my favorite used to be Astral, then it was Pleiadians, then Filteria, now Talpa what can you recommend ?

let me give an example Hyperion - Sunflower this is an awesome track yet who the fuck is hyperion ? it doesnt matter, point is there are tracks like this that you will never know about if u ask your friends what are good ARTISTS as opposed to tracks. another artist i want to mention that is not known but has QUALITY shit is "liquid metal" ... he put out some great tracks back in the day but only has a few of them so is not well known, its a shame

I think his album is the only one from 2005 that i found actually innovative. i've been actively listening to psytrance since '99, i listen to all kinds of psytrance from melodic like Chi AD to minimal like XV Kilist ... but if somebody asked me today what psytrance is i would probably have them listen to Psyring Test

a lot of people mention Astrix and Skazi ... ... but what really kills psytrance is INFECTED MUSHROOM.

the fact of the matter is, music is produced and mastered on monitors, not headphones .. therefore the only right way to play it back is also on monitors. besides, i hear some people are using a subwoofer with K1000s ... so what is the point, if you gona wake the neighbors anyway ?

thank you ! there are no perfect headphones. even the best ones like Sennhesier Orpheus, Stax Omega 2 and AKG K1000 take second place to good studio monitors like ATC.

well the K1000 are nice headphones ... but no headphones can match good studio monitors. i use JBL LSR 6325 P my 400 Watt RMS JBL subwoofer i want to upgrade to a Velodyne HGS-X15 my source is E-MU 1212M sound card, and i use HOSA for cables.

i want to make some music. last time i tried this years ago i could not make sense of cubase =) anyway im trying to download cubase and reason. what else do i need ? i have fast computer, good soundcard and speakers but no money to spend on synths or anything like that - it all has to be 100% software. help

well the sample's quality is horrible but i see their sound keeps evolving in the same direction - more and more laid back and transparent - which is good. if they take this sound and deliver it with the kind of production quality they normally have i will be happy. because psy is after all mostly about sound and not music.
