  1. wow, you make these guys sound good! i dont know almost anything about that breaks style, other than i like crystal method for the darker sound and not fatboy or chemical bros cuz to me it seems theyre just beats and not much substance. i know prodigy has a darker mood to them, but i never really listened to them other than a couple songs, whats the first album i should check out?
  2. ooh yeah! thats been my fav tiamat song for years, that whole album is very deep and mellow ambient and one of the best "rock" albums ever! i thought of a few more psy kinda stuff yall might like, Phil Thornton - alien encounter. its trippy space ambient. also try The Gathering - How To Measure A Planet (the song not the album) for another long spacey ambient. for a more 70s, funky psy side, check out String Cheese Incident - Rollover, Jamiroquai - Destitute Illusion, and maybe some parts of Particle - Launchpad some experimental alternative might do it for some of ya, check out the albums Melvins - Stag (way different than their other albums, much more trippy atmospheres!) Mr Bungle - Disco Volante (truely twisted warped and mind fukkin weerd!!!) and Secret Chiefs 3 - Book M (most unique band ever! um... middle eastern surf techno??? at least you MUST hear the tracks Safina, Blaze Of The Grail, and Welcome to the Theatron Animatronique!!!)
  3. i had to go with hallucinogen too, just cuz hes best at being psychadelic, but chi ad and dimension 5 are very close behind and i love the atmospheres to them more
  4. woah! neat! so that was penta with all those cool simpsons stuff? thats my first time ever hearing them!
  5. and if everyone had the same dna coding, we would all look exactly the same, and have a record of the genetics of dna in all its glory recorded on dvd....
  6. yeah but the more you think about it, no one knows the full extent of genetics yet, otherwise we would have clones, PLUS perfected superhumans... but im more talking about the psychology in race and musical taste, it may be independant of dna, (spiritual???) but there does seem to be certain connection with certain people and certain genres of music...
  7. dude, id be really interested in learning about genetics and musical taste philosophy or theories?... is it the genes that affect musical taste? or just the power of cultures that influence yer tastes?
  8. yeah but thats at psy parties, but even in africa you say its mostly white? at the parties? now thats really something to think about!!!
  9. yeah, my favorite african rock artist, dave matthews isnt black... does that mean none of them are? is it all some conspiracy? ahh!!!!!! but, well, if 99% of africans arn't black, where have all black peep come from, and why so many? did they all move out of africa to other continents?
  10. you have the magic fingers then! anyway i cant freakin believe beyond is that much now! is psy SO underground that even the all time greatest albums just get forgotten about in the music business world and almost go out of existence? id consider this album a top 10 must have for a total noob to psy!
  11. just did, 67 bucks new, 25 for cheapest used
  12. juno reactors beyond is 25 now??? it was normal price and popular in cd stores in the US a couple years ago when i got it... but then so was shpongle and hallucinogen... not sure how hard these are to get, but i just lately found the 1st 2 eat static albums used for 6 bucks each, last i remember i couldnt find them anywhere online...
  13. the only metal i know of with them is sepultura and entombed... also i wondered why theres so few women in psy too, all i know of is miranda and michelle. are there any more?
  14. doof, abakus, younger brother, bluetech... i guess thats all i can think of at the moment oh! and get the Gargoyles tracks, its ott + posford
  15. oh yeah, another space rock band thats very psychadelic would be Ozric Tentacles. highly reccomended to everyone! and yeah that cluster 1 is one of the coolest ambient tracks ever!
  16. i think simon of course takes hallucinogens, cuz in interviews he says he doesnt like to produce while tripping cuz it gets too confusing, and that they thought up the name shpongle while tripping, and that playing a set one time the cops came and the place burnt down and he ran away, but it turned out he hallucinated it all cuz he was trippin... but i may be wrong, and yeah it sounds like infected is anti drugs, at least erez is... i think the hidden track on Tool's Aenima sums it all up... edit: one time i saw a wild bunny running thru the middle of a major city!
  17. anyone know of cool tracks that most peep into psy may not know about? like tracks made from artists on completely different styles of music? i know 1 track from a black metal band: and oceans - new model world, it uses more goth/industrial style patches for the melody, then later has a part that sounds like ubar tmar... quite a unique track tho
  18. chi ad - exit eternity iron maiden - nomad purest essence of all that is epic!
  19. ah dag naggit, i cant play them kinda records... im gonna go cry now
  20. aww fiddlesticks! you make it sound like this ultimate gem is a dilly dalio to ever find! now im sad! is everything im looking for THAT impossible to get?!? OH FART!!!!!!!!! others id like to buy are blue synergy or feeling weird (which i tried 3 times and turned out bunk.. so im getting pissed) but those not as much are wanted as this hux flux at the moment
  21. dunno how to get this one either... but i really really want it
  22. yes, and they wont sell anything, they just give a link to saikosounds or some other places that dont have it
  23. whos to say whats good or not? this guy brings us an original vision of total insanity. and no one ive heard paints an atmosphere anywhere near like ubar does. there may be some dimensions to his music that pale in comparision to the rest of the psy scene, but i see the mood and feeling of irretreivable madness and permafryzation, that no one else comes close to matching, and thats the kind of originality i love! its the atmosphere the music paints that i look for, and i see a new perspective of life in so much new music, and im not sure why so many people dont like every kind of music, its your one life! theres so many emotions to experience that all types of music correspond to!! dont die with a limited bigoted perspective of the "best type" of music... they must be obsessed on some certian fixed aspect of their little narrow vision of musical beauty... best or worst has absolutely NO meaning as long as an artist is original in emotion! and theres far too many emotions AND in combinations that are all nice to experience. and i got into psytrance in the first place to hear new weird trippy ass feelings, not just cause i like trance or electronica. anyway, it just confuses me how anyone can say this stuff is only mediocre when theres nothin else in terms of emotion that you can compare this too. maybe ubar doesnt have the technical geniosity of simon, but ubar doesnt even want to portray a common psy emotion that simon does anyway, he relies more on CRAZY sounds and schizophrenic (or weirdass mathematical) rythms and progressions, and hence, i cannot say hes better or worse since i have no one else to compare to! and thats why i like ubar! he taps into the insane dimension that ive yet to hear anyone else come close to. but if any of you know who does it better in the freakishly silly way ubar does, please lemme know!
  24. EDIT - I found someone who will give this to me, hooray! this topic may be ignored now. i cant seem to find this anywhere else, i hope one of you would like to sell it to me!!
