granted, i uploaded it in 2010. but still its something. made it with reason 5 (or was it 3) and soundforge to edit the samples. then used Redrum to sequence them. bassline is Subtractor. background stuff is Thor. drums are random samples i found on the internet. hope someone likes it on here. 2:30 > is my favorite part

What is interesting is how different kick, bass, snare and open hat levels (which is a surprisingly important one) are through psy trance tracks. Be it 2007 or 2022. What I have noticed is the levels of these elements have no influence on whether I fundamentally like the track or not.
aint that the truth. and speaking of your track, ive had it on repeat now a few times and well, im a big fan.. i think i will take back what i said about kick being too loud. maybe. regardless, its a perfect sound and its a new favorite of mine. i wish more psytrance had melodies like this. its really good.
speaking of melodic psytrance i know padmapani has some serious tracks in his chest, just waiting to get released... cant wait until that happen..

well thats good . i never heard the SC mastering algo so maybe it was used or not, perhaps it works well who knows
kick sounds very nice, and perhaps its just the perfect volume. i suppose its slightly subjective. but you saying thats how you want it, i buy that.
the track sounds very nice. quick reply i know but i just so happened to be online atm

okay thanks m8 that sounds good!

very nice. the square wave leads remind me of when all i had was reason, and subtractor. (around 2003-2006 id say) if anything, turn down the volume of kick just slightly.
but its a great kick, just probably a bit too loud maybe.
when you say "SC master" does that mean you used the new mastering thing on soundcloud?

very nice tsotsi. If im ever in the need for another pair of in ears, ill probably buy a pair of tws since well, its just nice with no cables. Thanks for your expertise on the matter
one thing i found annoying with the sonys i had, was the latency.. i guess thats an issue with bluetooth tho and not sony per se. how is the current gen of bluetooth fairing with delay? lets say you play a game on your phone, sometimes i play hearthstone on the go and it was a bit annoying to hear the sound nearly 1sec later than the visual.

very nice, very clean sounds without sounding too artificial. release ready for sure. only minor thing is maybe turn down volume just ever so slightly on the bass.

You would probably be impressed with the SQ of of the Sennheiser MTW3. But as all you from the 90's know, it's hard to beat a classic.
Ooph I once swore I would never go away from headphones. now I swear I won't pick a phone without a 3.5, I'm sure that will one-day change as well.
Tws are my new addiction, there are a couple of cheaper brands with better sound and features than the Sony as well as a guy that's tuned a $100 aud pair to sound better than them too.
tws seem like a fun (but expensive) hobby. but if you had to chose 1 pair, which would be the very best? no matter the price.

fair enough granpa. but honestly you could do much better than those hd280 pro, you have a whole world of headphones to chose from, no need for any parallell imports. akg k812, focal spirit, at r70x or beyer dt 1990 pro just to name a few.. and if you like sennheiser than a vintage HD540 is just amazin

WF-1000XM3 is what i used for a while and thought they were pretty good. but i had it on loan from a friend and returned them after we became incommunicado. no matter, still have the sennheiser IE-8. but with phones no longer having 3.5 i have to use a freaking dongle with built in dac.
btw to the senior above maybe you should think about upgrading those ancient plasticy crappy things to something you can actually enjoy.. its your golden years isnt it? you deserve some proper cans while you enjoy that whiskey after your great grand kids finally left the house and took that bloody dog with them

damn this good from 1999. its like AP - Ambient Galaxy meets Earthbound - Essence of life
-
Reminds me too much of 2010s Electric Universe. Which i guess is either a bad thing or a good thing depending on who you ask :p
I dont hear much of either AP or Oforia here, and that is kind of interesting. Maybe they could become a group and make brand new music like this, that doesnt sound like either of them. But for the next Astral album, I hope its more in line with the astral sound than this.
I rate this 3.8 bitcrushers out of 5

I ended buying Yamaha HS5
pretty bad choice tbh for a 5 incher you want "sweetness" rather than harhness, like jbl 5, m audio bx5, behringer truth 5.
yamaha 5 just sells by its name, but the speakers themselves leave alot to be wanted

still one of the best neogoa tracks there ever was. nothing like his latest album where everything sounds crap mcfly. this at least had the kick going down the fundamental vs the new shit who cut that shit off using a shitty filter. Got damn im angry over that. This genius made this track then he made the latest almost 10 years later. What happened? How can you go backwards my dude? This was your peak this and Filtertraces/Wormhole and the rest of that album... Im sad and happy at the same time. Im happy you made this but sad you stop making this

Thanks for listening! Yeah, I transcribed it by ear (I don't think you can find a midi of it on the internet), pretty much note-to-note, but I'm a professional classical musician by day, and I've done a whole concert's worth Frank Zappa music in the past for a gig, so I felt up to the task...
Very well done. You should offer transcription as a service to people.

Who disappointed you? That's the most interesting thing to me cause I assume everyone does well and when they don't that's interesting innit

what a treat to get both filteria and artifact303 on the forum in such a small window of time..
Its rare to say the least. Thanks for your commentary.

nice. mastering seems very good, its loud and punchy and doesnt seem to suffer from neither distortions nor aliasing.
musically its very groovy and driving. it has a swedish progressive vibe to it, but more melodius.
theres a lead melody arp that sounds a bit like a sylenth1 preset that could probably need some more work.
kick and bass is nice, hihats, and percussion are nice. the acid that comes in after a while is very nice also.
sonically theres plenty of punch, sub and depth, compared to many pro tracks it sounds better.. allinall i think youre very much onto something here and would look forward to more. i like when the sonic palette fills the whole spectrum, not high passed like some other music are these days, people are so afraid of sub nowadays...
