  1. I brought from Pat. What a f*cking horrible person and trader. >_< I love you Pat, well I love your CDs. Good stuff, thanks heaps! =]
  2. Problem is anytime a artist returns they are basically hated because its not what they used to be. In this age its to be expected because nearly no one makes GOA. It took me a few listens but I like this CD, good full-on stuff. I got this before listening to much GOA, although I like GOA more its a diffrent thing altogether. Not psychedelic but hey thats cool because its really good full-on.
  3. Theres a few good tracks/moments but overall I wasnt that impressed. Coming from me thats kind of bad, I love full-on and even cheezy stuff but the CD as a whole didnt keep me going.
  4. Im not worried about people thinking I look like an idiot, its just I dont dance. Doesnt feel natural. The closest I will get is kinda swaying slightly side to side maybe bobbing my head to the beat o_O
  5. As the title suggests. I absolutly love trance, basically the only style of music I listen to weather its regular, hard, psy, goa & prog etc... Thing is, I dont dance. It just doesnt feel natural. I well like a complete retard just spazzing out, its not me. Only dancing I do is on DDR, haha. In a club/party you get people asking you if your OK since your not dancing, I go for the music. Should I learn to dance, can I even???
  6. kvr is indeed a usefull resource. The problem is so many VSTs, what suits you the best. If I could narrow it down to one, recommendations for GOA? Thats the most needed VST.
  7. http://www.psydj.com/ Just given to me from Fungus. NZ stuff, yay!
  8. Heyas, At the moment we have Tracktion 2. Brother and myself are learning just from playing around so far, we are getting somewhere ebut does anyone know of any tutorials to help us along? Other thing is VSTs. Is there any freebies that are good for trance, PSY, GOA and even breaks plus drum n bass? We have Fruitly Loops 7 aswell, better to learn from there and goto Tracktion? Thanks!
  9. Thanks buzzman, Ill check em out. Note I did say "closest" I had. Teisto trance was good back in late 90s, early 2000s. Majik compiliations. Armins State of Trance mixs are OK. But if you actually go buy there individual albums, they are horrible. I dont mind vocals, sometimes it fits into tracks really well but alot of the trance sesems to be going almost synth-pop in a way. Its disgusting. The sad fact is the artists make more money on the commercial BS so thats what they churn out. Looking at names like Armin, Teisto, Ferry Corsten etc. they started off with some great trance but over time the songs that sold determined their style. Its the damn masses people, the idiots who still call it "techno". Im one to rarely rant but it effected my music greatly so Im not happy.
  10. Interesting thread to read through. I moved into PSY because regular trance was gettings gayer and gayer. Full on is where I started as it was somewhat similar but also different. I like half of the Israeli stuff, Cosmic Tone & Vibe Tribe are two of my favs at the moment, full-on. Although I like some of the more psy-full-on like Alt-Ctrl or newer GOA Twist Dreams. Also enjoy the South African take on it too. Kind of going in reverse though and picking up alot of GOA from the 90's which most of it I find more enjoyable than the newer music. That was the same for regular trance, 90's and early 2000. Whats really some good dark PSY? Closest I have would be Pitch Hikers - Twlightzone which I actually really like. All in all, comes down to prefrence and mine includes full-on.
  11. Im in Auckland myself. I never have any idea of any rave/psy/goa/trance stuff going on here.... Help? I do know Welly has Fullom putting on events there.
  12. Havent heard the album but picked up Spiritual Healing on a comp. Blown away, its beautiful. Is there any other emotional GOA similar to this or PSY that has been released the last few years?
  13. Spam away! The little Hard Trance/Dance I do have it like K90, Steve Hill, Technikal, Masif DJ's stuff like that. Rave I never found out about but would love to get into aswell. If you download music, search of Blue Blazes - Maximum Tune. Sound track from a game but I just want to see if thats your style at all. Hard when none of my friends like trance.
  14. I know a little from reading around on here and the few comps I do have: Retrodelic Vibes 1,2&3. World of GOA 1,2,3&4 Best of Destination GOA Hey Daniël. All my trance is mainly from late 90s to early 00s. terra ferma - the adventures of... & keep moving which I have on on of my Gatecrasher CDs, those blew me away. Along with P.O.S. & Art of Trance & Union Jack etc I got a comp best of Platipus, good stuff. I actually have a fair amount of trance, just its hard to find new releases. Armins State of Trance CDs are alright but not as moving as the older stuff. Ill check out some of those names later on, some I already know and are great. Guess thats why I enjoy more full on and cheezy psy trance as Im inbetween genres. Cosmic Tone - Singlarity to me is great stuff but most here wouldnt really be into it as much. Although I still like more traditional stuff like MFG, ALT CTRL & Space Buddha. Even SA psy trance. Hard trance is even harder to find yet, also good DnB and breaks.
  15. Im looking at basically anything I can get which wont cost the world. CDs and artists which you guys still refer to today and made GOA what it was. From this year theres the "Transwave - Backfire" & "Dimension 5 - Transdimensional". I saw from 2005 I think "GMS - Chaos Laboratory" and 2006 "Best of X-Dream '91-'01" From looking through eBay I saw Im still able to pick up old CDs from Astral Project, is there any title you would recommend over the others? From a quick browse around I noticed alot of names and CDs that are at fairly good prices and am looking forward to picking up but any recommendations of artists/CDs would be greatly appreciated as Im still new to the GOA area and it blows me away how brilliant it is yet is rarely made now-a-days. It would be great if from comps like Twist Dreams they realise there is still a big following and more is produced like Filterias last release. Also reminds me I have to pick up Cosmosis as I heard that has the old style in there. Thanks in advance for any help. Now if only I could find regular trance that wasnt so gay.
  16. Off the compilation I got Trancendental Journey on YSE, they had a V/S track Termal Twist. I wanted to know is this the style of what the rest of here music sounds like? Im not really into the progressive scene but if thats what the rest of the tracks are like, that style Im going to have to get there CD. I know I could listen to the tracks on Saiko but since Im on a crap connection its hard to judge when the songs have to buffer every 10 seconds.
  17. Sorry for bringing more of these topics up, Ive been out of the loop for awhile and was lokoing to buy a few releases but wanted to know what I can get thats my style of music I love. Ive only brought a few comps this year but was looking at artists CDs and again from this year only. I know everyone loves to pitch in and recommend what they love but Ill list a few things of what Im into and see what goes from there. GOA - Any (also from any years). I have the Retrodelic Vibe CDs, World of GOA and some newer stuff like Twist Dreams so whats to get here? Transwave and Dimension 5. Any other re-releases or best ofs etc to get? Like is X-Dreams one good stuff? Cosmosis sounds like a one to grab too. Full-On - I brought Trancendental Journey & High Times (YSE) but single artists again, this year only? Music I really love is Cosmic Tone - I Volume, Vibe Tribe - Memories & Albert Balbert. From Anything with lots of movie rips too like Orgonflow - We Are Clones. 2006 I have CDs like Melicia, Pleidians, MFG & Sesto Sento etc. Im a fan of regular trance too so I love that stuff. So could anyone enlighten me in this section? Thanks in advance and again sorry for this topic and I know theres best of 2007s topics already!
  18. You talking about re-releases or new stuff like Filteria? BTW - is there many other artists like Filteria at all?
  19. CDs are all NM. CDs are in as new condition as with the casing and inserts etc. Insomnia - Taking Control Atma - Beyond Good & Evil Domestic - Art Making Machine Phatmatix - Sorcery Ibojima - Morning Glory Optokoppler - Bug Fix Im look at about €8 each? (Maybe a copy of "Pleiadians - 7even Sister7" but not sure on that yet) Also have these which Ill take best offer for: Clubbers Guide to GOA Trance Best of Destination GOA So yeah. PM if your interested in any of em or cost of shipping. Not to many things I want but would trade for any of the Retrodelic Vibes if its in NM condition.
  20. The 90's GOA style, why? I know alot of people on these boards love the old school stuff and even newer things like how everyone went crazy for Filterias album. So why exactly is it dead if theres still a following and popularity amongst todays Psy fans? Even people like me who missed it and picked it up last year am totaly fascinated.
  21. Ima going to bum in on this thread. My brother just got Tracktion and I really wanted to start making trance (goa, psy) while he starts on breaks and drum n bass. For the trance part, is there anywhere useful that helps you start if your a complete beginner? What sounds you should be using, certain layouts and how do add in, break down, built up or whatever you want to say your average trane tune would contain? Not for the program itself, just trance music in general. Thanks in advance if anyone is able to helpout!
  22. I noticed alot of the names you guys mentioned are on my Best of Destination GOA CD. So I want anything old + goa! Do any other labels like Suntrip (Filteria) have similar styles compared to the old stuff? Was Psygone a big name back then?
  23. Found the stragglers I was after: Atma - Beyond Good & Evil Digicult - Avenida De Belgica Domestic - Art Making Machine Full On makes me happy in my pants
