snowball
Where to buy cds from: Artist like ,steve roach, robert rich, namlook, vidna obmana, tetsu inoue,FSOL,etc etc... Artists that dont necessarily fall under the "psy" ombrella(psyshop-saiko sounds) Not just those artists, all the artists that make ambient, are quite old in the scene, and are not so "psy". Check the "chillout magic" topic as a reference
Time_Trap
www.steveroach.com seems like a nice store. you can usually buy most of the stuff at artist's pages.. or find links to where to buy it.
Guest Astro Cortex
Searching for stuff at amazon and eBay is what I do mostly. + what Nick said. Many atists and labels have decent, reliable online stores. A Paypal account is very useful in most cases.
snowball
Thanks everybody. I was hoping I could find them in online stores, that use a credit card(steveroach.com accepts them yay!! ).....I dont want to get in the process of opening a paypal account again. (i opened one some millenia ago,but I dont remember shit about it ) well if anyone knows a shop (like saiko or psyshop) that specialises in ambient/chill (or that just has A LOT of them),let me know. Shaft
I use Amazon for my 'other' chillout purchases - FSOL etc, but it's best just to look at a shop's stock and see what they have... I recently signed up with Juno.co.uk to get the new Ochre album, I've bought from small shops, even small online distribution/labels like Sending Orbs... But normally I'll use Psyshop, Saikosounds, Amazon or I'll go down to my local records store on impulse.

They ship books but they used to have restrictions on electronic stuff(cds included).Maybe with the whole europe circus they dropped them. Anw,any other sites ppl??? Lots of artists out there.Havent found nearly as many shops as I would like to.DOnt want to resort to e-bay and the sorts just yet... JackCheese

Bahamut
Groove.nl is a good online store, I bought some discs there myself. The owner is a musician called Ron Boots. I've heard some of his stuff and he's pretty good...though it's not really my style. They have a sort of community forum at www.emforum.nl (in english) about electronic music and ambient which has some interesting topics sometimes. The visitors there are a totally different crowd. Mostly middle aged guys who were already fans of electronic music in the 70s and like to listen to what they call 'EM' (which is basicly all the 'classic' electronic music artists and their countless immitators), but also ambient. alleycat
www.wirikuta.at has some strange "dark" ambient, sorta industrial stuff.
