Nicely said, but we also DO need young blood in this scene. I sometimes feel like some of the dinosaurs of the scene are doing just the same as you describe what the newbies are doing. I think this is about "having a status/being a star" thing.... I dont know, ive been in this scene for quiete some while, and I see people come and go. Some I am very happy that they still are doing the same thing as 15 years ago, and some of them should just retire and let some space for the newcommers. All newcommers dont have bad ideas, and all of them dont NEED to learn what to do, some of them are naturals, and they need to be fed from the beginning with inspiration and with respect. If we dont take care of these so called naturals, they will just end up being as arrogant, as the people in the scene we so much dislike. Worth a thought I think, or not?!

You have not seen UNDER my desk, its cable hell there!!! but thats going to be fixed very soon, as I am building a new desk. Well, im gonna use the same board as I am using now, but the legs underneath are going to be removed, and I am going to build a nice wooden box. I will then sink the mixer into the table (make a hole for it hehe). I think I will do all this when I move away from here though, it might be just a little bit too much work and hassle to take with me to another country

I can second that. I got booked to the More here in Amsterdam, but he wanted to put me in the chillout room. Now, Jos, Kris and Mars, can you tell me (because youve heard my music) IS my music chillout? I declined the booking actually, because I think its an insult to me as an artist. My tracks are almost ALL 142-143 BPM, 2 of them are 137. Full with melodies, and full with 303's..... CHILL OUT MY A**

A mixture of all of them. The scene also has grown bigger since this all started. Before almost always the local djs played at parties, now its 4 big names and 2 local djs. Eventhough the local djs are very good, almos always better than the bigname djs.... This is a neverending story though, and like in any musicgenre, we have bad sides and good sides. My suggestion is that WE the people that HAVE the opinion that something is screwed in our beloved scene start to WORK TOGETHER. Im well up for new collaborations, new ideas and to create a new global team, that can kick the current teams ass.
