After some listening, I can say that The Prophecy is way better than Project Genesis. The latter is very "general" if you ask me.
-
I just bought two of their CDs. Project Genesis and The Prophecy, Symbiosis release (better than the other release). Good stuff.
-
However, this does not seem to be the psytrance Hux Flux... more like rock. VERY rock.
Oh well... I thought I had some rare Hux Flux release here. At least i didn't pay more than 4 bucks for it. Say hello to mr. trash can, CD.

I just did before you posted.
Here's more:
Released on "Mescal", a division of "Amigo".

OK, It's from 93. I'm guessing it's a very rare and/or local release, since all the "copyright" texts are in Swedish. If you want samples, I'll provide them...

About Yahel for example: I've seen him DJ twice and to me it seemed that he was really enjoing his music. Ok, this was three years ago (I guess when his third album was released), maybe it has changed now. But just because he is now making Trance instead of Psy does not automatically mean it's just for the money. There are people making trance for the love of the music, even if the psy people very dislike trance and think they are somehow elitaire to commercial trance.
Here is the end of my argumentation skills. I can't really counter that, so I guess... you're right.
But if they really like that music I can't understand them at all.

It's definetly in Hallucinogen's Trancespotter.. when that hacky voice comes for the second time, the hihats enter... everything is so tight... and the BOOM! Screaming evil dark melody!
-
Impossible... but then again people on tranceaddict identified Robert Miles' Children when I "hummed" the melody with text like this:
Digidigiding... ding, ding di-ding...

And here we go again: another artist bashing thread... I thought that this forum was over the Yahel bashing (I remember a time maybe about three years ago when there where a lot of threads about how bad yahel is), but seems like I was mistaking. It's funny how the oh so open-minded goa people use every chance to blame artists (be it IM or Yahel or GMS or Skazi) for all the grievances in the scene. They just make music after all, it is us people who label them psy and book them for the parties.
It's a bit off topic but I don't think that the artists are to blame for the things that go wrong in the scene (or at least not the artists alone, they are just one part of the scene). Of course there are copycats around making boring music. But the scene is getting bigger and bigger and also more commercial. Nearly every organisator wants to make as much money possible and make bigger parties. No wonder there are also people with a behaviour that doesn't reflect our spirit. I mean the more advertisement is made, the more "unpsy" people comme to our parties. Psy is no longer underground, it's accesable for everyone. It even gets really trendy. If you dislike that the only thing is to make your own small underground parties.
It's still not defendable to produce crap only for money. Not under any circumstances. I (and most everybody) have nothing against psy becoming popular, as long as the music doesn't turn cheesy.

Yahel never was good. But then again, he wasn't full-on horrible either...

Yup. Tracklist HERE.
It's IMO really the best goa compliation ever. The second one is good too, but doesn't include as many true classics as this... everybody should have this one. Do you agree with me for once?

Hallucinogen. You say he doesn't change his style.
Shamanix - Trancespotter - Mi-Loony-Um.
Say again?
-
98, I think the best psy release, and at the same time best release in any genre, ever, was released then.
-
It's exactly the same style, except no low-tempo tracks.
Would anybody agree if I said MWNN is not pure goa, but some kind of hybrid between it and epic trance?
-
What about Space Juice? And Reincarnation!
BTW MWNN didn't change much over the years??? I found he changed considerably with his latest stuff, there are almost NO melodies as all and whenever they do kick in they last less than a minute... as oposed to his older stuff which was basically 3, 4 or 5 melodies intermingled with eachother...
But it's always the same made-famous-in-teleport "dub dub dubbetydubdub dub". It sounds all the same to me.

BP Empire <- Very freaking good! In my top 10.
The Gathering

That's the kind of stuff that makes me embarrassed to listen to the music.
