  2. zoinck, this is 4 years old, and you didn't stop producing or ? this is good, just not mastered but with fade up my EQ on my turntable it works fine for me, nice
  3. well I think maybe that's it that's why I propesed soundforge too, a bit vague, was doubting too
  4. the best program is EAC, exact audio copy, off course like nemo's says you have install the lame.exe too cause it's not in the setup file of EAC, EAC is freeware, google it has many options, you can choose for fast ripping or even so detailed it restores broken cd's, slower rippin then there's a guid on the internet how you to configure the program, a bit work but you'll be satisfied, if you're intention is not ripping from original cd's you bought to have back in case it get's damaged then I would say soundforge, but that's not freeware but an amzaing program... hope I helped you out here's a link how to configure but it's in dutch, but now you know where to search, the englisch version will be on the same site I guess or look the same http://users.pandora.be/satcp/eac-qs-nl.htm
  5. tis al beter heb vannacht van 1u tot 6u snachts kunnen werken, hopelijk wreekt hem morgen niet, kga in mijn bedje kruipen
  6. mmm it's more homelistening music for me, allthough live they are maybe more uptempo, bitkit is more dancefloor style imo, still thanx for the tip mate
  7. ahaa don't know that thanx will check it out, I keep up with the latest news but impossible to check everything, my tip: most intilligent, non fluffy, varieted fullon ever made panick - lab o matic from 2006, have it original they deserve to be suported, it's not their debut, that was in 2003 I think...
  8. allright filipe, I had to wait long but it seems it is damn wurthed, can't wait keep up the good work friend
  9. Protoculture - Circadians (2006) ~NANO RECORDS~ 1. Out of Reality 2. Sweet Fine Crystaline 3. Break Out 4. TerraTronics 5. Circadians 6. Innit 7. Hitched 8. Driven 9. Terra Tronics 10. Halo http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/nar/nar1cd014.html Well I have written many reviews in Dutch so reviewing track by track is not my style anymore, I prefer a short trying to be as objective possible review to give the reader a concept what this release is actually about, Well first and very important, when protoculture first released their album in 2003 I guess called ‘refractions’ If I remember correctly it was a blast, Everybody loved it and it was revolution air, off course the morning fullon wave was fresh so artist had lot’s of credits back then comparing to today… This album has imo two interpretations, if you are actual I die hard protoculture fan there is a big chance this album will disappoint you cause protoculture went into a totally different direction comparing to their first album, this is not the protoculture we are used too, still I see no negative points in that, changing styles and directions is a challenge for producers and who wants to make the same music over and over again, I wouldn’t, Well over with the history class lol J This year 2006 we meet protoculture again, and what do they have to offer, The concept protoculture gives us is the pure typical morning fullon formula, nothing special, been done before, heard before, but still they imo created a typical touch with the morning fullon formula especially when it comes to atmosphere… This is so warm and subtle morning fullon, is it cheesy, I guess most people will say yes, but hey I like cheesy J I’m an old skool fan and astral projection, mfg and etc was cheesy too and I still like their old track so why shouldn’t I like cheesy fullon … The sound they created is not new, it’s a bit similar to the fullon climaxes like astrix, delirious, explaining very one layer, just synths going up and down, This album hasn’t got a very high psychedelic level is more based on ‘the euphoria concept’ , Not all tracks have full climaxes, some are just filled with a continue of warm sounds going up and down, speaking through your speakers… One thing is sure, protoculture managed to keep you busy from minute one until the end, it’s not like you have the feeling you have to wait until the 6 minute to hear the climax and that’s it, now the advancement is good and is detailed… What I do prefer is that protoculture used very good samples in this album, the hype of singing women like MICHELLE ADAMSON, which I don't mind don't get me wrong, is not present here, the samples are all from movies I guess, one I recognize from 'what the bleep do we know' but I'm not quite sure, what I'm sure is that the samples are used very professial and fit perfect within the concept they created... Conclusion: this is very very warm and emotional fullon, listening the release you have moments to lay back and enjoy the little sounds and once and while you get euphoria and they create the concept to make some dance steps… Everything fits at the right place and every sounds comes perfectly when it’s needed, some see that as predictable others prefer that as an comfort… Well I like it, not considering the categories of goa I always preferred the subtle trance and within the concept of morning fullon today you can call the new protoculture album as subtle morning fullon, it’s not super fast and not nervous but very smooth…they never go over the top, although there is one climax that is very euphoria and almost a clone of astrix, but for the rest you can count on the fact they stay more low profile… grtz koen
  10. same over here but imagine hypothetical, in 2005 just estimating albums and compilations we had euhm pfff > 1000 releases in 1996 we had not even 400 I guess, well the difference is huge don't fix on the numbers I chosed, but what if we had > 1000 releases in 1996 all using that same more doof kick old skool bassline, people would react the same as now I think, there's just to many that's all, I believe we have as many good releases each year well some more offcourse considering taste but finding them is lot's harder nowdays then 10 years agoo...
  11. never liked ott his original work that much but the remixes of the hallucinogen tracks here he pulled it off big time 10/10
  12. Taika-Kim Goddess Guerrilla 1. Et In Arcadia Ego (If you start, you'd better goa all the way) 2. Auringon Kanssa 3. Zarjaz Beats! 4. Kaikki-Alla 5. Dance of Tomorrow 6. Goddess Guerrilla 7. Vapausvoima 8. Stone Age Economics & Space Age Tools 9. Je Vivroie Liement (AVP Heart of Winter mix) http://www.aavepyora.net/music/goddess/0etukansi.jpg http://www.aavepyora.net/music/goddess/0takakansi.jpg you can download this album and his previous on their site, http://www.aavepyora.net/musa/efp.html please donate if you like the music... well short review listened to this one all night working at home and I love it, saw him live passed weekend and got a copy of this incredeble album. What is Taika-Kim ? 100 % goatrance influences, old skool vibe! all the element are present, the atmosphere, the typical sounds, the more doof kick. I like old skool, specially when I get the chanche to hear something new like this, but how does Taika-Kim keep on drawing my attention all night long, we had old skool artist releasing and producing right now like filteria, khetzal etc... some call them new-school because indeed they use all the element of old skool but the sound and atmosphere is different because of the evolution of music technology... WELL... that's the absolute plus point of Taika for me, not in a thousand years you can hear that this album is released in 2006, it suits perfectly in 1997, if you wouldn't know it, you shouldn't hear, and I think that's amazing, don't know why, but that typical old skool touch is so major present in this release I just can't get enough of it. The symplicity just one second that pops up can be so amazing, to be honest is you analyze this release it isn't that sophisticaded at all, again an example that music is about 'feeling'and not pure based on math in cubase for example, well enough brabbeling, maybe a picture about the music itself. Goddess Guerilla is indeed goatrance like we experienced goatrance in 1997 etc, so it is morning tinted from the beginning until the end, the tracks are not based on fast melodies or basslines but have a continue tempo of speaking waves carressing my ear. Like the first rastaliens they play with their sound continue, and for some it'll be too cheezy. the whole release is a journey, it's not waiting for a climax or better to come, you can count on it any moment. Intro's en outro's are not that special, even the sound they use is not original, but damn it taika kim knows perfect how to use it and keeping your mind busy all night long. More layers are being used, it's not pure one layer moring trance like california sunshine, the typical acid goa sound is present. I don't know how to describe it, their sound is a bit like the old battle of the future buddhas from 1998 and the old ka-sol but not that full, it's like he uses that sound like yahel's first tracks, digital karma, one man game; rastaliens. theirs always a certain layer present but your attention goes to the treble little speaking waves leaving and coming, no full climaxes, no full waves, supriously some vilion very short and that's good, the approach of non direct satisfaction is what I like within goa artist no matter which style, Taika - kim teases the mind, caresses your ears but won't let you unsatisfied at the end of the release, but then again not to overloaded so it's certainly no problem to push the repeat button. thanx for the good live act Taika-Kim liked it a lot, long time agoo old skool drawed my attention so heavenly like this weekend, a suprise I shall never forget Keep up the good work and until next time, heared maxime booked you again, I'll be there. Maximum respect koen
  13. carbon b lifeforms kamal - shamanic healing (1999) Son of the light the mystery of the yeti (but those you already know) well those are low bass, considering if the atmosphere suits you better check,
  14. we do have a goa virus here, and it keeps spreading and attracting new people... I remember 4 years agoo the most popular parties were all posted on that website goatrance.de, well there was a period belgium had more parties then germany, for those who don't know, do I, I'll estimate, Germany is like 7 times that big then belgium and goa was as much present as here, even more, neighbour country together with holland, the fact is it's even more insane, 95% of all the parties thrown in a whole year are based in the north, above the capital BRUSSEL, so the flemisch side each weekend 3 goaparties isn't a rare thing, and I'm talking about a surface (see map) well tried to give a picture don't know if you can put in perspective, but to be honest I think it's a shame , it's overdose, too many, overloaded, and not fun to party anymore but that's my individual experience, even the gouverment freaks on the goaparties and hates the fact that french drugusers come over here to party and get wild, I don't mind, would do the same
  15. understand your opion, my imo it's not the same bassline, all what sounds the same is proof you just don't like it or it's not your style, older goa like goatrance is more variated obvious, allthough, but within the new basslines there's always a difference (there are exeptions off course), in each music scéne you have clones and bad music, but the new fullon or dark whoever uses it requires more attention, with old skool in the beginning it took like 15 times before I actually found the pattern and what made an album special, with morning fullon for example that's still the same but it's layered down beneath a surface of direct satisfaction so people who don't listen to goa or analyse can jump right in... and there it is where you quit, try to hold on and you'll notice there are many artist who already have done remarkble things with that bassline, silicoun sound also, the kick and drive is never used before like in their debut album, at the other hand alien project, astrix, melicia etc well you're right but that's their style, alien project for example even rips all the samples, astrix just copies guitarriffs from talamasca without one change, the huge problem offcourse they all drown within the major releases a week, but they exist the original, talented, rastaliens is another one, very nice fullon bassline but like rinkadink, ultravoice, lamat, digicult, sub 6 and many more have done a pretty good job with that bassline imo, even new skool artists use them like filteria, radical distortion
  16. nice review seraph, first time I read a review of indeed this considering it's time age way way way above album, the speaking sound formula what is now used by everybody but here present and created by pioneers, goatrance or not, it's good
  17. I love it this one, the atmosphere, espcially when you discovered their older work from 1997 first and later 2001 I guess, this is an amazing LP and won't be forgotten
  18. yés you did, there's a topic in the review section in 2006 with post in 2 full reviews, can't miss it
  19. looking forward as always shall I be that polite to post the artwork, amazing job by the way !
  20. amazing progressive album, lot's of brain activity, this is progressive with a slight clubby touch in their treble sounds but it's not housy at all, the basslines are perfectly balanced, the kick is smooth and a pure joy... crystal clear is their mark and subtle they caress your ears with their tracks, positive is that it keeps you busy all the time, what is not easy to achieve when you create progressive imo, well done
  21. HOM-MEGA PRODUCTIONS MFG: Message From God (CD) 1. Save yourselves 2. For the future of mankind 3. Shining faces 4. Positive energy 5. In search of truth 6. The world is a narrow bridge 7. Enlightment 8. Life is a strange journey 9. Shma Israel http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hom/hom1cd047.html review: Well here we are, one of our own gods from the past has released a new album called ‘message from god’, first time I listened to it the idea of yes we already heard this thousand times before came up and felt disappointed… now some weeks later and more time to listen it I took back one of the old skool classics from MFG and suddenly another point off perspective went through my brain when I listened to ‘message of God again’. Ok we already heard this before but this album is 100% pure mfg , the only difference is it’s evolved with the new evolution and the baseline is morning fullon. Well what should you expect, mfg was one of my first artist when I entered the world of goa and back then there’s nothing more melodic on the market then MFG, together with astral projection they actually created the most euphoria goatrance. So why change pattern… Their vision of making fits perfectly in the wave of morning fullon… Euphoria, motivating baselines and from one climax to the other… Problem is a bit mfg isn’t alone anymore… the period we had 100 albums in one year released is over, I think 5 a week are being released at this moment so time has changed, but mfg hasn’t… There goal is still to make people smile with there euphoria climaxes and advancements, and that is perfectly what they are providing is here right now… Their sound is more crystal clear what is off course also because of the evolution of technology… Comparing to other melodic morning fullon artist MFG isn’t better or worse imo. But to me it is still MFG and they were one of THE FIRST to provide the euphoria feeling on the dance floor for me, the tracks that make you smile dancing on an open air festival with sweat dripping all over your face. So if you like morning fullon this release will give you the same satisfaction as it has given back in the days, The album itself contains a certain main sound, what I experience as the mfg sound (not like al there past albums) but you know which ones J… and that’s a good sound, they doesn’t use it over and over but subtle let it flow over the baselines and use it at the right time… The advancement goes slowly but keeps you busy… the level of psychedelic isn’t that high, but the fact is what is psychedelic has changed so many times and is so individual it’s almost impossible to say that without describing, so I’ll describe , it’s not like you hear little psy sound coming from everywhere, this is actual one layer trance, or fat layer trance… based on the euphoria concept… the real concept of morning trance an old sub genre of old skool… Well you have to give this release some time, each tracks it gets more melodic, more interesting and the baselines more motivating and harder… little hint, at track 6 ‘message of god’ explodes in a pure illusion of climaxes and surfing on mfg waves… I like it, it’s not that I experience it as a super album cause so many other artist have already released this concept the competition is huge but I still respect one of my first gods (well I don’t see goa artist as gods anymore) but when I was 16 I did and think many will remember that…. So still MFG keep up the good work, you’re a stayer and with your experience I think we can expect some smashing albums in the past J Let’s hope so, Thanks for this one (and specially track 6 and the last ) Grtz koen
  22. AVIGMATIC RECORDS DigiCult: Avenida De Belgica (CD) 1. Instinct 2. All Balls Out 3. Twisted 4. Avenida De Belgica 5. Leap Of Faith 6. The Way In 7. Spiritual 8. Brainwash 9. Lightshaper Well here it is, The second Belgium artist with their debut album and once again imo one to be pride off. This is imo the most difficult review I ever started, cause in this situation I know the artist and the fact is although each review is subjective according to the reviewers taste there is an other area, influence I had to compete with, one of the two members Bert asked me long time ago the first time I heard some of their tracks, If I liked it? and I said yes I do. But how far do I like it because it’s made by a friend of my own age. The sub consciousness was playing a roll here, off course you say you like it, it’s your friend. Well in Israel this may sound ordinary but in Belgium not every 18 year kid living on it’s own is making goa (kidding  ), so normally when people ask me to review their album I put in on my mp3 player for one week and then say, yep I like it and review it, or no I don’t let somebody else do it, Well without exaggerating I have come at this point that I have listened to this album > 100 times to lower down that subjective level within the subjective concept of my perspective. Enough intro about credibility, General: for those who don’t like long review, general will do Digicult is morning fullon, it’s based on the typical morning fullon formula like we all know psychedelic trance evolved since end 2002 – begin 2003. Digicult actually achieved with Avenida De Belgica to create a concept, how did they do it. The main mark of their formula is CONTRAST ! contrast leads to variety, variety keeps your mind focus. Within this release you’ll experience hard strong baselines, uplifting climaxes, slight fluffy but then again aggressive and crying for more ! In their advancement subtle is their force, playing with their sound creating the atmosphere for more. Although it’s morning fullon, the interpretation of the atmosphere is pure individual, if you compare it to other morning fullon artist I experience it more tuff, hard, industrial, creepy. But at the other hand the subtle guitars and intro’s are just the opposite, contrast I tell you. Digicult actually provides many atmospheres changing within a track, changing baselines and etc. The sky is the limit and I know they don’t own a plain but still. Let’s get more technical, The baselines are very motivating, the kick is a bit duff but the drive keeps on rolling together with the upper sounds. As a start they often use a walk in the woods baseline and then take off with a more faster drive. Their sound is unique. Off course is still goa but extremely psychedelic, it’s goes through your brain and is ultimate sharp. To be morning fullon is say heads off, this sound is crystal clear, perfect balanced and comes on strong. It’s not pure synths but a crackling wave of a thousand little sounds moving into the same direction, one faster then the other, some ahead, some at the back. Rastaliens frogs singing along Actually Avenida De Belgica is a journey from beginning to the end, there’s not one minute you are bored, there’s not one second your ears won’t notice a psychedelic masterpiece caressing it. Not like many other artist who just build up to a climax and then sudden stop Digicult takes his time with an intro and outro so you can smoothly surf on the fullon waves. The eye for detail is highly present here as you will notice. The combination of dance floor psy trance and home listening psytrance if you are in the mood. I could write on and on but you just have to listen for yourself, that’s always like that, Why different here 1. Instinct What I like in this track a lot is the sample. "I never belonged in this world, ... i wasn't made for this, ... but i'll never forget ... those who betrayed me ... and, those who never failed my trust ... So, ..., i'll seek justice for myself, i'll choose the truth i like ... forget the past and relie on your instincts ... Don’t know from which movie it is or whatever but It’s so real to the bone I love it ! They start with a walk in the woods baseline like I said in general and speed up the release with a harder drive. Little talking psy sound are coming from everywhere, everything fits perfectly, snares are being used, but no guitar climaxes. With less advancement Digicult shows us directly what a massive and strong sound they created, it speaks wise but no uplifting compared with detailed floating influences. 2. All Balls Out Has always been and until now is still my favourite, the wave they use comparing with the guitar sound is a bit repeating but I kind of like can’t get enough of it. The end climax is super, a masterpiece. The sudden area when they create the feeling it stops they just go further and after the climax the way they smoothly end the track is like saying thanks you to the listener for his attention. Mmmm, I noticed that I wrote much in general and it’s hard not to repeat so the review of the tracks won’t be that long, This release is like one whole track, that’s the problem, you just like the digital concept or you don’t. If you do each track will be another great experience. 3. Twisted The Bart Simpson sample is safe introduced and produced within the track, they play with the sample just like they play with their sound. Bart Simpson sample : in the 1960s, LSD tablets might be decorated with the batman logo or superman's insignia, in the 1990s the most popular design chosen by manufacturers of illicit LSD is Bart Simpson’s head' ... Again we start with a walk in the woods baseline warming us up for further to come. With a sudden break the drive fills my speakers and is mainly present. Softly plays Digicult with their sound not to overloaded. But yét enough to keep it going. Together with their typical sounds crystal clear sound fill the room and smoothly the under wave announces the upcoming climax. Again an overload of crying forces sweeps through my brain but as gentile Digicult is, there is no brusque stop but smooth lowering down the climax to a an all everything perfect at the right time moment end. 4. Avenida de béligica A soft slight latino guitar used as intro creates a calm atmosphere but not for long, strong and stubborn the bass enters the tracks and a high tempo motivating drive is created, the advancement is very subtle, one sound of another, not loaded at all, surfing on the morning fullon waves. Slowly their typical sounds arrives and becomes bigger and bigger and without expecting it, you are in a climax. Good song. 5. Leap of faith Walk in the woods baseline again to enter, keeps on scoring with me, very atmospheric sounds being used, a female voice at the background and underneath their sound softly. A long break and here we go. Again the same motivating concept of baseline with subtle sounds creating a mystique atmosphere, the feeling this is trance thought trough many times rises like hell. At the 3rd minute the climax is their sound but more fluffy, more morning tinted, not that aggressive, and also the outcome after the climax is still warm and emotional, this track shows another side of Digicult we haven’t seen yet. At the end the climax gets more emotional and warmer what is nice, artist who are not afraid to leave their pattern within the same album. 6. The way in. The kick and only the kick announces the track, following by a female voices speaking ‘ok here it comes’. The baseline explodes like a tornado going up en down at the end like a storm at sea. In the way in we experience their typical rastaliens frog sound speaking very fast but at a certain point it becomes a wave leading it’s on path away from the baseline like we used to know in old skool releases. 7. Spiritual Bass lines walk in the woods, but at the moment we expect a faster baseline they keep on holding that walk in the woods baseline and play with different psychedelic sounds, teasing your mind, very enjoyable. Still there’s no way out  and the motivating drive should enter any moment, with a long subtle break and reforming they announce it very original. Their typical speaking sounds is absolute present here, and I forgot since track 3 how hard it could scream and cry for more. Nice. 8. Brainwash I think this baseline although it’s still Digicult is the less original, it’s motivating but not that sophisticated. The advancement is mainstream. Yet they surprise us with a psychedelic wave that is die hard present but totally not what we expect from Digicult, uplifting but no crackling, speaking, but one layer. The baseline goes in walk in the woods style and starts of just like it left itself 30 sec ago. The end climax is again a warmer sound, not their typical sound, it’s one layer, subtle, and caresses your ears, good variations Digicult 9. Lightshaper Lightshaper providers us here a total different form off baseline, the kick isn’t that duff anymore but ticks more like we are used to know in morning fullon. The advancement is well done basically the treble sound, their sound reformed in a giant snare creating an uplifting movement. The track is a continue of psychedelic sounds and a bit floating out of the strong goa experience we just had. Conclusion: 1. was it necessary to describe all the tracks: I would say no Is this album worth describing all the tracks hell yeah… This is what I look for in morning fullon, continue variety, a good level of psychedelica, strong baselines, but artist who don’t score to be the fastest or to be the most melodic, but just create their own concept just like Digicult did and proves the sky is the limit, how many concept are their still waiting for us. Well here is one ! Enjoy ! grtz koen
  23. well they do play live gaetan, that's like 5% off all the goa artist comparing to the others, allthough I understand, I love the music but experiencing them live it's not my cup of tea too, can't have it all I guess
