i was wondering about the spectrasonics stuff, i hear the same singing thing in shpongle, ott, entheogenic, and khetzal, the "ooh donkey kong" singing. is that spectrasonics best part they have? do they even have much else any good? also, what other artists use this same sample?

heh, if that cosma track isnt prog, then theres only 1 prog track in teh world, and everything else is a slightly different sub genre with its own label... anyways, as a noob to trance, and thousands of albums to check out, and if i give everything a few listens to see if it grows on me, its gona take like 10 years to hear it all and finally choose for myself what i think are the coolest tracksthats why i thought itd be swell if some veterans can give a few recomendations

what are the all time deepest and most hypnotic prog tracks in the world? for me i only know of a few that are so ultra cool that nothin else i heard yet comes close cosma - sleep of peace atmos - cable enable/fill the hat any other prog tracks out there that deserve a place next to these?

really? gee whiz, sometimes this labelling gets so weird and confusing. i never thought of cosma as fullon anyway. i only guessed bp empire was fullon cuz it didnt seem like it was goa or prog or minimal or darkpsy... theres just some albums i guess that are too original and i cant ever label it... but still, when i think cosma, i think of bpempire wether its technically fullon or not. like what is synergy or project genesis? goa or psy? what the hell is koxbox great unknown? im not the master at labeling stuff... anyways, i like bunnies!

i am not aware of anyone close to emo fullon, like cosma, poor lil bugger... bp empire is the other closest that comes to mind for me. fullon is just too light and happy now, or just not as deep... more artists need to save fullon dag nabbit!

i took a ride with my sis today, i thought id play some psy for us in the car, so i brought radio, of course a perfect introduction... oops, the dummy who is musically retarded took the cd and SLAMMED it in, and scratched the cd... ARGHH!!!! btw the speakers sucked so much you could not make out the bass at all, ruining the whole album... just venting, anyways, carry on...

abakus. its my fav of last year too, and so far as i know, nothing else is close at all. also this year i think jaia took prog to a whole new level id hope to see more of (its my all time fav prog album now) theres many many more totally unique and fresh albums i love...

the one thing that kinda ruins psytrance for me, is that the labels are so stupid that they dont think its a big deal that SO many old classics are impossible to get.. also, the death of shpongle ruined psy ALOT

my favs would prolly be 95- TIP - mystical experiences 96- total eclipse - violent relaxation 97- um.... hardest year, but ill go with koxbox - dragon tales 98- shpongle 99- hux flux - cryptic crunch 00- atmos - headcleaner 01- infected mushroom - bp empire 02- entheogenic 03- cosma - nonstop 04- the other hardest year to choose, but ill go with abakus 05- jaia - fiction (havent heard the shpongle yet...) i think 98 and 99 were the easiest to decide, those 2 albums completely blew away anything else by far

yeah, i dont think yer gonna find much as good as the shpongle and co, but id say goa is the main style yer gonna find all those epic melodies, and ive noticed that seraph always has excellent lists, my favs being the artists blue planet, chi ad and dimension 5 (to me the PUREST essence of the TRUE goa spirit) for the most melodies and depth... also try: pleiadians - asterope, and indoor - naxus, koxbox - neurobic, cosmosis - cannaboid, jaia - breathing ocean, and ill mention again my fav, chi ad - exit eternity could be added to the list, and for non goa, ONLY infecteds pgm (prehistoric goa mood) does it for me as well as the best goa, but im sure you know that one... but other than these im guessing that nothin else exists yet that comes as close to shamanix (my fav hallu track) and behind (my 2nd fav shpong track)... oh yeah, the first entheogenic album comes the closest to those for me, but then again thats pretty obvious... all we can do is give ya the best of the other psychadelic emotions than just the shpongled types...
