Really well done Cinos Perhaps it's produced in a pretty simple manner, but who cares? This is good music because it's got very much feeling to it! I don't judge the quality of music after how "well produced" it is, but rather after what it makes me feel. And this track has a really nice feeling to it Sorry for sounding so ignorant, but I would rather listen to this than to Hallucinogen (the one everyone claims is so good but imo sucks), because this music makes me feel more than Hallucinogen does.

Yes I have also reacted to that about Phoenix and releasing on his own compilations. Especially about putting himself on "Best of DG". I didn't know he was the man behind Kayseri as well. However, I think both Kayseri and Phoenix have pretty decent tracks. Maybe they are simple and repetetive, but they have got feeling in them.

I've been listening to two tracks by some artist named Kayseri lately, "It's Alive" and "Ararat". "Ararat" is a nice repetetive track and "It's Alive" is a rather cool track. Looking up Kayseri on Discogs, only these two titles and one more, "Electric", are mentioned. All on DG compilations. I was just wondering, does anyone know who this artist is? Perhaps Kayseri just is some kind of alias? Where is Kayseri from?

I've got FL 5 now, but it seems so complex. Making beats seems easy, but it seems impossible to create those trance strings for example.

A similar topic has probably been posted before. Anyway, I want to get started with trying to produce some psytrance and I would like some suggestions on some decent software I could get for my computer. Tutorials to this software would also be nice. I also wonder if you think it's possible to produce "professional" psytrance tracks solely by using computer software, not involving any hardware syntherzisers or if hardware syntherzisers are essential in producing "real psytrance". Do you know of any artist who only uses computer software? Thanks, Zewu.

It's pretty much the opposite with me actually. I also haven't been listening to goa for too long but of the stuff I listen to, 99% was made before 1999. I just like the melody that I get in a lot of these tracks. Many new tracks are more incomprehensible to me, with their ever beating hi-hats just repeating the same short sequence over and over. Old tracks are like a journey, and each is one of its own. So now that you want some nice old goa, I will spell out three letters that do it for me: MFG.

The thing is not to be so desperate. I saw MFG - "The Prophecy" in a record store for 219SEK but decided to not get my hands on it right away even though I wanted it so much. Later on, I got a new copy of the exact same album for 80SEK. I have a policy of ususally not buying anything below 100SEK and it also has to be new. Now with the US Dollar being so remarkably low, I can find several classic albums matching these criteria. If you find a wanted album, don't get over excited and try to find it somewhere else. The first offer usually won't go away immediately. If you don't find a better offer, then re-evaluate and see if the purchase really is worth it, and if so, grab it

I want them as new originals. Don't you think there might be regular shops somewhere that might have some copies left though?

New year's day was an easy going day for me. As I awakened in my bed that day, tired and with a massive hangover from the evening and night before, I stretched for my mp3 player and played some tracks from it. I layed there just listening for about an hour. The good hangover tracks in my opinion are: 1. MFG - Peaceful Relaxation 2. Art of Trance - Madagascar 3. Talking Souls - Karma 209 The bad hangover tracks in my opinion are: 1. Tikal - Equinox 2. Power Source - Goaway Anyone who would like to make their own list or has got any comments?

I just love the bassline in this track!!!!!! So funky and at the same time psychedelic. Anyone who agrees?

I am Swedish but I voted for Israel. MFG, Power Source, Astral Projection, Chakra&Edi Mis, Xerox&Freeman, Sandman, Indoor among others are just so good. I've always liked melody a lot and I think that contributes to my choice. Also, Israel, to me seems to have more of a "psytrance culture" than any other country.

An obvious choice for me.........The best group of the whole psytrance scene in my opinion, MFG. Aharon Segal's & Guy Zukrel's melodies are just so touching.

I am looking for two pretty old albums: Planet B.E.N. - "Trippy Future Garden" and Power Source - "Cosmic Waves". I really want to buy these. I have searched on sites such as psyshop.com and trance-shop.com, without any success. Both albums appear to have been released on labels that are now dead, so no chance in finding them on some label's site either. Has anyone seen any of these albums available for sale online, or can you recommend other good online psytrance shops?

I just bought 9 Destination Goa albums: DG 3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11 and "best of" (I already had DG 1 and chapter 2 and 6 weren't in stock). Each album only cost 99 Swedish kronor each, which is about 14 USD or 10 Euro. Remember, all compilations (except chapter 1 which I didn't buy), are double CD compilations. So 2, unused CD's, for only 14 USD/10 Euro, that's a pretty good bargain, don't you think? The site I bought these albums through is www.megastore.se. They also have Astral Projection albums for 49 SEK (single CD albums) and 99 SEK (double CD albums). Unfortunately, they will only ship inside of Sweden. But if anyone here lives in Sweden or has got connections to here, who is looking for some cheap but quality psytrance CD's, I strongly want to recommend this site.

Ambient usually bores me out and that's why I usually don't like it, but there are exceptions. If I like ambient, it's more towards the tribal/ethno-kind of ambient. The best ambient I have heard is Tuu, Toirés, Open Canvas and Alien Soap Opera.
