  1. Good stuff!
  2. Shulman - Instability The end is so good!
  3. Hey, the downtempo on it is really good! Plus #6 sounds like an absolute stormer! It sounds melodic enough for me.
  4. I have his second CD, yes. About Elve - I don't know really - I do have a lot of beatless (especially with the Ishq moniker on it) - and for the most part I like beatless, but not in excess.. So I'm still not sure about this one. Although I guess I could really, you know, go for it and buy all those and Yeti 2 as well - meaning that my next order would be some months away
  5. I'm just contemplating on what albums to buy on Thursday... Last order (that I didn't get) I had these in: [ 1. Elve - Infinite Garden 2. Gabriel Le Mar - Reel Time 3. Oliver Jones - Picking Up The Pieces ] But I'm not sure on whether I should drop those - the list is looking pretty big, 14 if Entheogenic 4 is released on or before Thursday when I make the order... If it's after, then I'll probably order that seperately. These are the other CDs I'm almost definitely going to get... 1. Sandspider - Music for an imaginary film 2. Shulman - Random Thoughts 3. Shulman - Soundscapes and Modern Tales 4. V/A - A Magical Journey 5. V/A - Elucidations 6. V/A - Oxycanta 7. V/A - Talisman 8. V/A - Backroom Beats 2 9. V/A - Wider Horizons 10. V/A - Crystal Skulls*1 11. Younger Brother - A Flock Of Bleeps 12. Mystery Of The Yeti And Mystical Experiences (2CD Special Edition)*2 13. Talpa - The Art Of Being Non*1 14. Entheogenic - Golden Cap (if it's released) *1 - OMG, I'm ordering PSYTRANCE! *2 - Was going to get just the Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences, but saw this double CD and it's only a couple of quid higher than IP on it's own - so why not? Oh, Yeti #2 is in stock as well in psyshop - can anyone recommend? Damn that's a lot of discs... But I have to order this many because it will be a while before the next holiday!

Cinos will hate you for saying that. Cell isn't bad either... Nor is Solar Fields... Not outstanding but good.
  7. Tripswitch - Silver (Robot Baby mix)

Haha Though I admit, Vibrasphere downtempo is very nice (even though I'm not very into prog) - Manzanilla and Vibrasphere's remix of Entheogenic's Pagan Dream Machine spring to mind.
  9. Time for some comedy... VA - Hardcore Goa Trance Vol.1 (Goa Blaster Records) Compiled by DJ MegaRaver played: 01. 10. Well.. it's different, that's for sure. It's nice, but it's a little dark for my taste - it also sounded like it wanted to go somewhere, but didn't quite make it... Don't really know how else to review it. Though I can see what you were trying to do with the realm changing, it's more of a journey through one place than through many realms.
  11. Yeah, I keep playing this one as well...

Shpongle was one of the first 'psy-chill' projects I heard. And it inspired me to go out and buy more - I think I have a lot more understanding now, but I still think Shpongle is one of the best projects here. And I know quite a bit about the genre. Just because someone listens to Shpongle doesn't mean they are not into the genre much...

Yes, I'm trying to get hold of some of his other downtempo works - The Mystery of the Yeti, Gargoyles (with Ott), The Infinity Project etc... Yeah, they must have.
  14. Don't really have one. I suppose if it would be anything, it would be nothing. Just to not think of composing, think of something else and ideas will come. If I try and make music by thinking 'Right Ben, let's get some ideas flowing, and let's get this track finished tonight!', it won't happen. Playing around with ideas, testing out various things will eventually open up my creativity - though this is a slow process, I like to think I'm rewarded on occasion.
  15. Been messing around for the past week, making pads, leads, sequences... Then I noticed that three quarters of them were in the same key. So I threw them all together, and a song is building out of it, slowly. No sequencer shot as I like to work 'live' until I've worked out a way to piece bits together in the sequencer. But you can have a look at the mess of cables. By the way, no my monitor is not that big, I just pieced 4 screens together in Photoshop.

I regard him pretty highly as his skillset is extremely broad and he has countless successful projects under his belt - Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Celtic Cross (to name a few) - I admire that he can produce a wide variety of music. I also love the fact that he can make the actual tracks extremely diverse without losing his unique sound. I don't care if he is overrated - even though it was big names in the psyscene that got me where I am as a listener - I just appreciate the great music he, and his label are producing. Mind you, I hate the way Twisted are very slow with releasing new material... We should have had a Shpongle box set and a Western Rebel Alliance CD by now...
  17. Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008VAJ...v=glance&n=5174
  18. Where do you buy from then?
  19. Some tune I was working on last night...
  20. Well it's happened twice now - on the first occasion, psyshop actually sent it back - this time they're just refunding. Fair enough, I just get my discs a little later when I reorder...
  21. Dude, have you never ordered from psyshop before? DHL what they use, priority mail. Right. They deliver either direct or to a neighbours (same with UPS etc)
  22. Well DHL didn't deliver it here, they returned it to their warehouse, which is a 3-4 hour round trip away - for obvious time reasons, we couldn't go there. So after a while DHL must have sent it back to psyshop and then I get a refund. It's annoying because when I order CDs, there seems to be no-one in the house to pick up - normally when this happens, they drop it at our neighbours, but THEY weren't in either... So this happened. Anyway it's no sweat... I can order it again Thursday along with some more CDs I forgot to order in the first order... Hopefully also Entheogenic 4 will be out then too.
  23. Sweet art. And might I say, sweet tracklist there too.
