  1. Yes great remix, but it's not mine, it's Aes Dana!
  2. Whaw. Poor Shulman. One review topic for this album and almost all the times bad critics. Come on on my review topic and bash Life² too please (not you Towelie, you already did this to Life² ahaha). Personaly, I don't have their last album, so I can't say anything about the music, but I can say I love the long title and the beautiful cover art.

Thank you Riton for your kind words. Héhé, concernant le logo Rhones Alpes, bonne question, à poser à Ultimae. Moi je me contente de faire la musique! :drama:

    Asura - Life²

Oups, sorry for the heavy 4/4 beat in the title track, but of course, you imagine I didn't put it up there by chance. Nevertheless, thank you so much for all these fantastic comments in general, be sure they touch me right in the heart. No unrespectful comments here, two thumbs up for your correction, even when you don't like that much my music (even if I am really happy to see, that, since the beginning, they are many more lovers of Life² the album, than haters, fortunatly for my ego ahahah).
  5. I really like the track Vicious Delicious, great work on the rythm, the vocal atmosphere, really infected and weird in fact as I like! I was really disappointed with what they did since I am the supervisor, but this one is, to my opinion, a really great and accomplished track. I don't know the rest of the album though...
  6. "and we are all allowed to express our opinions however we want." That's exactly what I did... Well, concerning the track, I think Triptonite remixed by Aes Dana is a great track, because it doesn't follow the path of the original and brings, for this reason, is own identity.
  7. Hehe, no problem Visine I don't take it personaly. I have absolutly no problem with negative comments (look at the life² topic, someone tells my last album seems tired and old, but he tells it with respect, so no problem for me, even if I prefer the positive comments of course, like everybody, I think), I just have problem with Non respect posts and fake informations. And the comment of Rino about this track (and it oculd have been a track from anybody else, it would have been exactlyt the same thing, really) is deeply offensive. "It makes total sense that such emotional person would make fuckin' great Life Squared album full of emotion:)" Thank you very much;) About my hyper sensibility, yes I am ahahaha, so it's cool it deserves me in something at least lol "If you release your work to the public, be prepared for public's reaction.... positive and negative." Ahah, thank you for the advice. I just think I have a very little experience of that kind of feelings since I am into music, So fortunatly, I managed to control it a long time ago yet. But I will remember you words; Obi wan Ok so let's go back to Etnica remixes now
  8. Pfff. It has nothing to do with the Hype with this track. If so many people say this remixed track is huge (and me the first, for me this remix is better than the original), it's maybe because it is... simply. There is such a hate and lack of respect in your comment about this track, that it's becoming ridiculous and/or unbearable at the end. You have to know that Etnica asked to Aes Dana to do this remix, so before saying rubbish, just inquire a little. Ok?

Absolutly no problem Kabamaru. Don't see the Aes Dana or Solar Fields influences you are talking about in my album, but it's your point of view, maybe the Ultimae artists sound a bit the same, don't know... respect

    Asura - Life²

Asura: life²: Morpheus review "Asura - Life² STYLE Atmospheric downtempo electronica and global chillout. Life² opens with a dramatic track of tribal intensity, swelling synths and moody duduk phrases - establishing a somewhat timeless cinematic space threaded through with a cutting edge contemporary aesthetic. Laid back trance beats and rippling sequencers appear on track two, introducing an undulating rhythmic terrain that lumbers into thudding regularity one moment, smooth synthetic sheets and mists hanging in the air, before evaporating away into ambient floatation and beatless space. This varied approach produces some beautifully unhurried passages of meandering mystery and exotic mood in among the more danceable grooves where pulsing basses and gated vocals rise to the fore. Vocal snatches echo and spiral on turbulent sonic drafts, rich marginal effects gushing against choral beds, Indian female lyrics woven among lush strings, fluid pads and swells buoy up philosophical musings, middle eastern percussion meshing seamlessly with programmed beats. In short the sound palette is luxurious and diverse, yet strung together with tasteful restraint into a powerful listening experience. ARTWORK Ultimae presentation guarantees a sumptuous package with tasteful imagery - Life² being no exception. The front cover photograph shows an arcane device of concentric rings and slots which reappears on the back in enlarged form and again on the cover to the accompanying booklet. Spread across the full three panel panorama within is a broad shot of grassed horizons and heavy skies centred on a gleaming sun - the artist looming in silhouette on the right. The sixteen page booklet follows the Ultimae tradition of laying out a full page for each track - a well selected series of beguiling imagery holds a brief credit at the foot of each. At the rear of the booklet is a page of French text and another English language page of thanks. OVERALL Asura has been around in various incarnations since around the year 2000 when the debut album Code Eternity was released. This album accompanied the birth of Ultimae Records and became one of the landmark albums of the genre. Code Eternity was followed up with an altered line up in 2003 releasing Lost Eden and now the team has been further distilled down to founder member Charles Farewell as a solo project. This latest offering is something of a rebirth, seeing the initial sound revisited and developed into a dynamic, finely honed fusion of ethnic warmth and technological liquid. Beautifully produced and brimming with aural colour, Life² fits into the Ultimae catalogue ideally, bringing with it a distinct personality and confident vision that will doubtless further broaden the appeal of this flagship of modern electronic music." Asura - Life²

Just a precision: for those who are familiar with Discogs, don't hesitate to leave a note. I am eager to see, among the 62 persons who said they have this album, what they are thinking about it, though the 22 who left already a note left an amazing average 4,7/5 till now. Thank you for that! http://www.discogs.com/release/997968

Kyle Maclachlan, it's the name of the actor you use for your avatar Concerning La Chanson de Carla, it has not been used in a shpongle track, but someone told me it was in another track of an artist I don't know. The song in the Prophecy is indian. For me the important thing in that track is the beauty of the voice and of the melodies.

    Asura - Life²

Hi "Kyle" Snapinho The female vocals from The Prophecy were taken on a cd of the vocal planet package. I know some persons here don't like artists putting some pretty overused samples in their tracks, but I like the idea of treating them differently than the others, as far as I am concerned. It was the same thing when we used the same sample as Shpongle's "around the word in a tea daze" in "Lost Eden", though we didn't know when we composed it that Simon and Raja Ram already took it. It's the same in "la chanson de Carla". One told me the female vocal had already been used in another track, but to be honest, I don't care. For me, a vocal sample is a sound, a material, exactly like a synth, and I think it doesn't matter if it has been already used elsewhere. It's what you do with it which is important. For me, La Chanson de Carla has no sense without this sample, cause the track has been built up around it. But of course, it's just my point of view... And yes, since 2005, you can say Asura "is"...

In fact, this version of Galaxies is not the same as the Oxycanta one, longer, different mix, and thematic variations. But well, I respect your point of view Just for the information, everybody, you can vote for a track from this album, The Propecy, elligible to be in the Pathaan's Sunset Soundtrack on the BBC. Last day for voting: saturday! http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/pathaans...haw/index.shtml Love and light from here
  16. Hello everybody. A track from the new album, The Propecy, is elligible to be the sunset track on the BBC Pathaan soundtrack show. Please leave your vote here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/pathaans...haw/index.shtml Moreover, for the information, Asura is still number one on saikosounds in the chillout side, and reached back the top twenty @ psyshop after being sold out...

  18. Thank you for your comments, everybody! During the psynews hiatus, Life² lived his (first ) life, and received really good feedbacks in the scene (isratrance, myspace, discogs, for example). I didn't expect insults, of course, but it touches me really really... The album reached last week the top 14 in Itunes dance/electronic australian charts (why in Australia? Don't know), and is top13 on psyshop, though it's ambient, and though we are in july, a dead month for sells. I would like to thank everybody who bought the album, for the effort it is, financial and ethic, though it would be so easy to take (steal) it for free on the net. Thank you very much for your support, you make this kind of music and music in general staying alive!!!! Love and light from here ASURA
  19. The copies were sent july the 6, just after reception
  20. Don't say "maybe", Drosophilia, say "for sure I'll buy the new Asura Album, that I have been expecting for such a long time like many others" Ahaha. In all case, hope you'll enjoy Life² :drama:
