    I'm confused... but no, all scandinavians don't come from the same race. At least not if you count finlanders as scandinavians. And imagine Sweden and/or Russia wanted Finland to be part of their land again... bad idea.

    The only problem now is that over the years I have spent so much time collecting mainstream trance and have hundreds of albums of Eurotrance, progressive house, dream trance, progressive trance, etc.  Now that I've gotten a taste of psy I can't go back to listen to those much anymore!  I find them too boring!!!!

    brazillian carnival thingie? in which track?

     

    AFAIK the only track with brazillian carnival thingie is Star Sphongled Banner, more towards the end...

    I can't really hear anything pretentious about Shpongle. All the melodies are subtle and mature if you ask me. Sometimes funny, but never pretentious or naive.

     

    Listen to Day Turned To Night for example, and try to tell me it's naive and/or pretentious.

    hey ppl.one question plz...WHY the fuck do u speak of this silly "psyambient" style that shpongle made before 5-6 years?.? blue tech + entheogenic + shulman [ex-luminus? right?] is the same thing and reproduces the same "ethnik+chillum" feeling...why dont u buy something more unique?

    It's not that I have not heard his music.

    But really, you can't say that the Hallucinogen stuff is that great melodically.

    And the melodies in much of the spongle tracks come across to me as naive and pretentious at the same time.

    Thats not a very sucessful combination in my taste, if fact it's almost painful to listen to some spongle for me.

    Pretentious! And you CAN listen to classical? There is nothing more pompous and pretentious than classical!

     

    I guess we have different tastes... but I can't imagine how anybody could find listening to Shpongle "painful". More like "blissful".

    genius in melodic lines were (!) the maestros pleiadians!! their complex melodies is far superior of simon's ! Simon is more of an pioneer into experimenting with new stuffs/blending styles, awesome electronic engineering,  etc. genius!

    but does anyone have the tracklist? No offense, but if this is one of those cheap tricks to raise quick money by putting old tracks on a CD and guilt-tricking people into buying it because"it's for the good cause" then I'm giving it a thumbs down and will prefer continuating to donate money to charity organisations... it just makes more sense...

    I must admit that I havent heard Entheogenic before (exept on di.fm here and there) So if what banjankri sais about Entheogenic is true, I would go for Entheogenic. But but but... Shulman is not an artist that you should miss out on. As I mentioned, the second album is very Shpongly ;)

    Why dont you go to www.trance.net and read the reviews of the albums that you desire?

    Entheogenic for sure. I haven't heard Shulman, but Bluetech is boring full-on. Entheogenic is beautifully produced and written highly psychedelic music, almost toward the chill-out end of the spectrum...
