I think some of you guys should not take music that personal (individual) when it comes to analyzing others! Your current taste is no general measure and it will never be! For example: I for once, have been a huge music fan since I was 13 (started collecting). Many genres, sub genres have crossed my way in this long journey and it has been a great experience. It started with some punk, metal when I was 13, in 1998 Goatrance came along and so on and on, on, etc... Now I'm 28 I can honestly say. I listen to good music! Why? Because I invested, showed effort listening, analyzing etc... And after many years that music good music includes... Metal, includes black metal, epic metal, doom metal... Rock in general Dub, reggae, Ska, Ska-punk,... Goatrance, psychedelic trance, progressive trance... Techno, electro, acid, house... Jazz, blues... even classical music I'll stop, the list is longer. But I have never claimed that one genre is the best! With The result that it is impossible to blame that other genre's are not. I've noticed along my journey how many times people listen to a sub genre, they discover something new, and suddenly their older sub genre is not ok anymore? I don't get that. I still enjoy my first punk cd's, and I like some metal too once and a while although I like goatrance more. I can understand you get bored with some genres but I repeat "Your current taste is no general measure and it will never be!" It's a worldwide problem that people always feel the need, when they discover a certain religion, taste, ideology. They study it so much and they become so convinced that this choice is the best. They become irritated when someone criticizes their choice. And that's an easy way of thinking imo. I just have found pattern A, and pattern A it is. But discovering pattern A and still respecting pattern B and together with that realizing that pattern C also can exist is ten times harder. Don't forget, Music is a psychological instrument, a tool, that is created to serve YOU, not otherwise!

I've red your post, I can follow your line of thinking with empathy. It is not totally how I see it, but you have brought it in more detail and now I understand more why. Good answer! I still have to check the rebirth release, so I'll try to edit if I don't forget -
+1 And that's a statement that counts for all music imo. Even Morning fullon. If people like it, it's their freedom of taste! After all, isn't that what music is all about?

Not bad, I should check it again!

The effects were great, the story is mediocre!

Indeed this music is for free on the internet because It's has become impossible to buy it at a qualified store or internet shop Even the California sunshine release are all old tracks. I'm curious what will be difference between the original releases back then and the 320 downloads. Edit: Google just gives me invalid links until now. I'm using a torrent, if it's free, then there is no problem, this is legal sharing! Edit again: It's fullon! I'll give it a try! -
Google: check this out (there are subtitles) If I search for something, and you search for something at the very same time, We may get very different results! There is no standard Google anymore? Think about it, for a second! http://www.ted.com/t...er_bubbles.html Download video, if shockwave player crashes! What is your idea?

That I understand, But people do not spend > 2000 euro's on a home sound system to play 128 imo. -
Great, I've had social economics in the past, glad that's over
-
That is not my opinion, but based on a database of releases and reviews. More a general truth imo.
-
It's not mass production, this is basic economics! Especially when it is handicraft.
-
If there are people who want to pay such an amount of money for art, then imo why not. Art has always been very pricey, if you watch the news how much money there is spent on paintings that I'm thinking, damn that's ugly. It's their money, and their call.
-
Indeed, But from my perspective 'What is Dark' will always be influenced by the fact 'Where do we come from?'. Melodic goatrance in the early 90's. Then. Kindzadza is dark imo.

sorry, I did not know we had a representative database On topic. Miranda's older stuff is not bad, When Northern lights was released in 1999, it was good, but imo not overwhelming! So I'm not surprised that her new stuff is not that amazing.

It's seems this topic is more about 'what is your personal definition of dark psytrance. I did not read all of it, but this my experience. We had some pioneer artist who created a dark goatrance atmosphere like Darshan, Sandman, Cydonia. But that's not Dark psytrance. Even Xenomorph - Trip Horror single 1997 is still Dark Goatrance to me. Cassandra's Nightmare (1998) is more like it but still. The same for X-dream. Then around the millennium some Psytek, others called it psychedelic techno like the Delta, midi miliz ect... came around and I experienced for the first time that as Dark Trance. Not only the Atmosphere was dark but this was underground basement trance. The production was obvious meant to be dark! A very dark baseline combined with not overloaded sound. Back then progressive did a better job when it came to a dark atmosphere imo. But that's pure taste, and a bit off topic. I took me until 2004, when I first heard Kindzadza debut release that I noticed how Dark psychedelic trance evolved huge and created a larger psychedelic pattern. Although I'm not into dark psychedelic trance I have to admit they make some perfect psychedelic stuff that no melodic goatrance artist ever obtained. The fact is that it's pure psychedelic. Meaning that the accent or emphasis is 100% based on how psychedelic can we go! Sometimes it is, what it is!

Indeed exotic, this one is GREAT!
