    V/A - Genetic Process

Good release... all the tracks are Full On,,
  2. When I look back and see this release.. Nothing but pure goa anthems...
  3. Double Dragon - Spike (Rmx) / Wetware Artist: Double Dragon Title: Spike (Rmx) / Wetware Label: Psychic Deli Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Spike (Rmx) 02. Wetware Review: Double Dragon gives us a new release, Im so glad there is new stuff from this brilliant artist. Side A is very groovy (I wouldnt be able to say how much better it is from the original as I havnt heard the original of this track) and its a very mystical journey from the beggining till the end. Perfect for pre dawn hours. They have that kinda breakbeat feel in most of thier tracks which I really like. However this 12 inch is much diffrent from thier older stuff. Thier sound has matured alot, The Flip is very percussive as all thier music... and the kickdrum and bassline just locks in and its sound really good. I really think this 12 inch is a must in your collection if you like Double Dragon style... Like I said this EP somehow sounds more evolved from thier older stuff...

    Maskalin - Way Of Life

Maskalin - Way Of Life Artist: Maskalin Title: Way Of Life Label: HOM-Mega Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Freakish 02. Music (A Way Of Life) 03. Ride On 04. Oriental Funk 05. Loud And Proud 06. Groove Session 07. Turtle House 08. Way Of Life 09. Alien Funk Review: Maskalin are Itzik Benisti, Moshe Kenan. Moshe is from Xerox and Itzik AKA Cosmic Navigator. Let me start off with stating this cd is x-tremely groovy and funky...(tr1)is repetitive and grooves till a nice break and some cool melodies.(tr2) has a smooth intro, laidback till it bursts into akiller bassline. This track you gotta love the sample "Music..." in delay... (tr3) has a funky breakbeat influence. (tr4) is a known one, the rmx is fab. (tr5) Full On... (tr6) is one of my fav, this one I really like. tr(7) is also nice along with (tr8) and (tr9) IMO this cd is average but some highlights! Get this if your looking for Groovy FUnky Music.
  5. Human Blue has really produced an excellent track this time... Giving us the best of the best morning times... Great Work.. A must
  6. I heard Sunrise from Antidote... Is this in the same style?
  7. V/A - Hardcore Blastoff Artist: Various Title: Hardcore Blastoff Label: HOM-Mega Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'53" Psysex In Panick : Hardcore Blastoff 02. 08'28" Psysex And Manitu : The Final Mission 03. 08'28" Psysex In Panick : Little Black Hole 04. 07'36" Psysex : Dominatrix 05. 08'24" Psysex On Mushroom : Dirty 80s 06. 08'16" Growling Mad Sex : Imprint 07. 10'02" Children Of The Doc : Bionic Bong 2001 (Psysex Rmx) 08. 08'11" Psysex : Smooth Sailing 09. 04'52" Psysex : Koopa Troopa Review: After thier first succesful release PsySex gives us "Hardcore Blastoff". The album features a new artist "Panick" and known ones such as "DuvDev", "Manitu", and the "Growling Mad Scientists". In Hardcore Blastoff loads of breaks and beat changes. The melodies would be of a subtle kind. Final Mission being one of the 3rd remixes to me sounds very much like the others. If you hear closely in the middle you could hear Manitu's influence. Little Black Hole again featuring "Panick" drops the pace of the album a bit. Dominatrix comes back strong sounding very breaky. This song really starts to kick towards the end with Wah. PsySex On Mushroom makes a diffrent theme to the album. You can definatly hear DuvDev's melodies in hear. Towards the end it gets very dreamy, nicey nice. Imprint definatly being a highlight on this album as that stompy feel with uprisings and everything you can possibly imagine. Bionic Bong Rmx is on of my favorites on this disc. Now hearing Smooth Sailing you can hear a total diffrent twist in sound going towards thier more freestyle side project "Koopa Troopa". More laidback and you can actually hear chords. Very relaxing and Sunset Boulevard going into something very experimental. I'm glad they bring a diffrent sound for a change. Overall this album has some great tunes and I would recommend you go out there and BUY it and get the really groovy artwork.

    Psycraft - Gravitech

Psycraft - Gravitech Artist: Psycraft Title: Gravitech Label: HOM-Mega Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 03'05" Life In Mono 02. 08'12" Night In Kopangan 03. 07'22" Bizarre (Rmx) 04. 07'46" SOS 05. 07'46" Illegal Overdose 06. 08'16" Hypnotic MSG 07. 08'23" Dream On 08. 07'21" Born Evil 09. 07'53" Partial Recall Review: Psycraft's debut album is in thier typical style. I was looking forward to this one. They are known for thier very funky melodies and groovy tracks. The intro has a laidback beat almost dreamy. Night In Kopenian has some very cool uplifting buildups towards the end. This album has more melodies than stomp. Bizarre Rmx has the most plesant bassline stomping away with a nice 4/4 kickdrum and a bunch of kreaking noises. This one also has some very relaxed guitars on it. S.O.S starts to get deep. Somehow this track seems such a "Goa Gil" track. Illegal Overdose goes back to dreamy not so dark melodies... This one gets really groovy with those melodies and it gets more intense over time. It has those very 303 sounds old school sounds... Which I must say are used very well. Hypnotic M-S-G- has a great sample courtesy of Simon Posford. When I interviewed these guys they said they wanted to work with him. Hear you get a very nice track. It goes into another known track "Dream On" which has been on compilations for a while now. Partial Recall is full of guitars which dont bother me too much... It turns into Full On somehow. This album is just brilliant! It's produced very well and I would definately reccomend it if your into an alternative to minimalism.
  9. This CD is something magical... The whole CD should be listened to in order. This stuff is just totally chilled out and relaxed. The production is quite complex and has some nice vocals on this CD. Also this CD is not competely ambient there is some sort of kickdrum in track 2 etc. But a very good output from this artists.

    V/A - Firewire

V/A - Firewire Artist: Various Title: Firewire Label: Optimus Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Pasolator 5000 : The Last Gun-Star 02. Ticon : Marmite On The Keys 03. Soul Pitcher : One Way Ticket 04. Manufacturing Consent : The Green Lab 05. Lock Clock : 50 NIS In The Back Yard 06. Hack-Tor : Mesame Mucho 07. Z-Domain : Siesta 08. Soul Pitcher : It Aint Over Till The Fat Lady Sings 09. Z-Domain : Keep It Cool Review: Optimus Records have been releasing some killer stuff this being included. It has a great intro by Pasolator 5000. "Check Check" Anyone know these guys ? Who are they ? Moving into that typical Ticon percusion tribal feel. This track sounds very much like all ticon style tracks. As he has made his mark in the industry for his killer beats and beyond. Progressing into Soul Pitcher These guys are just great. They have some tracks featured on Humus Conspiracy 2 Mixed by Dj Yaniv. These tracks are perfect for progressing into morning. Just driving with subtle thoughts of melodies. Manufacturing Consent does a track called The Green Lab This one being really hard and driving... very deep bassline and get some nice sounds creating something quite intresting... if your looking for something diffrent maybe this one might intrest you for sure. The next one by Lock Clock.. The track has such a killer name... Its NIS which is Israel money... the bassline being a little wierd/// didnt care for this one too much yet... The rest of the tracks have those similar new bassline sounds... Getting into them slowly but surely.. I would say this CD has some great music on it... I would get it since its cutting edge new sounds... Enjoy!

    V/A - Filtered Beats

V/A - Filtered Beats Artist: Various Title: Filtered Beats Label: Flow Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Spin : French Connection 02. Filur : Multimeat 03. Paste : Sterilizer 04. XV Kilist : Deremorous 05. Magus : Oxymorus 06. Fabel : Kiss Kiss HMH 07. Human Blue : The Inside 08. Zerotonine : Rrrratoum 09. Prisoners Of The Sun : Klangwelt Review: Flow records really impresses me with thier new upcoming releases. Most of thier releases have booming and banging tracks all very playable in the night. This one opens with a great one by Spin. Some very nice percusion/breaks on this one just progressing all along with a groovy feel and a nice subtle driving bassline. The fourth track by the X.V. Killist is just minimalistically crazy. These guys use a lot of nice percussion and crazy sounds to really progresse your set. Magus track is way crazy like most his releases. The sixth track by Fabel has a great sample, Throughout the track it has a kissing sound. This CD is great. Highlights being Spin, X.V. Killist, and Fabel. jeto@goatrance.com
  12. Atmos And Echo-Lab - Overlap Artist: Atmos And Echo-Lab Title: Overlap Label: Flying Rhino Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'36" Old Painless 02. 07'56" Three Orange Lights 03. 08'26" Mark.13 04. 08'19" Random Landlord 05. 09'25" Mental Luggage 06. 06'52" Logsterfunk 07. 09'25" Klein Aber Doctor 08. 04'40" Always In Control (Red Seal Mix) Review: This Atmos album is diffrent compared to what I expected. Nevertheless it still is kicking very hard in all directions. You can't describe it too much. All I can say is if you like more bouncy sounds with a lot of psychedelic mayhem all around you. Get this one! My only problem is why did he put such an old track the original of Klein Aber Doctor.
