  1. And OOOD - a live (1996) in Hq 320 ?
  2. Indeed, that's a good perspective, I'll check releases that are attached to my favorite Goa parties I visited (memories) True, but Statistics have to be a valids as possible, otherwise it's useless. But I do get your point! sorry for the off topic btw...
  3. Off course, but they were NOT playing. I never said it was necessary. You should give me an argument where/when they were playing and it did not explode (enough) considering that certain time of period Pffffffffffffff This goes on & on . Why God? Why? You know what, forget it Peace!
  4. So when Infected mushroom came to Belgium in 2000 If I remember correctly, the entire festival exploded. So that was often not the deal in other countries? Then I must have met the wrong people while partying in Belgium and abroad. We do live in another universe like you said .
  5. Off course, A situation like that is possible that Space tribe had certain moments more gigs then Astral projection. I will not debate the fact that you once/or more checked his agenda, or talked about it. But I doubt his agenda was online like for 5 years. And maybe the impact when it comes to international marketing Goatrance being released and then entering the scene had a bigger global impact! Look at huge bands like Metallica. Probably > 50% people my age have releases of them. But how many have seen them Live? And ok, you don't like Infected mushroom, but we all know the majority loved them starting from 1997 until at least 2000. You cannot ignore such a fact! Like I said before in a previous topic where you also posted. 'Your taste is not a general measure" Having a go? Waiting for or? I'm listening to it right now and the first impression seems ok.
  6. Off course, it's also advertising, but that does not mean, if had no certain effect on people's general taste On the contrary, it must have had it's effect, it's adverting! You said it yourself Parallel universe? I like Space tribe more then Astral projection. Especially like you mentioned the 1998 album The Future's Right Now. Track 5 is in my signature Yeah, like Infected Mushroom got it's credit by promotion. I don't listen to them anymore but they were good, everybody loved their first albums back then.
  7. Look what I found! http://www.psynews.o...__fromsearch__1
  8. Indeed, if you check compilations from that period How many times Astral projection tracks are presented compared to Space tribe tracks, And Space tribe released as much as Astral projection.
  9. You should PM this kind of stuff, I was reading this topic to debate darkpsy, not your drama! Respect! From all sub genres I like dark the least, but you are right. Sometimes It is what It is apparently....
  10. This topic has become very long and interesting I'll edit, But with the quote above I totally disagree, Why should he be a purist? I'm 100% sure many others were there too and are not, maybe think totally otherwise It's that kind of stereotyping that often give people the illusion their vision is a general truth! With all do respect Procyon And as far as I know, Goa started as ambient, sounds they used in psychedelic rock, that were combined in a pattern. Later they tried a trance baseline and Goatrance was born! Correct me If I'm wrong! EDIT: I have to agree with Elysium that we cannot ignore the fact that 'names and categories' are often different / country.
  11. I did mention patience, like I said before, this new (fresh) comeback of Goatrance maybe needs some time and the more talent, the better imo! Maybe the foundation of a huge return has just started, and without a doubt, it starts with existing pattern and melodies. As a fan of goatrance I won't deny that. But think about it. Compare other music genres and their evolution. Psy had done a GREAT job in 15 years. This speed of renewal was maybe impossible to retain. Indeed, if someone stopped listening to Goatrance like 5 years ago for example cause it became boring/repetitive, those new releases will be still boring to him or hear ears.
  12. You are asking to erase the past? What was called Goatrance back in 1998, is still Goatrance. The difference is so simple. You post you were there as a dj! Then you had to notice the change of pattern from Goatrance to Psychedelic trance. It was so obvious. People complained, others loved it, some even left! It is impossible to deny imo. EDIT Is this yours? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf5kdWEBP5k
  13. I think for a starter to me it is just goatrance. There is no such thing as Neogoa. But if you like to call goatrance produced > 2005 Neogoa, that's fine be me! I even added the word to my browsers dictionary, that should be enough Goatrance stopped evolving as a mainstream around 2001 when psychedelic trance took over and then came fullon blablabla... We had maybe 1 or 2 releases like ethereal, Ypsilon 5 a year. Now this sub genre is back more then ever. But you should give it some time! I think it's normal when a sub genre sort of 'rises' back the first thing people will do is seek the patterns that they know and had the most success. Not all existing Goatrance patterns have been used in what you call Neogoa. Until now the specific pattern that we like to call 'morning trance' is almost the genera,l if no,t the only one that has been used. I'm pretty sure new artist will search other existing directions/patterns in Goatrance, combine them, or let's hope, create some new ones. Don't get me wrong, I understand your opinion. But when you look at goatrance before the millennium. Not all good albums were released in 1 year. It took almost a decade. To create such a variated collection of Goatrance. So have patience, I know it sucks There is also a certain truth in this statement. I don't agree 100%, but it is an important variable, when it comes to experiencing music!
  14. Have you tried Ubar - Tmar ? The chaos in the melodies is very familiar.
  15. Have you checked Minimal Criminal - Minimus Maleficarum? Your description reminds me a lot of certain samples used in that release.
  16. Indeed that is what I like most about goatrance parties. A dj in the corner doing his thing and the people dancing with each others. Not like techno parties I visited where everybody is staring @ Dave clarke who is on a podium 10m above ground. Then again, the bigger the crowd, the harder it is to avoid the second concept. People will always search for symbols, figures to look up to. To idolize and compare themselves. I never had that with music. I don't care if infected mushroom wears black or white underwear. Simple as that! But I don't judge those who do care. If that's their way of experiencing music. That's fine be my, as long as they respect mine!
  17. From my perspective it's impossible, I respect the effort of users trying, but i'm giving up It's to many Only Down tempo is feasible...
