If you can get hold of the original 5.1 ac3 file for the film, if available, the center channel often has the voices on their own.

  17. Check out Persona Isla, it's a netlabel: http://www.persona-isla.org One of my favorites is PIR04, Endógeno EP by Macroeconomics. The label does take IDM a bit too broadly but they do have really wicked stuff.
  18. How about that! Not a big Lost geek myself, however his accent is a good match to today's canarian accent. Not 100% similar, but close enough to be believable, hats off to the script writers. I always was of the impression that Ricardo had been in the island for far longer, however.
  19. His spanish is too good for the actor to have any sort of egyptian origins. He looks caribbean actually, I wonder where he's from.
  20. That episode was quality. What's wrong with being spanish
  21. Very nice dude, introspective and crazy. The cake is a lie, however!!
  22. I'm glad you guys enjoyed that. I'm biased, of course, but I believe it's a very solid compilation, Phototropic's best IMHO.
