  1. Yes, that's true. The new version may never come. I am so sad at what has happened to this once awesome site. No other site has as potentially good a review section. But now it just sucks.
  2. What, there's no Fatali in there?!? Looks good though. I'll try and download it.
  3. Whoops... that link doesn't work Try copying and pasting the following two links: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?...=18079&forum=41 http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?...=17659&forum=41
  4. The samples on saikosounds sound nice. I'm going to order it soon. There is a little bit of info on it here (but not much): Wrecked" target="_blank">http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?...um=41">Wrecked Machines on Isratrance Promotional Forum[/url]
  5. It's probably mixed so I have no interest in it.
  6. Yeah, I even tried to get a password, but no response. The password systems sucks. Maybe when the new version of the site comes out the password stuff will all be automated. We'll see.
  7. I must disagree. I don't think Melicia sounds like Astrix at all. Yes they both use the full-on baseline and the full-on pounding beats, but Astrix is slower, waaaaaay groovier, less noisey/busy, and just plain more creative. Melicia sounds like your average, modern day, really fast, generic full-on psy. It may be inspired by a !style! that is !like! Astrix but it is NOT Astrix.

    @ Anoebis

"to bad he has an GF :(" Ummm... yeah. What a shame for him. Just think of all the anal sex with hairy men that he's missing out on.
  9. You are not mistaken: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=3370
  10. I should add that the list above is in no particular order, and I especially recommend Green Oms. That CD was a nice surprise for me; it was created in part by one of the Green Nuns. Ta ta.
  11. Green Oms - Coming Through in Waves Cosmosis - Contact Logic Bomb - Unlimited Saiko Pod - Phutures and Options Electric Universe - Unify Astral Projection - Amen
  12. Mmm... to me Melicia does not sound promising at all. However, I don't understand why Mijis hates Fatali so much. True it uses the full on baseline, but it isn't the usual brand of frantic dance floor madness that Melicia is trying to copy. In parts, Fatali reminds me a bit of Cosma actually, though not as good. Eh, to each their own I guess. Interestingly, on Isratrance, there are many positive reviews of Melicia as well many positive reviews of albums that I see slagged here on Psynews. Perhaps people feel more free to speak their mind on this forum?
  13. @ Phaeton, my reference to people taking your advice at parties was sarcastic... " it does get really tiresome at parties though, but you can always cure it by taking so much drugs that you don't notice it anymore"
  14. It's notes. The album name is "notes." A real killer morning compilation... but not a bit of cheese in sight. Check it out for sure you guys. You heard it here first...
  15. Yup.
  16. My votes would go to: Green House Effect (Sandman as already mentioned) Digitalis (Shakta) SaikoPod (I don't know if that really counts as a side project)
  17. I was gonna say the same thing... Isratrance Top 10's
  18. I found a page at Saikosounds which makes it look like Saiko Pod is coming out with a new album. Check here: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=3405 They don't give any info really. Does anyone know anything about this? Does anyone know the URL for the label Acid Casualties?

Here is an older topic you might find useful: http://onewayltd.dyndns.org/psyforums/read...i=33237&t=33177
  20. For me, AP will always be Astral Projection.

    HELP NEEDED

You can buy them online. Check the following page for links to various reputable online shops that carry lots of good psytrance: click here
  22. I find it funny that the same pattern is repeating itself all over again. These "full on sucks" topics that keep poping up remind me of all the "minimal sucks" topics a while ago. For a while even I was starting to despair during the minimal craze. Would it ever end? Now that it has, it's full on supreme everywhere. Whether some of you realize it or admit it or not, every full on artist does not sound the same. They all tend to use some similar elements and structures in their tracks, and some of them do it much better than others. That's a fact. It's like anything else. You have to sift! Now that I look back at the whole minimal thing, and I look at my CD collection, I see a few select purchases I made and am pleased to say that, for the most part, I got a few jewels that I still listen to and enjoy. It will be the same with full on in a few years I suppose. Nuff said. I will only add that I agree with everything Mr. said above. No need to be so negative. There is lots of stuff released these days and not all of it is full on. Focus on what you like. Search it out and buy it and listen to it. And at parties... maybe you should take phaeton's advice...
  23. I personally like the CDS. I have a couple of them and would buy more if they were available. Sometimes an artist will make a couple of hit songs I like, but I don't want their latest album. Then I'll see a 12" was released by that group with just the song I want with maybe a remix or two on it. I would buy a CDS with the same content as the 12" if it was available. However, if I want the whole album, then I'll just wait and buy the whole album. No sense having two of the same song. I guess the labels would have to judge how many people will only want the hit song or two and how many would want a full album from the artist. Mind you, they already do this with vinyl I guess? Anyway, I totally agree with your statement: "as a collector , imo this could be a solution ( not 'the' but it's an effort ) for downloading mp3's and other illigal copies ... many times I buy a compilation there are only one or two real killers on it , and i lose lots of cash with the other tracks i do not intend to adore as much." My solution to that problem is I no longer buy anything but solid albums or compilations. I hate having CD's in my collection with only one or two tracks I like, and I no longer buy them...period. It means I miss some killer tracks I would like, but... it saves money, and there is always something else to get these days. So yes! Bring on the CDS!
  24. Oh yeah, Organix and Deliria are, as far as I know, the only two groups putting on exclusively Psy parties in Vancouver. Check the Deliria site for info on their activities. If you go to the Organix club nite, their is a book by the door. Put your email there and they will email you with info on their events.
