  1. I like all of Amon Tobin's stuff. But if you really nagged me about a specific album, I would have to say Foley Room. I especially like the song, Esther's.
  2. It's funny to say this but, if it wasn't for World of Warcraft, I wouldn't know what the hell psytrance is or any of it. Yeah, I listened to some poppy trance stuff but that was it. I played WoW for about 4 years. Eventually I wound up in a guild where one of the guild officers listened to psytrance and would play it on ventrillo before or after raids and stuff like that. And since I'm usually open-minded about music, I would end up listening to him on there for a good amount of time. Asking him what he was playing and stuff. So around 2007 I did a google search for "dark goa" (because, at the time, my friend called it that even thought most of the stuff I remember him playing was really psytrance or just plain goatrance). I think psynews must have been one of the first hits that came up, it definitely must have been on the first page because I sometimes have a low attention span. Came here and the rest is history pretty much. If anyone remembers, I even made a thread asking for more "dark goa" artists back around September of 2007, so about 2 years ago. So what would I be without psytrance? Well, for one thing, I wouldn't know about Shpongle! God, I'm so glad my friend led me to here indirectly. Well, kind of kidding about the Shpongle thing. But seriously, I like to think I have variety of music and if it weren't for psytrance and close relatives, I probably would be a moron or something. I certainly would be less perceptive to music, no doubt about that.
  3. Sorry guys. Shoulda noted the stuff. It's Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails. np:
  4. Räma sounds great. I wish you luck in your new project.
  5. Same here. Anyway, Amon Tobin is like a tingling on your brain while Venetian Snares is like a fucking smashing rhino on your brain. Way different sounds as far as I'm concerned.
  6. Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass album (Basically any album form his is good, imo.) Atmosphere's When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold album. Mos Def's The Ecstatic album. Swollen Members' Heavy, Black Magic, and Bad Dreams albums. Uhmm... maybe... Bushido's 7 and Heavy Metal Playback albums. (If you're into ze German hip-hop.) Anything by Alias (of Anticon) is really good, also. Sage Francis' Human The Death Dance album. His earlier albums are okay but I like this most recent one of his the best. I feel like I'm missing some really good ones right now that haven't been mentioned already but they're not coming to me.
  7. Dubstep, darkstep, or whatever sometimes makes me feel Much more so than psytrance for sure. Anywho, is there anything people are waiting for to be released soon? Just curious.
  8. Now would people consider ambient into the consideration when voting. I would think ambient would have a lot of floating music...

    V/A - Water

Listening to it right now. Good stuff. Edit: Woops, wrong thread.

    Yagya - Rigning

That would probably do it. Also, you may need to brush up on your observant skills.
  11. Who would I be without psytrance (and pienews)? Probably a little more duller than I am right now... In other words, I don't know.
  12. I think the cheese levels are about the same since the last two albums. imo
  13. What would be some examples of epic and floating music combined, though? The first song that comes to mind is The Queen Of All Everything by Ott...

    VA - Air

I could probably listen to Air and Water on repeat for at least a week.

Creation Of Tefnet is probably my favorite one. It's soooo good.
