Fucking hell. Enderal: Forgotten Stories was released a few days ago. Might be time for a third revisit to this game soon XD
https://store.steampowered.com/app/933480/Enderal_Forgotten_Stories/Pretty amazing how good they can make this game look on such an old, broken-ass engine. I may need to check this out !

*cha-ching*
Bought !
Congratulations on the release ! =)

I'm delighted to see some love for "Aurora Borealis", the original is the first goa trance track I've ever listened to some 20 odd years ago and holds a very special place in my heart -- so as soon as I saw your post I jumped on the link...
..and I'm not disappointed! Great stuff ! It's really "floaty" and relaxing, I thoroughly enjoyed it start to finish.
Moar plz <3

*cough* cough* Maybe

Probably not the kind of stuff you'd expect though

B-b-but that eye has truly seen shit!
and the Honest Trailer bit was still funny dammit :p

I'm sorry for contributing absolutely nothing to this thread but I had the voice from the "Honest Trailer" dudes in my head while reading your intro and it was hilarious.

Right, so first things first, I'd like to deeply apologize to @psytones for taking so long to make this post, real life has been pretty chaotic those past few months ! Thank you for your patience and for nudging me in the direction of this release!
To everybody else... I've never ever written any kind of music review, so please bear with me
Now, without further ado...let's get started.
1 Magic Science Of DNA
That track is very brooding and a sense of impending danger persists throughout the 18 (wtf man, 18? :p) minutes.
The melodic parts/stabs around the 10min mark are a really nice touch and change the pace a bit, and is a welcomed addition. At first, I thought the main break to be a bit long? But then again, yeah it's an 18 minutes piece so you definitely need to catch your breath a little bit !2. Musica Electronica
Not much to say technically on this one. I felt it to be the most melancholic one, and that's stuff that, at least in my opinion, can't be expressed by words. I've enjoyed it very much though !3. Voice of Pressed Tin
OK for that one, don't ask me why but I got newschool Astral Projection vibes (if that means anything) out of it Oo At least for the first half ! The background FX drenched in reverb give it a strange, eerie feeling, I like it.4. Sonic Fromasj
Aaah I'm a sucker for percs. Lovely intro. The instrumental assets sound really good and give the track a nice gypsy-esque vibe. The track then takes a sharp turn towards Dark Tribal land and it's fucking BOUNCING. Did I tell you I was a sucker for percs? The haunting pads at the 6:00 mark are a nice touch to the overall feeling of loneliness hanging around this track, leading us to the gated lead around the 8:00 mark, whose melody brings us back closer to the light.A very solid release in my opinion. This is not my usual kind of stuff but I did listen to the full thing with pleasure. Technically, imo, no sound design or mixing flaw can be heard, it's very well produced. Each track possess its own atmosphere and groove, so you're not feeling like you're listening to the same stuff for an hour.
I think my favorite track is number 4 !

Woo ! Happy birthday =)

Besides very private/familly events (special birthdays for example) France has seen a couple of collectives pick up the slack for the last two years (Taïma & Cosmic Train, mainly), resulting in 2 or 3 pure goa parties a year, which is a definite improvement over 0; but sadly nowhere near the level of some countries (*cough* Belgium *cough*).
The rest is your typical run-off-the-mill prog/full-on stuff in clubs and that's eww (not even dissing the actual type of music there, mind you, only speaking about "teh vibes").

Well, obviously that didn't last long. Of course Skyrim is back in my Steam library. I think I re-enabled it when I found out about Enderal, or then I just wanted SE for free after all
Haven't played SE that much, I have a bit of an itching to start modding it, but it seems that not all mods I consider essential have been ported to SE yet. The most positive surprise though is that Wyrmstooth has been ported, I thought I'd never see that one again when the original mod/expansion was deleted from practically the entire internet a few years ago.Yep -- been a couple of years since my last foray into Skyrim, but with SKSE being finally available for the Special Edition, now might just be the time to reinstall and take a virtual stroll in Solitude again

Still waiting for this song to be released! Really, just waiting for the whole album to be released!
This actually sounds pretty good -- I'm definitely curious now.

So no other fellow cannibals so far?

I'm not one for words so I'll keep it short and simple -- this sounds like a carefully balanced mix between Arcana and Nemesis and it owns.
favorite track: Rise of the Dacians.
congrats to E-Mantra & Suntrip!

I'm but a simple man... I see E-Mantra, I then immediately proceed to check-out.

If you get a faithful hardware clone, you WILL get something that can do "that 303 sound" and nothing else. If that's not enough for you, go with something else. The Revolution appears to have DSP effects built in, so already that's beyond the 303. I have a x0xb0x and it almost gets the 303 sound, but it's not perfect. A little too sterile sounding at certain settings, but still I like it, and I like the limitations.
If you want an acid sound that will sit in a dense mix like they're often used in psy, then any 303 software will get you there. If you want an upfront 303 sound like in acid techno, a good hardware clone is the better way to go. I used to use ABL2, and it had more capability than the x0xb0x, but I personally would never go back. I like the knobs and the imperfections.
Perfect summary.

I was a bit ironic when I posted this. It's offensive stuff indeed and given the fact that it comes from one of the veterans in the genre, makes it even more pathetic.
My most sincere apologies, the sarcasm flew way way over my head there

But "the old Talamasca is back" tho.

key changes (I really hate them, they always sound awkward and distracting)

None from above. It's just different times, different crowd wanting different music. Fresh music, modern sound. Old school has it own period and it was great.
I am more confused with new school. Every other styled evolved and improved almost till perfection with technology and tools that are here now except Goa. Pick any style and listen to sound quality then listen to new Goa... it's like most amateurish sounding style. Can't we do it better? And why?
Spending 3 months on a kick and a 2 notes rolling bassline and nothing else like all modern-day psy isn't really the epitome of evolution in my (unpopular) opinion.
