  1. WOW! YES!!!!!!!! This is it. I owe you a beer. Thank you so much.
  2. Uploading to my dropbox now, I'll post a link in a few minutes.
  3. Thanks for the tip. I just did.
  4. I was listening to the large, dark, cinematic sounds of some older Tech-Trance while rolling about with my wife, and I really wanted a solid mix of a certain sound quality found in The Delta, Spirallianz, X-Dream, and Koxbox. So I headed to my gear and mixed something for my own pleasure. I mentioned this in another thread, and Starkraver mentioned posting in here.... So here it is. (Mixcloud Link) Deep Trance
  5. The track has a really nice, aggressive bassline. It begins with this distorted voice sample saying words... spaced apart, and when the voice says "anger" the track really starts. I know it's not much, but I can't remember the name and I do not have the track.
  6. Mixing "Deep Trance II" for the car. Like "Deep Trance", it's all X-dreamy, Delta-y, Spiralliany, Koxboxy, and Menisy. Since my recent... um... excursions into the realm of melty goodness, I've been re-addicted to that massive, cinematic, tech-trance sound.
  7. Yeah, it gets harder and harder to fight my anarchistic tendencies when crap like that happens.
  8. I think you'll appreciate a lot of Chopin's music. The Ballades, in particular, are all beautiful. The Scherzos are more frenetic. Ballade 1 in G minor : Ballade 3 in A flat : And here's Scherzo 3 in C# minor :
  9. I have a touch of OCD which really comes out when I'm mixing music. The mix must be perfect else I'm annoyed. The (light) OCD also comes to personal hygiene, and keeping an orderly environment. I am also a borderline schizoid, which isn't as bad as it sounds. I'm just detached from a lot of minutia and view everything a bit more coldly than most people.
  10. Not an insult, just a very different style. Here's a very fine Waltz by Chopin. You'll notice a different sensibility to his music. And this piece here, the 4th ballade in F minor, is my personal favorite out of all of Chopin's works
  11. Clayton Bigsby killed my sides when I first saw that skit.
  12. If you like Satie, you'd probably enjoy some of the piano works by Ravel : Also, Alkan wrote some beautiful music, a bit Chopinesque, but technically closer to Liszt in difficulty.
  13. I agree 8) Indeed. You should really explore the Spirallianz sound while your ears are enhanced. There is some masterful work they have produced.
  14. Hello. I'm an American who has spent a very large portion of my life in Japan. I was interested in Industrial music in the late 80's, and early 90's, and then was invited to this big ambient event on Izu. I had been into psychedelia for years, but nothing prepared me for meeting my "tribe". Discovered Goa in 94, and never fully recovered. I am a collector of good music, my classical CD collection being the largest, with Psytrance/Psybient/etc slowly climbing to the #1 spot. I've been collecting Goa trance since the end of 94. Recently, I was in a very good mood, and was listening to older X-Dream, Delta, and Spirallianz and have become completely addicted to that sound, once again. Anyways, I'm in a good mood now
  15. Those initial two tracks by him on Balagan Symbiosis are still powerful today. Sandman has some wicked skill. Also, OOOD, Koxbox, Eat Static, X-Dream, The Delta, & Spirallianz.
  16. Tsuyoshi always blew my mind.
  17. I only buy digital if it is the only option. I like the entire package : liner notes, artwork, and a physical CD I can keep on a shelf.
  18. Etnica's Kumba Mela has an excellent melody.
