  1. Here's the thing with Americans. We have really shitty attention spans. We love what's hot at the moment and then we love what's hot the next moment. With electronic music, it doesn't quite fit into our culture the same way it does around the world. Our country is quite new, and we don't really have our own history or sense of community. "Good" electronic music is partially because of the communities that surround it. There are a lot of electronic acts out there worldwide that are popular that I think are no good, but they get their fans because of the community that is created around their music. Here in the states, we don't have that kind of community in the same way. It's all about going big or going home. And what Dolmot said. - Slice Two
  2. Slice Two is a teacher and Slice One works in the music biz. Slice Two used to work in the music biz, but he hated it, so he went back and got his masters in education.
  3. I like what you're saying. to be honest I (Slice Two, the one who made the voting list) am way more into the psydub and downtempo stuff than psytrance or goa. Since there are so few downtempo/dub tracks to choose from, and I honestly love what we created, why shouldn't I be allowed to vote for it? There's no rule that says we can't vote for our tracks, and I really do like ours the best out of all 60. Our motto has always been "write the music we want to hear and then let people decide if it suits them." Well, we wrote a song we wanted to hear, and we wrote it specifically for this contest from start to finish, so why shouldn't I think it's awesome? Maybe that sounds pretentious, but on the other hand, why write a track if you don't think it kicks massive ass?
  4. So are you saying we shouldn't vote for ourselves? I don't understand. If you're a producer, don't you want to be writing the stuff that you think is ridiculously awesome? I don't see any reason to not really appreciate and enjoy your own work. Why enter a contest if you don't think you deserve your own vote?

  6. We are happy to annouce our collaboration EP with the awesome Globular! Get "Sorbet for the Soul" free from http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/radioactive-sandwich-globular-sorbet-for-the-soul Enjoy! 01 - Globular - Lemon (97 BPM) 02 - Radioactive Sandwich - Lengo (97 BPM) 03 - Radioactive Sandwich - Mango (95 BPM) 04 - Globular - Mamon (91 BPM) Sorbet For The Soul is a collaboration between Globular (U.K.) and Radioactive Sandwich (U.S.A.), two of Omnitropic‘s hottest downtempo and psychedelic dub acts. This project came about from the desire to combine their amazing talents to create a very special conceptual release. Each artist started with the same set of samples and built their tracks around those sounds. Globular cooked up Lemon while Radioactive Sandwich provided the tasty Mango. They then traded tracks and reinterpreted each others original track; Globular created Mamon from Mango and Radioactive Sandwich created Lengo from Lemon. The end result is a four track release that flows and blends seamlessly, every track containing flavors from the others, much like a tasty summer frozen treat. The artwork was provided by the insanely talented Sid Basu. Mastering by Radioactive Sandwich at Slicetwodio. Released by Omnitropic in 2013.
  7. Hey guys, Just wanted to give you a preview of our new release with the super awesome Globular. It will be coming out shortly. Enjoy! 8. Just saw this. Killer mix! Very happy to see our tune on there.
  9. Lemmiwinks, Thanks again for the kind words! Just a little correction, A World of Delights is actually our 5th album, making MIrage our 6th album Check out the other ones here if you want: http://radioactivesandwich.bandcamp.com. Sigogglin seems to be the one that people are really feeling. It's funny, I really love Time Dilation, so I was a bit disappointed when people weren't raving about that one, haha. Glad you liked the album, we have some ridiculous things planned for the near future, including a collaboration with someone y'all may know (we can't tell you yet!). Peace, Slice Two
  10. Following up on last year’s A World Of Delights, Mirage is the sixth studio album by Radioactive Sandwich, purveyors of delectable psychedelic electronic music. Jointly released by Omnitropic and Radioactive Sandwich Records, Mirage is a beautiful collection of enchanting and ethereal downtempo excursions into otherworldly bliss. Demonstrating a wide range of influences from psychedelic dub to worldbeat, tribal downtempo, and classic chill out, this album will satiate your ears, your mind, and your belly. You can download the album now from Ektoplazm.com: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/radioactive-sandwich-mirage
  11. Thought perhaps we would share 2 of our psytrance tracks. Both are available to download http://soundcloud.com/radioactive-sandwich/06-ball-of-string http://soundcloud.com/radioactive-sandwich/donkey-punch Enjoy!
  12. Howdy All, We are Radioactive Sandwich. We write electronic music (usually with a psy twist). We'd like to share our music with you. Free music can be found on our SoundCloud page (http://soundcloud.com/radioactive-sandwich/). There, you will find tons of free tunes, as well as our latest album "A World of Delights" (which some of you may have from Ektoplazm.com). There are loads of other tunes there as well, so take a look around. We welcome any and all feedback. Thanks!
  13. Hey Guys (or gals), Thank you so much for the kind words. You have no idea how happy it makes us to hear other people enjoying the music we're putting out. As for the artwork, Chongo is a Shawnee Native American that we met in Ohio. He's the guy on the mountain singing "Henowei" The only thing omitted from Slice Two's masterfully drawn cover is "Walking On Strings." Oops! On a funny note, Slice Two's dog is named Lemmiwinks. We kid you not. Thanks again for the support! Radioactive Sandwich www.radioactivesandwich.com
