  7. very good. well done mate.
  8. Thanks Mate. I'm afraid I was not aware of that. I have to go have a think. I appreciate the information.
  9. Buzzman, I am making my music, you are making yours. It isn't a competition to me. I don't have a desire to be anybody. I am just a guy who loves music, and math. I like to make my own waveforms. Actually, what I am doing is highly experimental. But, unfortunately I can't argue about it, or even explain it. Cause, it would take your willingness, to be open minded enough to understand, that music can be made any way the artist wants. Live and let live mate. I am sharing my music, I am not asking anybody to like, listen to, or praise. If I find a few people who understand, laugh and smile with, because of what I am doing.... Thats enough for me. Cheers ok? cheers mate!
  10. Are you sure? Are you very sure? Because I very quickly changed the mix, the tracks, and the links, and the sound that Caffein:me is talking about, is no longer present in the links above. So, be slightly more careful. And read the whole thread. And also we are happy to not be your style. Cheers Mate
  11. I did use my ears how do you think I made the track? But how do you think you add sinusoids together to create single cycle waveforms? Partials, polynomials, and phase shifted formants... ? Do you know how a saw wave is made? By adding partials together... Think, " building blocks of sound design " and then you can understand the mistake I made in the mix... I made a very simply mistake, working with a fundamental, that was supposed to sit, far beyond the range of human hearing. But, of course I used my ears to make the track. There isn't a preset anywhere. not in the synths, not on the compressors, not on anything. imho, I am using my ears all the time!! :-) cheers mate
  12. You have incredible ears!! Try this fresh new mix.... http://soundwolf.net/sites/default/files/0...z%20mix%202.mp3 I was experimenting with, or I am experimenting with certain psychoacoustic phenomena.... Instead of entirely wacky explanation.. Mostly computer bug, software developers, they are not thinking that you want a frequency at 31 thousand hertz, so the vst decides on its own... 19 thousand hertz... I have to learn max/msp I think. Because max is a little more correct with the tone generation and single cycle sample playback/response than cakewalk/virsyn stuff....... I was planning on learning max... I don't know. It is a very difficult program, and once I start, I will go through a whole new learning curve period. But, unfortunately I think it might be the only way to get the computer to do what I want.... Especially, because that tone should not have been there!! I didn't catch it really yesterday, cause I probably spent a few hours mixing the track. I should have looked with a Spec Analyzer... I just assumed 31 thousand, cause that is what the computer screen said. Actually, it was about 19.100 and it was multi-plied to probably - 10 db... arrg, it is another reason to seriously consider max... Thank you for the second ear, and the kind words. Cheers
  13. interesting. hmmm. I've been experimenting with extraordinarily high pitch frequencies. I must have made an improper math calculation. Didn't bother me... but unfortunately when we mix a track our ears can sometimes get a little tired. anyways, it is always nice to have a second ear. Let me, um. go figure out exactly why that number isn't working and make a second render. Unless I made a typo, you really shouldn't be able to hear that. Scientifically, etc... Even if you have perfect hearing, it is supposed to stop at 20,000 hertz, so I don't know exactly what I did wrong... I need to go cut another wavetable though... what a pita... anyways, thanks for the feedback, I'll post a second mix... I much appreciate. Now, your sure its the super high resonance sound? Its not the other sort of sound designs? There is a killer amount of res and distortion in this track. I might have overdone it a bit here... arrg, let me go cut a new single cycle table and render this again.
  14. Hi :clapping: -------------- ( edit ) New video, coming in 24 hours or less.... I am sorry for the inconvenience.... Ok, :-) Turn your lights all the way out. Turn your volume all the way up. And full screen my quartz video that I did for my new track. cheers :clapping: ---------------------- I make sure to add second post so earlier people have chance to see... :-) Please turn off light in your room, watch at loud volume in dark. I am getting OK at quartz comp now... Still very hard to make certain graphics, but this happy light blue vid... cheers PS... plz remember, if you like the track, it is always better to download the 320 from my website, as youtube highly compress music, and you loose very important harmonix... my 320 link in first post. Thank you...
  15. I keep having this vision of music, something I really see and want. And... This track is not it at all. At the same time, this track is everything I am trying to accomplish. I really fucked this one up big-time. Somebody requested a bit more sub bass in my trax, I actually went a slight bit overboard here, I created a really super distorted piece of sound for bass, actually 2 of them.. And I really went looking for this tribal beat, which, doesn't happen at all in the very least on this track. I declare this track, "a superfailure," and at the same time, I am so proud I have an ability to continually fall flat on my face with music. To me, there is a lot of shining experimentation here, with mixing ideas, with production work flow, definitely with sound, cause most of the wave forms in this song are not exactly what one would expect. Although it may sound like a saw, or a sq, its not. And I love that. I love really going into my small collection of software, and being able to advance on with it to some new level. There is plenty of stuff in the track far beyond our ability to hear, there is also lots of stuff in this mix, that makes it look extremely young and dirty. That distorted bass, boderline muddy, maybe even too powerful ( loud ). I don't think the kik is all that great... What I love in this track, is totally its vibe. Maybe that is enough for dance. For modern music? I don't know. The way the sounds come and flow in this track really makes me think, wow, this is totally the feeling I wish to capture. And the way I fucked up this track, I know, it is 100% off the mark. Not what I want. Everything is a mess! A poor mix, master, so flawed in its quality and production, and it only seems to capture some sort of faded and incorrect idea.... The kind you can remember, like a dream you had, that was very upsetting, and you want to forget so much. http://soundwolf.net/sites/default/files/0...z%20mix%202.mp3 Edited, new link, different mix... :-) I guess it is not really something " finished " enough to share. I guess it is really just a vision of where I want to go. I guess I didn't quite get there this time.
  16. Edit of original post..... video is completed on youtube. plz enjoy Link in post above. Cheers
  17. Whatever... Surrender to Jonnie!! The Sky Fire my video is finished processing, and rendered/created etc... on youtube plz enjoy. plz be my buddy on youtube if you have an account. thank you
  18. You have some really wicked sounds in the track Mate. I really like the vibe. I hear some mud in the bass freq, right about where the bass and kick meet. Too much delay or reverb in that area, the other thing you might try is shortening the midi notes of your bass line. The panning is really well done, but the first major pan part, could use a little more comp to keep it from jumping out the monitors. Also, your snr/clap has gotten a little lost in the mix, you might want to try it more to the right instead of the left... Pull away some other freqs or some other instruments with eq, and it will come back. Your first drop is pretty, and after that the snare comes back in strong.... The gregorian chanting is plain AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wickedly done Mate. Good Form! After this break though, you can really hear not a crisp bass. Something is wrong in the mix over there. Also, your main dance/lead seq... It sounds squashed. I think you over compressed it. It sound a little lost for dynamix?? imho.... A lead like this should have more air to it? Yes? No? Maybe I am wrong. I can see why you are proud of this track. It is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!! BUT, your extremely complex assortment of sounds, is making for a very difficult piece to mix. Definitely sounded a a bit tighter at the end, then the beginning. You really might want to think over some of the compressor work you have done hear, some parts too much, some parts not enough. Using eq, to clean out some more mids here and there, will let the track breathe a little more... Finally, figure out that bass freq... I can't quite place it, but something is causing mud in 220 - 470..... Great effort! A beautiful piece I really enjoyed. I hope you are ok with the feedback. Definitely a piece to be proud of. I'd like to hear a second mix, when you rest your ears a little. Cheers Mate
  19. Hi Funky, Thanks for the comment. Its the first time in a while I heard some kick drum feedback. It probably could have been a little more gentle. Thanks for the second ear. Cheers Frozen Dream? No like track? Can be very difficult when making all sounds from scratch. I hope you like the next one more. Thanks for the - cheers
  20. wow, what a very cool, but older sounding thing. I really like it.
  21. try it out wasted plz. hope you like it. cheers mate
  22. just cleaning up my mixes, tying it all together.... http://soundwolf.net/sites/default/files/f...ht%20chaser.mp3 Now I am 96% happy. Last 4 percent is hardest part... cheers
  23. Nice track mate. Very well done. Some fresh sounds, good arrangement over all. Where the bass meet the kik, in this track..... somewhere between 80 htz and 160 htz... is something muddy/funny sounding.. I think it is throwing off entire groove little bit. How many mili second delay on bass? Also, how long reverb on kik? any delay or reverb on kik and bass in track? I think it was very nice track. The guitar A+ the other sounds, very good. Really strong track you make here. But, not too be too picky, There is something funny, mistake maybe when mixing, in very low end frequency. Take look. Perhaps I am wrong. cheers Ps... I know the mix on my last track, was close to shit... LOL... but, for me music is very 1 step forward 2 step back.. Same for you? You made a nice track here. Very cool. Thanks for share.
  24. take too much practice.... You like this trip? See, I make all sound design, so take me years to figure out.... http://soundwolf.net/sites/default/files/0...ght%20After.mp3 yeah!! almost proper trip I think. I make few mistake here and there... :posford: :clapping: I give myself dance smile. I 95% happy this track. Hope you enjoy. Have fun night. cheers
