    Fatali - Faith

i understand that some styles are better at different times during a party... but to say that smthg would make u puke at a party and then say that the same thing at home would transport u on a beach.... well sorry but i still don't agree... i have too music that i like more in parties than for home listenning... but if i can't stand smthg at a aprty i sure won't like it at home.... usually it's quite the opposite... music that i would not like so much at home i might like more at parties because it is really loud... as for the cosma thing i think it's just misleading for other people... i sure did not think of cosma once when listenning to this... it's much more formulaic than anything cosma did...

    Fatali - Faith

seraph that reminded u of cosma??? i don't agree.. cosma's music was much more emotional, less full-on.. this album by fatali is pretty good.. but one thing that bugs me is too many parts of tracks that don't have much link between them.. many trax sound like 4 trax put together... i mean he has talent for melodies and some parts are really good... but nowhere near cosma... not even in the same category imo... as for lemminwink's review.. oh well same as usual... u don't review the album by quality.. u only like smthg if it's the style u like.. "If i heard this on the dancefloor it would probably want to make me puke but listen to it at home with headphones, close your eyes and imagine you're on a beach in a tropical island sipping your cocktail and watching the girls walk by... it sure does it for me!!" man that doesn't sound to u like a big contradiction?? i mean how can u hate smthg at a party but then love it at home... i don't get it...
  3. i have logic 5.5 as a sequencer... then a bunch of plug-ins, main ones i use: -pro-53 -battery -ES2 synth from logic -absynth -waves for eq and some more and i have a nord lead 2, that i could be using more hehe
  4. omg... one of the worst track ever... wonder if i can even call this music...
  5. ok i have this pb for a while... when i have a bass note on the same beat as the kik they collide... like the kik won't be clear... how do i solve that.. i tried many different settings of eq, but nothing seems to work... i hear on some tracks that they have a bass note on the same beat sa the kik and it sounds fine.. so how should i eq so i don't have that pb?? ben
  6. i agree.. 520 is way too small... i use logic, but when i went from i went from 800 mghz to 2.8 it really helped a lot!!! so yeah buy a new processor... memory will help also...
  7. i need help on the topic of using compressors on the master channel. i read spindrift's take on it somewhere... he said u should not use a compressor on the master. i use logic, and if i don't put a compressor on the master channel, my levels go way to high. oh, and what compressors r good to use on the master?? if i really should not use compressors, what should i use on the master??
  8. yep i have the shidapu album...one of them anyway... can't remember the name.. but it's got "three bergfour", one of my favorite tracks... some other good tracks too
  9. ensign i know what u mean... can't stand those horrible vocals either.. they make me cringe.. btw don't expect to hear much IM in talpa... it's got some similar melodies, but not as good as infected. I got the last album and was pretty disappointed... i mean the guy is talented, no doubt, but people should stop comparing it to old infected mushroom.. same goes for misted muppet... there is nothing that sounds like the gathering or classical mushroom..
  10. tell ur friend to go to isratrance in the north america section... otherwise u have to be more specific as to where he is staying... i can help with san francisco cause i live there but dunno about other cities.. but i do know that people have posted similar request on isratrance b4... so check there for sure....
  11. inthebigblue... sounds like u need to go out and get some air... u are way too insulting to prove a point here... and yes i am starting to think that E.P is right: bruce is back!!!
  12. prog = freq - strange attractors chill-out = aes dana - memory shell
  13. just for ur info... there is another cd with the messenger on it... it's called space mantra... double cd comp with israeli artists.. it has got some nice tracks too ) anyway here is the link, but it's out of stock http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ease.asp?id=683 good luck searching ben
  14. radio was released on blue-room, and yeah u should really get it!! killer stuff!! their best album for me, really psychedelic... as far as irritant is concerned i didn't like it either... i mean it is crative, and some tracks are pretty good, but it gets boring.. i even saw them live playing this stuff and i could hardly dance...
  15. i agree... that track is just plain hideous!! i mean what the fuck is that?? what's next?? i wonder sometimes... they were probably having a bad day or smthg...
  16. i used to go to raves before in the US.. starting in 1999... then i saw a flyer for a party w/ infected mushroom... i thought mmm cool name, i should check it out... so i went and i loved the music, the atmosphere, the people, the decos... i had a blast... then i bought the gathering cd... and after that there was no turning back... been going to psy parties ever since...
  17. usually the albums that i have to listen to many times before i get them are albums with different styles, that explore new things... examples are some Infected mushroom albums, always sounds better the more u listen to it... and an other one was shpongle -tales of the inexpressible... took me a while to get into it, but now i love it... i think it's because those take a new approach, so it takes a while for our brains to process it, and also many times we tend to expect a particular style from certain artists (at least i do) and so it may take a while to "get it"... but i think every album is diferent in that sense, and like was said previously it depends on taste and varies from person to person...
  18. asian bud nation: i know how u feel cause i used to use reason for a while... i was getting some good sounds but not as fat as i wanted to.. then i got logic and let me tell u there is a big difference in sound.. even if u just use logic's synth and effects... so if i were u i would really get logic or cubase and give it a try, u won't be disappointed...
  19. most used synths in psytrance: -access virus -clavia nord lead (2 and 3) -waldorf Q -Roland jp 8000 -Korg ms2000 -old analog synths like juno 106, sh 101 there are more but can't remember them right now...
  20. i also read that article where liam said he used reason for a lot of stuffs... but of course he doesn't use reason as a sequencer... it becomes a whole different story if u export ur parts dry from reason to a good sequencer like protools imo... so yeah u can use reason to make tracks but i would advice to use it in complement to a better sequencer...
  21. "plays it safe" sums it up... like most releases these days... some tracks are nice but i got over the whole thing pretty fast... I still listen to the mechanical dream track but that's about it... don't expect anything close to his first album, otherwise u're in for a big disapointment...
  22. well from what i know few artists use reason as a sequencer... some use it to add to their cubase or logic setup... the main reason is the sound quality, the Eq, compressors which are not very good in reason... which doesn't mean u can't make a good track with it, but i would suggest u try logic or cubase and see for urself...
  23. he he... my bad i ment to say saw and not square waves...
