Anyway, the Orb never did it for me. The KLF I haven't listened to. Yet.

Future Sound of London and The Orb are WAY better of utilizing various samples IMO. Also, The KLF's "Chill-out" and Woob - Em.T 1194 are prime examples of how samples should be used.

It's very mediocre... I listened to it for a few days, and then back to better music. Acceptable tracks: HTC, Frog Machine, Ratio Schamtio and Stretched.

Those Enth albums seem intresting... but come on, Aes Dana is mediocre.

 

Also - a question: I've heard a couple of Shulman tracks, and it seriously sounds like he's ripping Shpongle off. Similar drum patterns, similar flutes, similar everything. Not to mention the names... Shulman and Shpongle. Rather alike.

 

Is there any truth to this?

I got it on rep alone and must admit I don't listen to either cd (on the double cd) at all. Just too dam ambient. I like my chill out to have pulse and not just be and endless voyage of bleeps and chirps. Wish I hadn't go it.

I like both sorts... this one makes me feel dizzy, the other kind relaxes me. But don't get rid of it, you'll regret it later. Let it grow on you.

X-Dream is WAY overrated, at least the Irritant album. It sucked, simply enough.

Hallucinogen is a BIT overrated, but not much. (trancespotter! )

 

Shpongle are gods, and the ones of you who don't agree are crazy. Nothing compares to them!
